1 - Salmo di David. Quando fuggiva via da Assalonne suo figlio.	1 A psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom.
2 O Signore, come si son moltiplicati i miei persecutori, quanti insorgono contro di me!	2 How many are my foes, LORD! How many rise against me!
3 molti [già] dicon di me:«Non v'è salvezza per lui presso il suo Dio!».	3 How many say of me, "God will not save that one." Selah
4 Ma tu, O Signore, sei il mio difensore, tu la mia gloria, colui che rialza il mio capo.	4 But you, LORD, are a shield around me; my glory, you keep my head high.
5 Con la mia voce io grido al Signore, ed e' m'ascolta dal suo santo monte.	5 Whenever I cried out to the LORD, I was answered from the holy mountain. Selah
6 Mi coricai e dormii, ed [ecco] mi son levato, perché il Signor mi sostiene.	6 Whenever I lay down and slept, the LORD preserved me to rise again.
7 Non temo le migliaia di genteche mi s'accampan d'intorno! Lèvati su, o Signore! salvami, o mio Dio!	7 I do not fear, then, thousands of people arrayed against me on every side.
8 Chè tu percuoti tutti quelli che m'avversan senza motivo, e i denti de' peccatori tu spezzi.	8 Arise, LORD! Save me, my God! You will shatter the jaws of all my foes; you will break the teeth of the wicked.
9 Dal Signore vien la salvezza! E sul popolo suo [si posi] la tua benedizione!	9 Safety comes from the LORD! Your blessing for your people! Selah
