BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Allora mi ricondusse alla porta della casa ed ecco che un'acqua sgorgava di sotto alla soglia della casa verso oriente; perchè la facciata della casa prospettava ad oriente, e l'acqua discendeva pel lato destro del tempio a mezzogiorno dell'altare.	1 He brought me back to the entrance of the Temple, where a stream flowed eastwards from under theTemple threshold, for the Temple faced east. The water flowed from under the right side of the Temple, south ofthe altar.
2 E mi fece uscire per la via della porta settentrionale, e girare per la via esterna, fino alla porta esteriore del lato prospettante ad oriente, ed ecco l'acqua sboccando usciva dalla parte destra.	2 He took me out by the north gate and led me right round outside as far as the outer east gate where the water flowed out on the right-hand side.
3 Uscito che fu quell'uomo traendo verso oriente e tenendo la corda in mano, misurò mille cubiti e mi fece passare per l'acqua che arrivava alla caviglia.	3 The man went off to the east holding his measuring line and measured off a thousand cubits; he thenmade me wade across the stream; the water reached my ankles.
4 Indi misurò altri mille cubiti e mi fece ripassare per l'acqua, e arrivava al ginocchio.	4 He measured off another thousand and made me wade across the stream again; the water reachedmy knees. He measured off another thousand and made me wade across the stream again; the water reachedmy waist.
5 Misurò di nuovo altri mille cubiti, e mi fece passare ancora per l'acqua, e arrivava fino alle reni. Finalmente, misurati ancora mille cubiti, s'era formato un torrente ch'io non potei più passare, perchè l'acqua ingrossata aveva formato un torrente profondo che non si poteva più guadare.	5 He measured off another thousand; it was now a river which I could not cross; the stream had swol enand was now deep water, a river impossible to cross.
6 Allora mi disse: «Figlio dell'uomo, ora hai visto». Indi mi fece indietreggiare e mi rivolse verso la riva del torrente.	6 He then said, 'Do you see, son of man?' He then took me and brought me back to the bank on theriver.
7 E voltato che mi fui, ecco che vedo sulla riva del torrente una gran quantità di piante da entrambe le sponde.	7 Now, when I reached it, I saw an enormous number of trees on each bank of the river.
8 E disse a me: «Queste acque che escono verso le dune sabbiose di oriente e scendono ai piani del deserto, arriveranno al Mare ove andranno a sboccare e le acque ne saranno risanate.	8 He said, 'This water flows east down to the Arabah and to the sea; and flowing into the sea it makesits waters wholesome.
9 E qualunque animale vivente che si muove, dovunque giungerà il torrente avrà vita, e vi saranno pesci in grande quantità dopo che queste acque saranno arrivate, e tutto sarà risanato e vivificato dove sarà giunto il torrente.	9 Wherever the river flows, all living creatures teeming in it wil live. Fish wil be very plentiful, forwherever the water goes it brings health, and life teems wherever the river flows.
10 E presso queste acque si fermeranno i pescatori, da Engaddi fino a Engallim sarà tutto reti messe ad asciugare, i suoi pesci saranno di specie svariatissime, come i pesci del grande mare e in moltitudine stragrande.	10 There will be fishermen on its banks. Fishing nets will be spread from En-Gedi to En-Eglaim. Thespecies of fish wil be the same as the fish of the Great Sea.
11 Ma lungo le sponde, dove fan palude, le acque non saranno risanate, perchè rimarranno per le saline.	11 The marshes and lagoons, however, wil not become wholesome, but wil remain salt.
12 Sull'orlo del torrente spunterà nelle sue ripe da ambe le parti ogni specie di albero fruttifero, che non perderà mai le foglie e non mancherà mai di frutta; ogni mese metterà fuori i primaticci, perchè le sue acque irrigatrici usciranno dal santuario e farà frutti mangerecci e foglie medicinali».	12 Along the river, on either bank, will grow every kind of fruit tree with leaves that never wither and fruitthat never fails; they wil bear new fruit every month, because this water comes from the sanctuary. And theirfruit wil be good to eat and the leaves medicinal.'
13 Così dice il Signore Dio: «Questo è il limite dentro cui possederete il territorio nelle dodici tribù di Israele, perchè Giuseppe ha una porzione doppia.	13 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "This wil be the territory which you must distribute among the twelvetribes of Israel, with two portions for Joseph.
14 Gli uni come gli altri tutti egualmente prenderete possesso di questa terra sopra la quale alzai già la mano a giuramento che l'avrei data ai vostri padri, e questo territorio riviene a voi in possessione.	14 You wil each have a fair share of it, since I swore to your fathers that I would give it to them, and thiscountry now falls to you as your heritage.
15 Questo dunque è il confine del territorio; dal lato settentrionale partendo dal Mare Grande per Etalon raggiungendo Sedada,	15 These wil be the frontiers of the country. On the north, from the Great Sea, the road from Hethlon tothe Pass of Hamath, Zedad,
16 Emat, Berota, Sabarim che è tra i due confini di Damasco e di Emat, casa di Ticon che è presso alla frontiera di Auran.	16 Berothah, Sibraim lying between the territories of Damascus and Hamath, to Hazer-ha-Tikon on theborders of Hauran;
17 Sarà dunque il confine del mare per l'ingresso di Enon, frontiera di Damasco, tutto lungo il settentrione e la frontiera di Emat formante la linea di settentrione.	17 the frontier wil extend from the sea to Hazer-Enon, with the territory of Damascus and the territory ofHamath to the north; that wil be the northern frontier.
18 Dal lato orientale passerà fra Auran e quel di Damasco, fra Galaad e la terra d'Israele, il Giordano segnandone il confine fino al mare orientale, avrete così il limite del lato di oriente.	18 On the east, the Jordan wil serve as frontier between Hauran and Damascus, between Gilead andIsrael, down to the Eastern Sea as far as Tamar; that wil be the eastern frontier.
19 Il lato australe a mezzogiorno, da Tamar fino alle acque della Contraddizione di Cades e la linea del Torrente fino al Mare Grande; questo è il lato australe a mezzogiorno.	19 On the south, from Tamar southward to the Waters of Meribah in Kadesh, to the Wadi and the GreatSea; that wil be the southern frontier.
20 E il lato occidentale, il Mare Grande preso per confine in linea retta fino a raggiungere Emat: quest'è il lato occidentale.	20 And to the west, the Great Sea wil serve as frontier up to the point opposite the Pass of Hamath; thatwil be the western frontier.
21 Voi vi scompartirete questo territorio per le tribù d'Israele,	21 You must distribute this country among yourselves, among the tribes of Israel.
22 e lo tirerete a sorte in possessione vostra e degli stranieri che si saranno aggiunti a voi e avranno una discendenza di figli in mezzo a voi e saranno tenuti da voi come conterranei fra i figli d'Israele; divideranno con voi la possessione in mezzo alle tribù d'Israele.	22 You must distribute it as a heritage for yourselves and the aliens settled among you who havefathered children among you, since you must treat them as citizens of Israel. They must draw lots for theirheritage with you, among the tribes of Israel.
23 In qualunque tribù ove si trovi un forestiere gli darete la sua parte, dice il Signore Dio.	23 You wil give the alien his heritage in the tribe where he has settled -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
