Geremia 28

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 In quello stesso anno, nel principio del regno di Sedecia, re di Giuda, nel quinto mese del quarto anno, il profeta Anania, figlio di Azor, di Gabaon, mi disse nella casa del Signore, davanti ai sacerdoti e a tutto il popolo:	1 That same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fifth month of the fourthyear, the prophet Hananiah son of Azzur, a Gibeonite, spoke as follows to Jeremiah in the Temple of Yahweh inthe presence of the priests and of al the people,
2 « Cosi parla il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele: — Io ho spezzato il giogo del re di Babilonia.	2 'Yahweh Sabaoth, the God of Israel, says this, "I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 Ancora due anni, ed io farò riportare in questo luogo tutti i vasi della casa del Signore, che Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia da questo luogo trasportò in Babilonia,	3 In exactly two years' time I shal bring back al the vessels of the Temple of Yahweh whichNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from here and carried off to Babylon.
4 e farò ritornare in questo luogo Geconia, figlio di Ioachim, re di Giuda, e tutti gli esuli di Giuda che sono andati a Babilonia — dice il Signore — perchè io spezzerò il giogo del re di Babilonia ».	4 And I shal also bring back Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah and al the exiles of Judah whohave gone to Babylon, Yahweh declares, for I shal break the yoke of the king of Babylon." '
5 Il profeta Geremia rispose al profeta Anania, davanti ai sacerdoti e a tutto il popolo che stava nella casa del Signore.	5 The prophet Jeremiah then replied to the prophet Hananiah in front of the priests and al the peoplepresent in the Temple of Yahweh.
6 Disse il profeta Geremia: « Così sia! Cosi faccia il Signore! Il Signore compia le parole della tua profezia in modo che tornino i vasi nella casa del Signore e tutti gli esuli da Babilonia in questo luogo.	6 'So be it!' the prophet Jeremiah said, 'May Yahweh do so! May he fulfil the words that you haveprophesied and bring al the vessels of the Temple of Yahweh and al the exiles back to this place from Babylon.
7 Tuttavia stai a sentire questa parola che io pronunzio per i tuoi orecchi e per gli orecchi di tutto il popolo.	7 Listen carefully, however, to this word that I am now going to say for you and al the people to hear:
8 I profeti che furono avanti di me o di te, fin da principio, profetarono anch'essi, a molte regioni e a grandi regni, guerre, tribolazioni e fame.	8 From remote times, the prophets who preceded you and me prophesied war, disaster and plague formany countries and for great kingdoms;
9 Un profeta che predice la pace sarà riconosciuto per profeta veramente mandato dal Signore, avverato che sia quanto ha detto ». Allora il profeta Anania prese il giogo dal collo del profeta Geremia, e lo spezzò.	9 the prophet who prophesies peace can be recognised as one truly sent by Yahweh only when his wordcomes true.'
10 E Anania disse davanti a tutto il popolo: « Ecco quanto dice il Signore: Così, di qui a due anni, io spezzerò il giogo di Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia dal collo di tutte le nazioni ».	10 The prophet Hananiah then snatched the yoke off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it.
11 Allora il profeta Geremia se ne andò per la sua strada. Ma il Signore parlò a Geremia, dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe spezzata la catena dal collo del profeta Geremia, e gli disse:	11 In front of al the people Hananiah then said, 'Yahweh says this, "This is how, in exactly two years'time, I shall break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and take it off the necks of al the nations." ' Atthis, the prophet Jeremiah went away.
12 « Va a dire ad Anania: Ecco quanto dice il Signore: Hai spezzate le catene di legno, ma vi sostituirai quelle di ferro;	12 After the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke he had snatched off the prophet Jeremiah's neck,the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah,
13 perché ecco quanto dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele: Ho posto un giogo di ferro sopra il collo di tutte queste nazioni, in modo da farle servire a Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia, e gli serviranno, di più ho assoggettate a lui anche le bestie della terra ».	13 'Go to Hananiah and tell him this, "Yahweh says this: You have broken the wooden yokes only tomake iron yokes to replace them!
14 E il profeta Geremia disse al profeta Anania: « Ascolta, Anania: non ti ha mandato il Signore, e tu hai fatto in modo che questo popolo abbia fiducia nella menzogna.	14 For Yahweh Sabaoth, the God of Israel, says this: An iron yoke is what I now lay on the necks of althese nations to enslave them to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. (They wil be enslaved to him; I have evengiven him the wild animals.)" '
15 Per questo, cosi parla il Signore: Ecco che io ti caccerò dalla faccia della terra, tu morrai in quest'anno, perchè hai parlato contro il Signore ».	15 The prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, 'Listen careful y, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sentyou; and thanks to you this people is now relying on what is false.
16 E in quell'annó, al settimo mese, moti il profeta Anania.	16 And so, Yahweh says this, "I am going to send you off the face of the earth: you wil die this year(since you have preached rebel ion against Yahweh)." '
	17 The prophet Hananiah died the same year, in the seventh month.
