Ecco che il Signore, montato sopra leggera nuvoletta, entrerà in Egitto: dinanzi a lui crolleranno gli idoli d'Egitto, e il cuore dell'Egitto si struggerà nel suo petto. | 1 Proclamation about Egypt: Look! Yahweh, riding a swift cloud, is coming to Egypt. The false gods ofEgypt totter before him and Egypt's heart quails within her. |
2 Ed io scaglierò gli Egiziani contro gli Egiziani, e combatteranno, fratello contro fratello, amico contro amico, città contro città, regno contro regno. | 2 I shal stir up Egypt against Egypt, they wil fight one another, brother against brother, friend againstfriend, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. |
3 E l'Egitto resterà senza spirito nelle sue viscere, ed io distruggerò il suo consiglio. 19 In quel giorno vi sarà l'altare del Signore nel mezzo della terra d'Egitto. E il monumento del Signore ai suoi confini | 19 That day there wil be an altar dedicated to Yahweh in the centre of Egypt and, close to the frontier, apil ar dedicated to Yahweh, |
20 sarà segno e testimonianza pel Signore degli eserciti nella terra d'Egitto; alzeranno la voce al Signore contro l'oppressore, ed Egli manderà loro un salvatore, un difensore a liberarli. | 20 and this will be a sign and a witness to Yahweh Sabaoth in Egypt. When they cry to Yahweh for helpbecause of oppressors, he wil send them a Saviour and leader to deliver them. |
21 E il Signore sarà conosciuto dall'Egitto, e gli Egiziani in quel giorno conosceranno il Signore, e l'onoreranno con sacrifizi e offerte, faran dei voti al Signore e li adempiranno, | 21 Yahweh will reveal himself to Egypt, and the Egyptians wil acknowledge Yahweh that day and wiloffer sacrifices and cereal offerings, and wil make vows to Yahweh and perform them. |
22 e il Signore percuoterà l'Egitto, farà la piaga e la risanerà. E torneranno al Signore, il quale si placherà e li sanerà. | 22 And if Yahweh strikes Egypt, having struck he wil heal, and they wil turn to Yahweh who wil heartheir prayers and heal them. |
23 In quel giorno vi sarà una via tra l'Egitto e l'Assiria: l'Assiro andrà in Egitto, l'Egiziano andrà in Assiria, e serviranno (il Signore) gli Egiziani e gli Assiri. | 23 That day there wil be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. Assyria will have access to Egypt and Egypthave access to Assyria. Egypt wil serve with Assyria. |
24 In quel giorno Israele s'unirà, terzo, all'Egitto e all'Assiria, come benedizione in mezzo alla terra | 24 That day Israel will make a third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing at the centre of the world, |
25 alla quale il Signore ha data la benedizione dicendo: « Benedetto sia il mio popolo d'Egitto, e l'Assiro, opera delle mie mani, e Israele, mia eredità ». | 25 and Yahweh Sabaoth wil bless them in the words, 'Blessed be my people Egypt, Assyria my creation,and Israel my heritage.' |
