Salmos 34

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. Cuando fingiéndose demente ante Abimélek, fue despachado por él y se marchó.	1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.
2 Alef. Bendeciré a Yahveh en todo tiempo, sin cesar en mi boca su alabanza;	2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.
3 Bet. en Yahveh mi alma se gloría, ¡óiganlo los humildes y se alegren!	3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.
4 Guimel. Engrandeced conmigo a Yahveh, ensalcemos su nombre todos juntos.	4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.
5 Dálet. He buscado a Yahveh, y me ha respondido: me ha librado de todos mis temores.	5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.
6 He. Los que miran hacia él, refulgirán: no habrá sonrojo en su semblante.	6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.
7 Zain. Cuando el pobre grita, Yahveh oye, y le salva de todas sus angustias.	7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 Jet. Acampa el ángel de Yahveh en torno a los que le temen y los libra.	8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.
9 Tet. Gustad y ved qué bueno es Yahveh, dichoso el hombre que se cobija en él.	9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.
10 Yod. Temed a Yahveh vosotros, santos suyos, que a quienes le temen no les falta nada.	10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.
11 Kaf. Los ricos quedan pobres y hambrientos, mas los que buscan a Yahveh de ningún bien carecen.	11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.
12 Lámed. Venid, hijos, oídme, el temor de Yahveh voy a enseñaros.	12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?
13 Mem. ¿Quién es el hombre que apetece la vida, deseoso de días para gozar de bienes?	13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.
14 Nun. Guarda del mal tu lengua, tus labios de decir mentira;	14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
15 Sámek. apártate del mal y obra el bien, busca la paz y anda tras ella.	15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.
16 Ain. Los ojos de Yahveh sobre los justos, y sus oídos hacia su clamor,	16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 Pe el rostro de Yahveh contra los malhechores, para raer de la tierra su memoria.	17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.
18 Sade. Cuando gritan aquéllos, Yahveh oye, y los libra de todas sus angustias;	18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 Qof. Yahveh está cerca de los que tienen roto el corazón. él salva a los espíritus hundidos.	19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.
20 Res. Muchas son las desgracias del justo, pero de todas le libera Yahveh;	20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.
21 Sin. todos sus huesos guarda, no será quebrantado ni uno solo.	21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.
22 Tau. La malicia matará al impío, los que odian al justo lo tendrán que pagar.	22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.
23 Yahveh rescata el alma de sus siervos, nada habrán de pagar los que en él se cobijan.
