2 Dir gebührt Lobgesang, Gott, auf dem Zion, dir erfüllt man Gelübde.	2 for you answer prayer. All humanity must come to you
3 Du erhörst die Gebete. Alle Menschen kommen zu dir	3 with its sinful deeds. Our faults overwhelm us, but you blot them out.
4 unter der Last ihrer Sünden. Unsere Schuld ist zu groß für uns, du wirst sie vergeben.	4 How blessed those whom you choose and invite to dwell in your courts. We shal be filled with thegood things of your house, of your holy temple.
5 Wohl denen, die du erwählst und in deine Nähe holst, die in den Vorhöfen deines Heiligtums wohnen. Wir wollen uns am Gut deines Hauses sättigen, am Gut deines Tempels.	5 You respond to us with the marvels of your saving justice, God our Saviour, hope of the whole wideworld, even the distant islands.
6 Du vollbringst erstaunliche Taten, erhörst uns in Treue, du Gott unsres Heiles, du Zuversicht aller Enden der Erde und der fernsten Gestade.	6 By your strength you hold the mountains steady, being clothed in power,
7 Du gründest die Berge in deiner Kraft, du gürtest dich mit Stärke.	7 you calm the turmoil of the seas, the turmoil of their waves. The nations are in uproar, in panic thosewho live at the ends of the earth;
8 Du stillst das Brausen der Meere, das Brausen ihrer Wogen, das Tosen der Völker.	8 your miracles bring shouts of joy to the gateways of morning and evening.
9 Alle, die an den Enden der Erde wohnen, erschauern vor deinen Zeichen; Ost und West erfüllst du mit Jubel.	9 You visit the earth and make it fruitful, you fill it with riches; the river of God brims over with water, youprovide the grain. To that end
10 Du sorgst für das Land und tränkst es; du überschüttest es mit Reichtum. Der Bach Gottes ist reichlich gefüllt, du schaffst ihnen Korn; so ordnest du alles.	10 you water its furrows abundantly, level its ridges, soften it with showers and bless its shoots.
11 Du tränkst die Furchen, ebnest die Schollen, machst sie weich durch Regen, segnest ihre Gewächse.	11 You crown the year with your generosity, richness seeps from your tracks,
12 Du krönst das Jahr mit deiner Güte, deinen Spuren folgt Überfluss.	12 the pastures of the desert grow moist, the hillsides are wrapped in joy,
13 In der Steppe prangen die Auen, die Höhen umgürten sich mit Jubel.	13 the meadows are covered with flocks, the val eys clothed with wheat; they shout and sing for joy.
14 Die Weiden schmücken sich mit Herden, die Täler hüllen sich in Korn. Sie jauchzen und singen.
