Isaia 54

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Canta inni, o sterile che non partorisci, canta inni di lode e di gioia, tu che non hai nati, perchè i figlioli dell'abbandonata saran più numerosi di quelli di colei che ha marito — dice il Signore. —	1 Shout for joy, barren one who has borne no children! Break into cries and shouts of joy, you who werenever in labour! For the children of the forsaken one are more in number than the children of the wedded wife,says Yahweh.
2 Allargalo spazio della tua tenda, distendi senza risparmio i teli dei tuoi padiglioni, allunga le tue funi, rendi più solidi i tuoi piuoli,	2 Widen the space of your tent, extend the curtains of your home, do not hold back! Lengthen your ropes,make your tent-pegs firm,
3 perchè ti allargherai a destra e a sinistra, la tua stirpe dominerà le nazioni e abiterà le città deserte.	3 for you wil burst out to right and to left, your race wil dispossess the nations and repopulate desertedtowns.
4 Non temere, perchè tu non sarai più confusa, non avrai più da arrossire, nè da vergognarti, perchè dimenticherai l'onta di tua adolescenza, e non ti ricorderai più dell'ignominia di tua vedovanza;	4 Do not fear, you wil not be put to shame again, do not worry, you will not be disgraced again; for youwil forget the shame of your youth and no longer remember the dishonour of your widowhood.
5 perchè sarà tuo signore il tuo creatore: il suo nome è: Signore degli eserciti, il tuo redentore è il Santo d'Israele, e sarà chiamato: Dio di tutta la terra,	5 For your Creator is your husband, Yahweh Sabaoth is his name, the Holy One of Israel is yourredeemer, he is cal ed God of the whole world.
6 perchè come donna abbandonata ed afflitta di spirito il Signore ti ha chiamata, come sposa ripudiata nei verdi anni, dice il tuo Dio.	6 Yes, Yahweh has cal ed you back like a forsaken, grief-stricken wife, like the repudiated wife of hisyouth, says your God.
7 Per un momento, per poco tempo ti ho abbandonata e ti accoglierò con grandi misericordie.	7 I did forsake you for a brief moment, but in great compassion I shal take you back.
8 Nel momento del mio furore nascosi a te per un istante la mia faccia, ma con eterna misericordia, ho avuto compassione di te — dice il Signore tuo redentore.	8 In a flood of anger, for a moment I hid my face from you. But in everlasting love I have taken pity onyou, says Yahweh, your redeemer.
9 Per me sarà come ai tempi di Noè, a cui giurai che le acque di Noè non le avrei più mandate sulla terra; così ho giurato di non irritarmi con te, di non più rimproverarti.	9 For me it wil be as in the days of Noah when I swore that Noah's waters should never flood the worldagain. So now I swear never to be angry with you and never to rebuke you again.
10 I monti crolleranno, le colline saranno sconvolte, ma non si ritirerà da te la mia misericordia, e la mia alleanza di paee sarà immobile — dice chi ha compassione di te, il Signore.	10 For the mountains may go away and the hil s may totter, but my faithful love wil never leave you, mycovenant of peace will never totter, says Yahweh who takes pity on you.
11 Poverina, sbattuta dalla tempesta, priva d'ogni consolazione, ecco io metterò al loro posto le tue pietre, e ti fonderò sugli zaffiri;	11 Unhappy creature, storm-tossed, unpitied, look, I shal lay your stones on agates and your foundationson sapphires.
12 farò di iaspide i tuoi baluardi, e le tue porte di pietre scolpite, e tutta la tua cinta di pietre preziose.	12 I shal make your battlements rubies, your gateways firestone and your entire wal precious stones.
13 Tutti i tuoi figli saranno istruiti dal Signore, i tuoi figli avranno abbondanza di pace.	13 Al your children wil be taught by Yahweh and great wil be your children's prosperity.
14 E tu sarai fondata nella giustizia. Lungi da te la calunnia, chè non avrai da temere, e lo spavento, perchè non potrà avvicinarsi a te.	14 In saving justice you will be made firm, free from oppression: you will have nothing to fear; free fromterror: it wil not approach you.
15 Ecco, verrà il forestiero che non era con me, chi era una volta straniero si unirà teco.	15 Should anyone attack you, that wil not be my doing, and whoever does attack you, for your sake willfal .
16 Ecco, io ho creato il fabbro che soffia sui carboni ardenti per formare uno strumento pel suo lavoro, ed ho creato l'uccisore per sterminare.	16 I created the smith who blows on the charcoal-fire to produce a weapon for his use; I also created thedestroyer to ruin it.
17 Ogni arma preparata contro di te sarà senza effetto, condannerai ogni lingua che ti resisterà in giudizio. Questa è l'eredità dei servi del Signore, la loro giustizia dinnanzi a me — dice il Signore.	17 No weapon forged against you wil succeed. Any voice raised against you in court you will refute.Such is the lot of the servants of Yahweh, the saving justice I assure them, declares Yahweh.
