1 (Salmo graduale). Alzo gli occhi verso i monti, donde verrà a me l'aiuto.	1 A song of ascents. The LORD answered me when I called in my distress:
2 Il mio aiuto vien dal Signore che fece il cielo e la terra.	2 LORD, deliver me from lying lips, from treacherous tongues.
3 Egìi non permetterà che vacilli il tuo piede: chè non sonnecchia il tuo custode.	3 What will the Lord inflict on you, O treacherous tongue, and what more besides?
4 No: non sonnecchia nè dorme il custode d'Israele.	4 A warrior's sharpened arrows and fiery coals of brush wood!
5 Il Signore ti custodisce, il Signore è tua difesa, Egli sta alla tua mano destra.	5 Alas, I was an alien in Meshech, I lived near the tents of Kedar!
