1 Per il capocoro. Su makhalar. Istruttivo. Di David.	1 To the choirmaster: according to Mahalath. A Maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none that does good.
2 Dice lo stolto nel suo cuore: «Non c’è Dio!» Nella corruzione, nell’abominio hanno commesso iniquità; non c’è chi faccia il bene.	2 God looks down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there are any that are wise, that seek after God.
3 Scruta Dio dal cielo sui figli dell’uomo per vedere se ci sia un saggio, che cerchi Dio.	3 They have all fallen away; they are all alike depraved; there is none that does good, no, not one.
4 Tutti si sono allontanati, tutti quanti si sono corrotti, non c’è chi faccia il bene, non ce n’è neppure uno.	4 Have those who work evil no understanding, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon God?
5 Non comprendono coloro che operano l’iniquità, quelli che divorano il mio popolo? Divorano il pane e non invocano Dio?	5 There they are, in great terror, in terror such as has not been! For God will scatter the bones of the ungodly; they will be put to shame, for God has rejected them.
6 D’un tratto il timore li colse dove non c’era timore poiché Dio disperse le ossa di chi ti assedia, ti sei vergognato poiché Dio li respinse.	6 O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice and Israel be glad.
7 Venissero da Sion le salvezze di Israele!Quando Dio restaura le sorti del suo popolo, esulta Giacobbe, si allieta Israele.
