2 Sia benedetto il nome del Signore, ora e sempre.	2 Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forever.
3 Dal sorgere del sole al suo tramonto sia lodato il nome del Signore.	3 From the rising of the sun to its setting let the name of the LORD be praised.
4 Su tutti i popoli eccelso è il Signore, più alta dei cieli è la sua gloria.	4 High above all nations is the LORD; above the heavens God's glory.
5 Chi è pari al Signore nostro Dio che siede nell'alto	5 Who is like the LORD, our God enthroned on high,
6 e si china a guardare nei cieli e sulla terra?	6 looking down on heaven and earth?
7 Solleva l'indigente dalla polvere, dall'immondizia rialza il povero,	7 The LORD raises the needy from the dust, lifts the poor from the ash heap,
8 per farlo sedere tra i principi, tra i principi del suo popolo.	8 Seats them with princes, the princes of the people,
9 Fa abitare la sterile nella sua casa quale madre gioiosa di figli.	9 Gives the childless wife a home, the joyful mother of children. Hallelujah!
