1 Questi sono i nomi delle tribù: dal confine settentrionale, lungo la via di Chetlon, all’ingresso di Camat, fino a Casar-Enàn, con a settentrione il confine di Damasco e lungo il territorio di Camat, dal lato d’oriente fino al mare, sarà assegnata a Dan una parte.	1 ' "This is the list of the tribes. One portion in the far north by way of Hethlon to the Pass of Hamath, toHazer-Enon, with the territory of Damascus to the north, and marching with Hamath, from the eastern limit to thewestern limit: Dan.
2 Sul confine di Dan, dal lato orientale al lato occidentale: Aser, una parte.	2 One portion bordering Dan, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Asher.
3 Sul confine di Aser, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: Nèftali, una parte.	3 One portion bordering Asher, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Naphtali.
4 Sul confine di Nèftali, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: Manasse, una parte.	4 One portion bordering Naphtali, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Manasseh.
5 Sul confine di Manasse, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: Èfraim, una parte.	5 One portion bordering Manasseh, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Ephraim.
6 Sul confine di Èfraim, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: Ruben, una parte.	6 One portion bordering Ephraim, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Reuben.
7 Sul confine di Ruben, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: Giuda, una parte.	7 One portion bordering Reuben, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Judah.
8 Sul confine di Giuda, dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale, starà la porzione che preleverete come tributo, larga venticinquemila cubiti e lunga come una delle parti dal lato orientale fino al lato occidentale: in mezzo sorgerà il santuario.	8 One portion bordering Judah, from the eastern limit to the western limit, is the portion which you mustset aside, twenty-five thousand cubits wide, and as long as each of the other portions from the eastern limit tothe western limit. The sanctuary wil be in the centre of it.
9 La parte che voi preleverete come tributo per il Signore avrà venticinquemila cubiti di lunghezza per ventimila di larghezza.	9 "The portion which you must set aside for Yahweh must be twenty-five thousand cubits long and tenthousand cubits wide.
10 Ai sacerdoti apparterrà la parte sacra del territorio, prelevata come tributo: venticinquemila cubiti a settentrione e diecimila di larghezza a occidente, diecimila cubiti di larghezza a oriente e venticinquemila cubiti di lunghezza a mezzogiorno. In mezzo sorgerà il santuario del Signore.	10 This sacred portion must belong to the priests, being, on the north side, twenty-five thousand cubits;on the west side ten thousand cubits wide, on the east side ten thousand cubits wide and on the south sidetwenty-five thousand cubits long; the sanctuary of Yahweh wil be in the centre of it.
11 Essa apparterrà ai sacerdoti consacrati, ai figli di Sadoc, che furono fedeli alla mia osservanza e non si traviarono nel traviamento dei figli d’Israele, come si traviarono i leviti.	11 This wil be for the consecrated priests, those of the sons of Zadok who maintained my liturgy and didnot go astray with the straying Israelites, as the Levites went astray.
12 Sarà per loro come una parte sacra prelevata sulla parte consacrata del paese, cosa santissima, a fianco del territorio assegnato ai leviti.	12 And so their portion must be taken out of the especial y holy portion of the land, near the territory ofthe Levites.
13 I leviti, lungo il territorio dei sacerdoti, avranno una parte di venticinquemila cubiti di lunghezza per diecimila di larghezza: tutta la lunghezza sarà di venticinquemila cubiti e tutta la larghezza di diecimila.	13 The territory of the Levites, like the territory of the priests, must be twenty-five thousand cubits longand ten thousand wide -- the whole length being twenty-five thousand and the width ten thousand.
14 Essi non ne potranno vendere né permutare, né potrà essere alienata questa parte migliore del paese, perché è sacra al Signore.	14 It wil be il egal for them to sell or exchange any part of it, and the domain can never be alienated,since it is consecrated to Yahweh.
15 I cinquemila cubiti di lunghezza che restano sui venticinquemila, saranno terreno profano per la città, per abitazioni e dintorni; in mezzo sorgerà la città.	15 As regards the remainder, an area of five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand, this must be forthe common use of the city, for houses and pastures. In the middle wil be the city.
16 Le sue misure saranno le seguenti: il lato settentrionale avrà quattromilacinquecento cubiti, il lato meridionale quattromilacinquecento cubiti, il lato orientale quattromilacinquecento cubiti e il lato occidentale quattromilacinquecento cubiti.	16 These wil be its dimensions: on the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the south side,four thousand five hundred cubits; on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits; on the west side, fourthousand five hundred cubits.
17 I dintorni della città saranno duecentocinquanta cubiti a settentrione, duecentocinquanta a mezzogiorno, duecentocinquanta a oriente e duecentocinquanta a occidente.	17 The pasture land of the city must extend two hundred and fifty cubits to the north, two hundred andfifty to the south, two hundred and fifty to the east, two hundred and fifty to the west.
18 Rimarrà accanto alla parte sacra un terreno lungo diecimila cubiti a oriente e diecimila a occidente, i cui prodotti saranno il cibo per coloro che prestano servizio nella città,	18 One strip, contiguous to the sacred portion, must be left over, consisting of ten thousand cubits toeastward and ten thousand to westward, marching with the sacred portion; this wil bring in a revenue for feedingthe municipal workmen.
19 i quali saranno presi da tutte le tribù d’Israele.	19 And the municipal workmen, drawn from al the tribes of Israel, wil farm it.
20 Tutta la parte prelevata come tributo sarà di venticinquemila cubiti per venticinquemila. Preleverete, come possesso della città, un quarto della zona sacra.	20 The portion must have a total area of twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand. You mustal ocate a square area from the sacred portion to constitute the city.
21 Il resto sarà per il principe: da una parte e dall’altra della zona sacra e del possesso della città, su un fronte di venticinquemila cubiti della zona sacra a oriente, verso il confine orientale, e a occidente, su un fronte di venticinquemila cubiti verso il confine occidentale, parallelamente alle parti, sarà per il principe. La zona sacra e il santuario del tempio rimarranno in mezzo,	21 What is left over wil be for the prince, on either side of the sacred portion and of the property of thecity, marching with the twenty-five thousand cubits to eastward to the eastern frontier, and marching with thetwenty-five thousand cubits to westward to the western frontier -- running paral el with the other portions andbelonging to the prince. In the centre wil be the sacred portion and the sanctuary of the Temple.
22 fra il possesso dei leviti e il possesso della città, e in mezzo a ciò che spetta al principe; quel che si trova tra la frontiera di Giuda e quella di Beniamino sarà del principe.	22 Thus, apart from the property of the Levites and the property of the city which lie in the middle of theprince's portion, everything between the borders of Judah and the borders of Ben- jamin must belong to theprince.
23 Per le altre tribù, dal lato orientale a quello occidentale: Beniamino, una parte.	23 "As regards the rest of the tribes: One portion from the eastern limit to the western limit: Benjamin.
24 Al confine di Beniamino, dal lato orientale a quello occidentale: Simeone, una parte.	24 One portion bordering Benjamin, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Simeon.
25 Al confine di Simeone, dal lato orientale a quello occidentale: Ìssacar, una parte.	25 One portion bordering Simeon, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Issachar.
26 Al confine di Ìssacar, dal lato orientale a quello occidentale: Zàbulon, una parte.	26 One portion bordering Issachar, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Zebulun.
27 Al confine di Zàbulon, dal lato orientale a quello occidentale: Gad, una parte.	27 One portion bordering Zebulun, from the eastern limit to the western limit: Gad.
28 Al confine di Gad, dal lato meridionale verso mezzogiorno, il confine andrà da Tamar alle acque di Merìba di Kades e al torrente che va al Mare Grande.	28 On the southern border of Gad, on the south side, the border will run from Tamar to the Waters ofMeribah in Kadesh, to the Wadi and the Great Sea.
29 Questo è il territorio che voi dividerete a sorte in eredità alle tribù d’Israele e queste le loro parti. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	29 This is how you must distribute the country to the tribes of Israel as their heritage, and these must betheir portions -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
30 Queste saranno le uscite della città. Sul lato settentrionale: quattromilacinquecento cubiti.	30 "Here are the exits from the city. On the north side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to bemeasured off.
31 Le porte della città porteranno i nomi delle tribù d’Israele. Tre porte a settentrione: la porta di Ruben, una; la porta di Giuda, una; la porta di Levi, una.	31 The gates of the city are to be named after the tribes of Israel. Three gates to the north: one the gateof Reuben; one the gate of Judah; one the gate of Levi.
32 Sul lato orientale: quattromilacinquecento cubiti e tre porte: la porta di Giuseppe, una; la porta di Beniamino, una; la porta di Dan, una.	32 On the east side, there will be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofJoseph; one the gate of Benjamin; one the gate of Dan.
33 Sul lato meridionale: quattromilacinquecento cubiti e tre porte: la porta di Simeone, una; la porta di Ìssacar, una; la porta di Zàbulon, una.	33 On the south side, four thousand five hundred cubits are to be measured off, and there are to bethree gates: one the gate of Simeon; one the gate of Issachar; one the gate of Zebulun.
34 Sul lato occidentale: quattromilacinquecento cubiti e tre porte: la porta di Gad, una; la porta di Aser, una; la porta di Nèftali, una.	34 On the west side, there wil be four thousand five hundred cubits and three gates: one the gate ofGad; one the gate of Asher; one the gate of Naphtali.
35 Perimetro totale: diciottomila cubiti. La città si chiamerà da quel giorno in poi: “Là è il Signore”».	35 Total perimeter: eighteen thousand cubits. "The name of the city in future must be: Yahweh-is-there."'
