2 Signore, ascolta la mia voce. Siano i tuoi orecchi attenti alla voce della mia preghiera.	2 Lord, hear my cry! May your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3 Se consideri le colpe, Signore, Signore, chi potrà sussistere?	3 If you, LORD, mark our sins, Lord, who can stand?
4 Ma presso di te è il perdono: e avremo il tuo timore.	4 But with you is forgiveness and so you are revered.
5 Io spero nel Signore, l'anima mia spera nella sua parola.	5 I wait with longing for the LORD, my soul waits for his word.
6 L'anima mia attende il Signore più che le sentinelle l'aurora.	6 My soul looks for the Lord more than sentinels for daybreak. More than sentinels for daybreak,
7 Israele attenda il Signore, perché presso il Signore è la misericordia e grande presso di lui la redenzione.	7 let Israel look for the LORD, For with the LORD is kindness, with him is full redemption,
