BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Del maestro de coro. Cántico. Salmo. Aclamad a Dios, la tierra toda,	1 [For the choirmaster Song Psalm] Acclaim God, al the earth,
2 salmodiad a la gloria de su nombre, rendidle el honor de su alabanza,	2 sing psalms to the glory of his name, glorify him with your praises,
3 decid a Dios: ¡Qué terribles tus obras! Por la grandeza de tu fuerza, tus enemigos vienen a adularte;	3 say to God, 'How awesome you are! 'Your achievements are the measure of your power, yourenemies woo your favour,
4 toda la tierra se postra ante ti, y salmodia para ti, a tu nombre salmodia. Pausa.	4 al the earth bows down before you, sings psalms to you, sings psalms to your name.'Pause
5 Venid y ved las obras de Dios, temible en sus gestas por los hijos de Adán:	5 Come and see the marvels of God, his awesome deeds for the children of Adam:
6 él convirtió el mar en tierra firme, el río fue cruzado a pie. Allí, nuestra alegría en él,	6 he changed the sea into dry land, they crossed the river on foot. So let us rejoice in him,
7 que por su poder domina para siempre. Sus ojos vigilan las naciones, no se alcen los rebeldes contra él. Pausa.	7 who rules for ever by his power; his eyes keep watch on the nations to forestal rebel ion againsthim.Pause
8 Pueblos, bendecid a nuestro Dios, haced que se oiga la voz de su alabanza,	8 Nations, bless our God, let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 él, que devuelve nuestra alma a la vida, y no deja que vacilen nuestros pies.	9 he brings us to life and keeps our feet from stumbling.
10 Tú nos probaste, oh Dios, nos purgaste, cual se purga la plata;	10 God, you have put us to the test, refined us like silver,
11 nos prendiste en la red, pusiste una correa a nuestros lomos,	11 let us fal into the net; you have put a heavy strain on our backs,
12 dejaste que un cualquiera a nuestra cabeza cabalgara, por el fuego y el agua atravesamos; mas luego nos sacaste para cobrar aliento.	12 let men ride over our heads; but now the ordeal by fire and water is over, you have led us out tobreathe again.
13 Con holocaustos entraré en tu Casa, te cumpliré mis votos,	13 I bring burnt offerings to your house, I fulfil to you my vows,
14 los que abrieron mis labios, los que en la angustia pronunció mi boca.	14 the vows that rose to my lips, that I pronounced when I was in trouble.
15 Te ofreceré pingües holocaustos, con el sahumerio de carneros, sacrificaré bueyes y cabritos. Pausa.	15 I wil offer you rich burnt offerings, with the smoke of burning rams. I wil sacrifice to you bul ocks andgoats.Pause
16 Venid a oír y os contaré, vosotros todos los que teméis a Dios, lo que él ha hecho por mí.	16 Come and listen, all who fear God, while I tel what he has done for me.
17 A él gritó mi boca, la alabanza ya en mi lengua.	17 To him I cried aloud, high praise was on my tongue.
18 Si yo en mi corazón hubiera visto iniquidad, el Señor no me habría escuchado.	18 Had I been aware of guilt in my heart, the Lord would not have listened,
19 Pero Dios me ha escuchado, atento a la voz de mi oración.	19 but in fact God did listen, attentive to the sound of my prayer.
20 ¡Bendito sea Dios, que no ha rechazado mi oración ni su amor me ha retirado!	20 Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer, nor his own faithful love from me.
