1 De David. Cuando fingiéndose demente ante Abimélek, fue despachado por él y se marchó.	1 Of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, who forced him to depart.
2 Alef. Bendeciré a Yahveh en todo tiempo, sin cesar en mi boca su alabanza;	2 I will bless the LORD at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth.
3 Bet. en Yahveh mi alma se gloría, ¡óiganlo los humildes y se alegren!	3 My soul will glory in the LORD that the poor may hear and be glad.
4 Guimel. Engrandeced conmigo a Yahveh, ensalcemos su nombre todos juntos.	4 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
5 Dálet. He buscado a Yahveh, y me ha respondido: me ha librado de todos mis temores.	5 I sought the LORD, who answered me, delivered me from all my fears.
6 He. Los que miran hacia él, refulgirán: no habrá sonrojo en su semblante.	6 Look to God that you may be radiant with joy and your faces may not blush for shame.
7 Zain. Cuando el pobre grita, Yahveh oye, y le salva de todas sus angustias.	7 In my misfortune I called, the LORD heard and saved me from all distress.
8 Jet. Acampa el ángel de Yahveh en torno a los que le temen y los libra.	8 The angel of the LORD, who encamps with them, delivers all who fear God.
9 Tet. Gustad y ved qué bueno es Yahveh, dichoso el hombre que se cobija en él.	9 Learn to savor how good the LORD is; happy are those who take refuge in him.
10 Yod. Temed a Yahveh vosotros, santos suyos, que a quienes le temen no les falta nada.	10 Fear the LORD, you holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him.
11 Kaf. Los ricos quedan pobres y hambrientos, mas los que buscan a Yahveh de ningún bien carecen.	11 The powerful grow poor and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
12 Lámed. Venid, hijos, oídme, el temor de Yahveh voy a enseñaros.	12 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
13 Mem. ¿Quién es el hombre que apetece la vida, deseoso de días para gozar de bienes?	13 Who among you loves life, takes delight in prosperous days?
14 Nun. Guarda del mal tu lengua, tus labios de decir mentira;	14 Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies.
15 Sámek. apártate del mal y obra el bien, busca la paz y anda tras ella.	15 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
16 Ain. Los ojos de Yahveh sobre los justos, y sus oídos hacia su clamor,	16 The LORD has eyes for the just and ears for their cry.
17 Pe el rostro de Yahveh contra los malhechores, para raer de la tierra su memoria.	17 The LORD'S face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth.
18 Sade. Cuando gritan aquéllos, Yahveh oye, y los libra de todas sus angustias;	18 When the just cry out, the LORD hears and rescues them from all distress.
19 Qof. Yahveh está cerca de los que tienen roto el corazón. él salva a los espíritus hundidos.	19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed.
20 Res. Muchas son las desgracias del justo, pero de todas le libera Yahveh;	20 Many are the troubles of the just, but the LORD delivers from them all.
21 Sin. todos sus huesos guarda, no será quebrantado ni uno solo.	21 God watches over all their bones; not a one shall be broken.
22 Tau. La malicia matará al impío, los que odian al justo lo tendrán que pagar.	22 Evil will slay the wicked; those who hate the just are condemned.
23 Yahveh rescata el alma de sus siervos, nada habrán de pagar los que en él se cobijan.	23 The LORD redeems loyal servants; no one is condemned whose refuge is God.
