Proverbi 9

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La sapienza si è costruita la sua casa, ha intagliato le sue sette colonne.	1 Wisdom has built herself a house, she has hewn her seven pil ars,
2 Ha ucciso il suo bestiame, ha preparato il suo vino e ha imbandito la sua tavola.	2 she has slaughtered her beasts, drawn her wine, she has laid her table.
3 Ha mandato le sue ancelle a proclamare sui punti più alti della città:	3 She has despatched her maidservants and proclaimed from the heights above the city,
4 «Chi è inesperto venga qui!». A chi è privo di senno ella dice:	4 'Who is simple? Let him come this way.' To the fool she says,
5 «Venite, mangiate il mio pane, bevete il vino che io ho preparato.	5 'Come and eat my bread, drink the wine which I have drawn!
6 Abbandonate l’inesperienza e vivrete, andate diritti per la via dell’intelligenza».	6 Leave foolishness behind and you wil live, go forwards in the ways of perception.'
7 Chi corregge lo spavaldo ne riceve disprezzo e chi riprende il malvagio ne riceve oltraggio.	7 Reprove a mocker and you attract contempt, rebuke the wicked and you attract dishonour.
8 Non rimproverare lo spavaldo per non farti odiare; rimprovera il saggio ed egli ti sarà grato.	8 Do not rebuke the mocker, he wil hate you. Rebuke the wise and he wil love you for it.
9 Da’ consigli al saggio e diventerà ancora più saggio; istruisci il giusto ed egli aumenterà il sapere.	9 Be open with the wise, he grows wiser stil , teach the upright, he wil gain yet more.
10 Principio della sapienza è il timore del Signore, e conoscere il Santo è intelligenza.	10 The first principle of wisdom is the fear of Yahweh, What God's holy ones know -- this isunderstanding.
11 Per mezzo mio si moltiplicheranno i tuoi giorni, ti saranno aumentati gli anni di vita.	11 For by me your days wil be multiplied, and your years of life increased.
12 Se sei sapiente, lo sei a tuo vantaggio, se sei spavaldo, tu solo ne porterai la pena.	12 Are you wise? You are wise to your own good. A mocker? The burden is yours alone.
13 Donna follia è irrequieta, sciocca e ignorante.	13 A silly woman acts on impulse, is foolish and knows nothing.
14 Sta seduta alla porta di casa, su un trono, in un luogo alto della città,	14 She sits at the door of her house, on a throne high up in the city,
15 per invitare i passanti che vanno diritti per la loro strada:	15 cal ing to the passers-by, who are walking straight past on their way,
16 «Chi è inesperto venga qui!». E a chi è privo di senno ella dice:	16 'Who is simple? Turn aside, come over here.' To the fool she says,
17 «Le acque furtive sono dolci, il pane preso di nascosto è gustoso».	17 'Stolen waters are sweet, and bread tastes better when eaten in secret.'
18 Egli non si accorge che là ci sono le ombre e i suoi invitati scendono nel profondo del regno dei morti.	18 But the fool does not know that this is where the Shades are and that her guests are already in thevales of Sheol.
