Ezechiele 5

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Figlio dell’uomo, prendi una spada affilata, usala come un rasoio da barbiere e raditi i capelli e la barba. Poi prendi una bilancia e dividi i peli tagliati.	1 'Son of man, take a sharp sword, use it like a barber's razor and run it over your head and beard. Thentake scales and divide the hair you have cut off.
2 Un terzo lo brucerai sul fuoco in mezzo alla città al termine dei giorni dell’assedio. Prenderai un altro terzo e lo taglierai con la spada intorno alla città. Disperderai al vento l’ultimo terzo, mentre io sguainerò la spada dietro a loro.	2 Burn one-third inside the city, while the days of the siege are working themselves out. Then takeanother third and chop it up with the sword all round the city. The last third you are to scatter to the wind, while Iunsheathe the sword behind them.
3 Conservane solo alcuni e li legherai al lembo del tuo mantello;	3 Also take a few hairs and tie them up in the folds of your cloak;
4 ne prenderai ancora una piccola parte e li getterai sulla brace e da essi si sprigionerà il fuoco e li brucerai. A tutta la casa d’Israele riferirai:	4 and of these again take a few, and throw them on the fire and burn them. From them fire will come onthe whole House of Israel.
5 Così dice il Signore Dio: Questa è Gerusalemme! Io l’avevo collocata in mezzo alle nazioni e circondata di paesi stranieri.	5 'The Lord Yahweh says this, "This is Jerusalem, which I have placed in the middle of the nations,surrounded with foreign countries.
6 Essa si è ribellata con empietà alle mie norme più delle nazioni e alle mie leggi più dei paesi che la circondano: hanno disprezzato le mie norme e non hanno camminato secondo le mie leggi.	6 She has rebelled more perversely against my observances than the nations have, and against my lawsthan the surrounding countries have; for they have rejected my observances and not kept my laws."
7 Perciò, dice il Signore Dio: Poiché voi siete più ribelli delle nazioni che vi circondano, non avete camminato secondo le mie leggi, non avete osservato le mie norme e neppure avete agito secondo le norme delle nazioni che vi stanno intorno,	7 'Therefore, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Because your disorders are worse than those of the nationsround you, since you do not keep my laws or respect my observances, and since you do not respect even theobservances of the surrounding nations,
8 ebbene, così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, anch’io sono contro di te! Farò giustizia di te di fronte alle nazioni.	8 very wel , the Lord Yahweh says this: I, too, am against you and shal execute my judgements on youfor the nations to see.
9 Farò a te quanto non ho mai fatto e non farò mai più, a causa delle tue colpe abominevoli.	9 Because of al your loathsome practices I shal do such things as I have never done before, nor shallever do again.
10 Perciò in mezzo a te i padri divoreranno i figli e i figli divoreranno i padri. Porterò a compimento i miei giudizi contro di te e disperderò ai quattro venti quello che resterà di te.	10 Those of you who are parents wil eat their children, and children wil eat their parents. I shall executejudgement on you and disperse what remains of you to the winds.
11 Com’è vero che io vivo, oracolo del Signore Dio: poiché tu hai profanato il mio santuario con tutte le tue nefandezze e con tutte le tue abominazioni, anche io raderò tutto, il mio occhio non si impietosirà, non avrò compassione.	11 For, as I live -- declares Lord Yahweh -- as sure as you have defiled my sanctuary with al your horrorsand all your loathsome practices, so I too shal reject you without a glance of pity, I shal not spare you.
12 Un terzo dei tuoi morirà di peste e perirà di fame in mezzo a te; un terzo cadrà di spada attorno a te e l’altro terzo lo disperderò a tutti i venti e li inseguirò con la spada sguainata.	12 A third of your citizens wil die of plague or starve to death inside you; a third wil fall by the swordround you; and a third I shal scatter to the winds, unsheathing the sword behind them.
13 Allora darò sfogo alla mia ira, scaricherò su di loro il mio furore e mi vendicherò; allora sapranno che io, il Signore, avevo parlato con sdegno, quando sfogherò su di loro il mio furore.	13 I shal sate my anger and bring my fury to rest on them until I am avenged; and when I have sated myfury on them, then they wil know that I, Yahweh, spoke out of jealousy for you.
14 Ti ridurrò a un deserto, a un obbrobrio in mezzo alle nazioni circostanti, sotto gli sguardi di tutti i passanti.	14 Yes, I shal reduce you to a ruin, an object of derision to the surrounding nations, in the eyes of al whopass by.
15 Sarai un obbrobrio e un vituperio, un esempio e un orrore per le genti che ti circondano – io, il Signore, ho parlato – quando in mezzo a te farò giustizia, con sdegno e furore, con terribile vendetta,	15 You will be an object of derision and insults, an example, an object of amazement to the surroundingnations, when I execute judgement on you in furious anger and furious punishments. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
16 quando scoccherò contro di voi le terribili frecce della fame, che portano distruzione e che lancerò per distruggervi, e quando aumenterò la fame contro di voi, togliendovi la riserva del pane.	16 On them I shal send the deadly arrows of famine, which wil destroy you -- for I shall send them todestroy you; then I shall make the famine worse and cut off your food supply.
17 Allora manderò contro di voi la fame e le belve, che ti distruggeranno i figli; in mezzo a te passeranno la peste e la strage, mentre farò piombare sopra di te la spada. Io, il Signore, ho parlato».	17 I shal send famine and wild animals on you to rob you of your children; plague and bloodshed wilsweep through you, and I shal bring the sword down on you. I, Yahweh, have spoken." '
