BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 'Salmo. Di Asaf.' O Dio, nella tua eredità sono entrate le nazioni, hanno profanato il tuo santo tempio, hanno ridotto in macerie Gerusalemme.	1 [Psalm Of Asaph] God, the pagans have invaded your heritage, they have defiled your holy temple,they have laid Jerusalem in ruins,
2 Hanno abbandonato i cadaveri dei tuoi servi in pasto agli uccelli del cielo, la carne dei tuoi fedeli agli animali selvaggi.	2 they have left the corpses of your servants as food for the birds of the air, the bodies of your faithful forthe wild beasts.
3 Hanno versato il loro sangue come acqua intorno a Gerusalemme, e nessuno seppelliva.	3 Around Jerusalem they have shed blood like water, leaving no one to bury them.
4 Siamo divenuti l'obbrobrio dei nostri vicini, scherno e ludibrio di chi ci sta intorno.	4 We are the scorn of our neighbours, the butt and laughing-stock of those around us.
5 Fino a quando, Signore, sarai adirato: per sempre? Arderà come fuoco la tua gelosia?	5 How long will you be angry, Yahweh? For ever? Is your jealousy to go on smouldering like a fire?
6 Riversa il tuo sdegno sui popoli che non ti riconoscono e sui regni che non invocano il tuo nome,	6 Pour out your anger on the nations who do not acknowledge you, and on the kingdoms that do not callon your name;
7 perché hanno divorato Giacobbe, hanno devastato la sua dimora.	7 for they have devoured Jacob and devastated his home.
8 Non imputare a noi le colpe dei nostri padri, presto ci venga incontro la tua misericordia, poiché siamo troppo infelici.	8 Do not count against us the guilt of former generations, in your tenderness come quickly to meet us,for we are utterly weakened;
9 Aiutaci, Dio, nostra salvezza, per la gloria del tuo nome, salvaci e perdona i nostri peccati per amore del tuo nome.	9 help us, God our Saviour, for the glory of your name; Yahweh, wipe away our sins, rescue us for thesake of your name.
10 Perché i popoli dovrebbero dire: "Dov'è il loro Dio?". Si conosca tra i popoli, sotto i nostri occhi, la vendetta per il sangue dei tuoi servi.	10 Why should the nations ask, 'Where is their God?' Let us see the nations suffer vengeance forshedding your servants' blood.
11 Giunga fino a te il gemito dei prigionieri; con la potenza della tua mano salva i votati alla morte.	11 May the groans of the captive reach you, by your great strength save those who are condemned todeath!
12 Fa' ricadere sui nostri vicini sette volte l'affronto con cui ti hanno insultato, Signore.	12 Repay our neighbours sevenfold for the insults they have level ed at you, Lord.
13 E noi, tuo popolo e gregge del tuo pascolo, ti renderemo grazie per sempre; di età in età proclameremo la tua lode.	13 And we, your people, the flock that you pasture, will thank you for ever, wil recite your praises fromage to age.
