1 (Salmo graduale). Alzo gli occhi verso i monti, donde verrà a me l'aiuto.	1 A Canticle in steps. I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains; from thence help will come to me.
2 Il mio aiuto vien dal Signore che fece il cielo e la terra.	2 My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 Egìi non permetterà che vacilli il tuo piede: chè non sonnecchia il tuo custode.	3 May he not allow your foot to be moved, and may he not slumber, who guards you.
4 No: non sonnecchia nè dorme il custode d'Israele.	4 Behold, he who guards Israel will neither sleep, nor slumber.
5 Il Signore ti custodisce, il Signore è tua difesa, Egli sta alla tua mano destra.	5 The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your protection, above your right hand.
6 Il giorno non ti colpirà il sole, nè la luna di notte.	6 The sun will not burn you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Il Signore ti guarda da ogni male, custodisca il Signore l'anima tua.	7 The Lord guards you from all evil. May the Lord guard your soul.
8 Il Signore ti protegga all'entrare e all'uscire, ora e per sempre.	8 May the Lord guard your entrance and your exit, from this time forward and even forever.
