1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, nel deserto del Sinai, nella tenda del convegno, il primo giorno del secondo mese, il secondo anno dalla loro uscita dalla terra d’Egitto, e disse:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the covenant, on the first day of the second month, in the year after their departure from Egypt, saying:
2 «Fate il computo di tutta la comunità degli Israeliti, secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di tutti i maschi, testa per testa,	2 “Take a total of the entire assembly of the sons of Israel, by their families and houses, and the names of each one, of whomever is of the male sex,
3 dai vent’anni in su, quanti in Israele possono andare in guerra; tu e Aronne li censirete, schiera per schiera.	3 from twenty years and above, of all the able-bodied men out of Israel, and you shall number them by their companies, you and Aaron.
4 Sarà con voi un uomo per tribù, un uomo che sia capo del casato dei suoi padri.	4 And there shall be with you the leaders of the tribes, as well as of the houses, in their kinships,
5 Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che vi assisteranno. Per Ruben: Elisùr, figlio di Sedeùr;	5 the names of whom are these: of Ruben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;
6 per Simeone: Selumièl, figlio di Surisaddài;	6 of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;
7 per Giuda: Nacson, figlio di Amminadàb;	7 of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;
8 per Ìssacar: Netanèl, figlio di Suar;	8 of Issachar, Nathanael the son of Zuar;
9 per Zàbulon: Eliàb, figlio di Chelon;	9 of Zebulon, Eliab the son of Helon.
10 per i figli di Giuseppe, per Èfraim: Elisamà, figlio di Ammiùd; per Manasse: Gamlièl, figlio di Pedasùr;	10 And from the sons of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;
11 per Beniamino: Abidàn, figlio di Ghideonì;	11 of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;
12 per Dan: Achièzer, figlio di Ammisaddài;	12 of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;
13 per Aser: Paghièl, figlio di Ocran;	13 of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran;
14 per Gad: Eliasàf, figlio di Deuèl;	14 of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Reuel;
15 per Nèftali: Achirà, figlio di Enan».	15 of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.”
16 Questi furono i designati della comunità, i prìncipi delle loro tribù paterne, i capi delle migliaia d’Israele.	16 These are the very noble leaders of the multitude, by their tribes and kinships, and the heads of the army of Israel.
17 Mosè e Aronne presero questi uomini, che erano stati designati per nome,	17 Moses and Aaron took these, with all the multitude of the common people,
18 e radunarono tutta la comunità, il primo giorno del secondo mese; furono registrati secondo le famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando il numero delle persone dai vent'anni in su, testa per testa.	18 and they gathered them together on the first day of the second month, taking a census of them by kinships, and houses, and families, and heads, and the names of each one from twenty years and above,
19 Come il Signore gli aveva ordinato, Mosè ne fece il censimento nel deserto del Sinai.	19 just as the Lord had instructed Moses. And they were numbered in the desert of Sinai.
20 Risultò per i figli di Ruben, primogenito d’Israele, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di tutti i maschi, testa per testa, dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	20 Of Ruben, the firstborn of Israel, by their generations and families and houses, and the names of each head, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
21 censiti della tribù di Ruben quarantaseimilacinquecento.	21 there were forty-six thousand five hundred.
22 Per i figli di Simeone, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di tutti i maschi, testa per testa, dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	22 Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names and heads of each one, of all who were of the male sex, from twenty years and above, capable of going to war,
23 censiti della tribù di Simeone cinquantanovemilatrecento.	23 there were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
24 Per i figli di Gad, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	24 Of the sons of Gad, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
25 censiti della tribù di Gad quarantacinquemilaseicentocinquanta.	25 there were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.
26 Per i figli di Giuda, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	26 Of the sons of Judah, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
27 censiti della tribù di Giuda settantaquattromilaseicento.	27 there were counted seventy-four thousand six hundred.
28 Per i figli di Ìssacar, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	28 Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who could go forth to war,
29 censiti della tribù di Ìssacar cinquantaquattromilaquattrocento.	29 there were counted fifty-four thousand four hundred.
30 Per i figli di Zàbulon, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	30 Of the sons of Zebulon, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
31 censiti della tribù di Zàbulon cinquantasettemilaquattrocento.	31 there were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

33 censiti della tribù di Èfraim quarantamilacinquecento;	33 there were forty thousand five hundred.

38 Per i figli di Dan, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	38 Of the sons of Dan, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
39 censiti della tribù di Dan sessantaduemilasettecento.	39 there were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
40 Per i figli di Aser, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	40 Of the sons of Asher, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
41 censiti della tribù di Aser quarantunmilacinquecento.	41 there were forty thousand and one thousand five hundred.
42 Per i figli di Nèftali, stabilite le loro genealogie secondo le loro famiglie, secondo i loro casati paterni, contando i nomi di quelli dai vent'anni in su, quanti potevano andare in guerra:	42 Of the sons of Naphtali, by their generations and families, and the houses of their kinships, having been counted by the names of each one, from twenty years and above, of all who were able to go forth to war,
43 censiti della tribù di Nèftali cinquantatremilaquattrocento.	43 there were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
44 Questi furono i censiti, di cui fecero il censimento Mosè e Aronne e i prìncipi d’Israele, dodici uomini: c'era un uomo per ciascun casato paterno.	44 These are the ones who were numbered by Moses and Aaron and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one by the houses of their kinships.
45 E tutti i censiti degli Israeliti, secondo i loro casati paterni, dai vent'anni in su, cioè quanti potevano andare in guerra in Israele,	45 And the entire number of the sons of Israel by their houses and families, from twenty years and above, who were able to go forth to war, were
46 risultarono registrati in tutto seicentotremilacinquecentocinquanta.	46 six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.
47 Ma i leviti, secondo la loro tribù paterna, non furono registrati insieme con gli altri.	47 But the Levites in the tribes of their families were not numbered with them.
48 Il Signore parlò a Mosè dicendo:	48 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
49 «Solo la tribù di Levi non censirai, né di essa farai il computo tra gli Israeliti;	49 “Do not number the tribe of Levi, neither shall you take a total of them with the sons of Israel.
50 invece affiderai ai leviti la Dimora della Testimonianza, tutti i suoi accessori e quanto le appartiene. Essi trasporteranno la Dimora e tutti i suoi accessori, vi presteranno servizio e staranno accampati attorno alla Dimora.	50 But appoint them over the tabernacle of the testimony, and all its vessels, and whatever pertains to the ceremonies. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its articles. And they shall be for the ministry, and they shall encamp all around the tabernacle.
51 Quando la Dimora dovrà muoversi, i leviti la smonteranno; quando la Dimora dovrà accamparsi, i leviti la erigeranno. Se un estraneo si avvicinerà, sarà messo a morte.	51 When you would depart, the Levites shall take down the tabernacle. When you are to make camp, they shall set it up. Any outsider who will approach it shall be killed.
52 Gli Israeliti pianteranno le tende ognuno nel suo campo, ognuno vicino alla sua insegna, secondo le loro schiere.	52 Now the sons of Israel shall make camp, each one by his companies and bands, as well as his army.
53 Ma i leviti pianteranno le tende attorno alla Dimora della Testimonianza; così la mia ira non si abbatterà sulla comunità degli Israeliti. I leviti avranno la cura della Dimora della Testimonianza».	53 Moreover, the Levites shall fix their tents all around the tabernacle, lest there be an indignation over the multitude of the sons of Israel. And they shall stand watch as guardians over the tabernacle of the testimony.”
54 Gli Israeliti eseguirono ogni cosa come il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè: così fecero.	54 Therefore, the sons of Israel acted according to everything that the Lord had instructed Moses.
