1 Farai inoltre un altare di legno di setim per bruciarvi profumi,	1 'You will make an altar on which to burn incense; you wil make it of acacia wood,
2 e questo sarà quadrato dovendo avere un cubito di lunghezza ed uno di larghezza, in altezza dovrà essere due cubiti, e spunteranno da esso i suoi corni.	2 one cubit long, and one cubit wide -- it must be square -- and two cubits high; its horns must be of apiece with it.
3 Lo rivestirai d'oro finissimo, tanto la sua graticola, quanto i suoi lati all'intorno e i suoi corni. E gli farai una cornice d'oro tutt'intorno,	3 You will overlay its top, its sides all round and its horns with pure gold and make a gold moulding to goal round.
4 e due anelli d'oro sotto la cornice, ai due lati, da farvi passare le stanghe per portare l'altare.	4 You will make two gold rings for it below the moulding on its two opposite sides, to take the shaftsused for carrying it.
5 Ed anche le stanghe le farai di legno di setim e le ricoprirai d'oro.	5 You will make the shafts of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
6 E collocherai l'altare davanti al velo che pende dinanzi all'arca della testimonianza, davanti al propiziatorio che copre l'arca della testimonianza, dove io ti parlerò.	6 'You will put it in front of the curtain by the ark of Testimony, in front of the mercy-seat which is on theTestimony, where I shal meet you.
7 E Aronne brucerà sopra di esso un profumo di soave fragranza la mattina, quando accomoderà le lampade,	7 On it Aaron wil burn fragrant incense each morning; when he trims the lamps, he will burn incense onit;
8 e la sera, quando le rimetterà, brucerà un profumo davanti al Signore per tutte le vostre generazioni.	8 and when Aaron puts back the lamps at twilight, he will burn incense on it, incense perpetual y beforeYahweh for all your generations to come.
9 Sopra quest'altare non offrirete altro profumo, nè oblazione, nè vittima, nè vi farete libazioni.	9 You will not offer unauthorised incense, or burnt offering, or cereal offering on it, and you will not pourany libation over it.
10 E Aronne, una volta l'anno, col sangue offerto pel peccato, farà l'espiazione sui corni dell'altare, sopra di esso farà la propiziazione in tutte le vostre generazioni, e sarà cosa santissima davanti al Signore ».	10 Once a year, Aaron wil perform the rite of expiation on the horns of the altar; once a year, on the Dayof Expiation, with the blood of the sacrifice for sin, he wil make expiation for himself, for al your generations tocome. It is especial y holy for Yahweh.'
11 Il Signore parlò a Mosè dicendogli;	11 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,
12 « Quando avrai fatto il censimento dei figli d'Israele, tutti quelli censiti daranno al Signore il prezzo del riscatto per la loro vita, e non verrà piaga sopra di essi quando saranno stati numerati.	12 'When you count the Israelites by census, each one of them must pay Yahweh a ransom for his life,to avoid any incidence of plague among them while you are holding the census.
13 Ecco quanto deve dare ciascuno di quelli compresi nel censimento: un mezzo siclo, di quelli del tempio, che contengono venti oboli, la metà di tal siclo sarà offerta al Signore,	13 Everyone subject to the census wil pay half a shekel, reckoning by the sanctuary shekel: twentygerah to the shekel. This half-shekel will be set aside for Yahweh.
14 e tutti quelli censiti daran questa contribuzione passati i venti anni.	14 Everyone subject to the census, that is to say of twenty years and over, will pay the sum set aside forYahweh.
15 Il ricco non darà più e il povero non darà meno d'un mezzo siclo.	15 The rich man must not give more, nor the poor man less, than half a shekel when he pays the sumset aside for Yahweh in ransom for your lives.
16 Preso poi questo danaro offerto dai figli d'Israele, lo impiegherai a servizio del Tabernacolo della testimonianza, affinchè sia un ricordo di essi davanti al Signore, ed egli sia propizio alle loro anime ».	16 You wil take the ransom money of the Israelites and apply it to the service of the Tent of Meeting, forit to be a reminder of the Israelites before Yahweh, as the ransom for your lives.'
17 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e gli disse:	17 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,
18 « Farai pure una conca di rame con la sua base, per le abluzioni, e la porrai tra il Tabernacolo della testimonianza e l'altare. E messavi l'acqua,	18 'You wil also make a bronze basin on its bronze stand, for washing. You wil put it between the Tentof Meeting and the altar and put water in it,
19 Aronne e i suoi figli vi si laveranno le mani e i piedi,	19 in which Aaron and his sons wil wash their hands and feet.
20 prima di entrare nel Tabernacolo della testimonianza e di accostarsi all'altare per offrirvi i profumi al Signore.	20 Whenever they are to enter the Tent of Meeting, they wil wash, to avoid incurring death; andwhenever they approach the altar for their service, to burn an offering for Yahweh,
21 Per non morire si laveranno; e questa sarà una legge perpetua per Aronne e per i discendenti che gli succederanno ».	21 they wil wash their hands and feet, to avoid incurring death. This is a perpetual decree for him andhis descendants for all their generations to come.'
22 E il Signore parlò a Mosè	22 Yahweh spoke further to Moses and said,
23 e gli disse: « Prenditi degli aromi: di mirra vergine e scelta, cinquecento sicli; di cinnamomo la metà, cioè duecento cinquanta sicli; di canna aromatica pure duecentocinquanta sicli,	23 'Take the finest spices: five hundred shekels of fresh myrrh, half as much (two hundred and fiftyshekels) of fragrant cinnamon, two hundred and fifty shekels of scented reed,
24 e cinquecento sicli di cassia, a peso del santuario, più un hin d'olio di oliva.	24 five hundred shekels (reckoning by the sanctuary shekel) of cassia, and one hin of olive oil.
25 E ne farai un olio santo per l'unzione, un unguento composto secondo l'arte del profumiere.	25 You wil make this into a holy anointing oil, such a blend as the perfumer might make; this wil be aholy anointing oil.
26 E con esso ungerai il Tabernacolo della testimonianza, l'arca del testamento,	26 With it you wil anoint the Tent of Meeting and the ark of the Testimony,
27 1a tavola coi suoi arredi, il candelabro e i suoi utensili, l'altare dei profumi	27 the table and al its accessories, the lamp-stand and its accessories, the altar of incense,
28 e quello degli olocausti, e tutta la suppellettile che serve al loro uso.	28 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories, and the basin with its stand,
29 Consacrerai così queste cose, e saranno santissime, e chiunque le toccherà sarà santificato.	29 consecrating them, so that they wil be especial y holy and whatever touches them wil become holy.
30 Ungerai Aronne e i suoi figli e li consacrerai, affinchè mi esercitino il sacerdozio.	30 You wil also anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to be priests in my service.
31 E ai figli d'Israele dirai: Quest'olio di unzione sarà consacrato a me nelle vostre generazioni:	31 You wil then speak to the Israelites and say, "This anointing oil wil be holy for you for al yourgenerations to come.
32 non sarà sparso sulla carne dell'uomo, non ne farete un altro di simile composizione, perchè è consacrato e deve essere per voi santo.	32 It must not be used for anointing the human body, nor may you make any of the same mixture. It is aholy thing; you wil regard it as holy.
33 Chi ne comporrà uno simile, e ne darà ad un estraneo sarà sterminato di mezzo al suo popolo ».	33 Anyone who makes up the same oil or uses it on an unauthorised person wil be outlawed from hispeople." '
34 E il Signore disse a Mosè: « Prendi degli aromi: statte, onice, garbano di grato odore e incenso lucidissimo, in dosi uguali,	34 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Take sweet spices: storax, onycha, galbanum, sweet spices and purefrankincense in equal parts,
35 e ne farai un profumo composto secondo l'arte del profumiere, manipolato con diligenza, puro e degnissimo d'essere offerto.	35 and compound an incense, such a blend as the perfumer might make, salted, pure, and holy.
36 Quando poi avrai ridotto il tutto in minutissima polvere, ne porrai dinanzi al Tabernacolo della testimonianza dove io ti apparirò. Tal profumo sarà per voi una cosa santissima,	36 You wil grind some of this up very fine and put it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting,where I shal meet you. You wil regard it as especial y holy.
37 e non ne farete per vostro uso una composizione somigliante, perchè è cosa consacrata al Signore.	37 You may not make any incense of similar composition for your own use. You wil regard it as holy,reserved for Yahweh Anyone who makes up the same thing to use as perfume will be outlawed from his people.'
38 Chiunque ne farà uno simile per goderne l'odore, perirà di mezzo al suo popolo ».
