1 Del maestro de coro. Según la... de Gat. Salmo. De David.	1 [For the choirmaster On the . . . of Gath Psalm Of David] Yahweh our Lord, how majestic is your namethroughout the world! Whoever keeps singing of your majesty higher than the heavens,
2 ¡Oh Yahveh, Señor nuestro, qué glorioso tu nombre por toda la tierra! Tú que exaltaste tu majestad sobre los cielos,	2 even through the mouths of children, or of babes in arms, you make him a fortress, firm against yourfoes, to subdue the enemy and the rebel.
3 en boca de los niños, los que aún maman, dispones baluarte frente a tus adversarios, para acabar con enemigos y rebeldes.	3 I look up at your heavens, shaped by your fingers, at the moon and the stars you set firm-
4 Al ver tu cielo, hechura de tus dedos, la luna y las estrellas, que fijaste tú,	4 what are human beings that you spare a thought for them, or the child of Adam that you care for him?
5 ¿qué es el hombre para que de él te acuerdes, el hijo de Adán para que de él te cuides?	5 Yet you have made him little less than a god, you have crowned him with glory and beauty,
6 Apenas inferior a un dios le hiciste, coronándole de gloria y de esplendor;	6 made him lord of the works of your hands, put al things under his feet,
7 le hiciste señor de las obras de tus manos, todo fue puesto por ti bajo sus pies:	7 sheep and cattle, all of them, and even the wild beasts,
8 ovejas y bueyes, todos juntos, y aun las bestias del campo,	8 birds in the sky, fish in the sea, when he makes his way across the ocean.
9 y las aves del cielo, y los peces del mar, que surcan las sendas de las aguas.	9 Yahweh our Lord, how majestic your name throughout the world!
10 ¡Oh Yahveh, Señor nuestro, qué glorioso tu nombre por toda la tierra!
