Ezechiele 35

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 «Figlio dell’uomo, volgiti verso il monte Seir e profetizza contro di esso.	2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.
3 Annuncerai: Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, monte Seir, anche su di te stenderò il mio braccio e farò di te una solitudine, un luogo desolato.	3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;
4 Ridurrò le tue città in rovina, e tu diventerai un deserto; così saprai che io sono il Signore.	4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
5 Tu hai nutrito un odio secolare contro gli Israeliti e li hai consegnati alla spada al tempo della loro sventura, al colmo della loro iniquità;	5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,
6 per questo, com’è vero che io vivo – oracolo del Signore Dio –, ti abbandonerò alla violenza del sangue e il sangue ti perseguiterà; tu non hai odiato la violenza del sangue e il sangue ti perseguiterà.	6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.
7 Farò del monte Seir una solitudine e un deserto, e vi eliminerò chiunque lo percorre.	7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.
8 Riempirò di cadaveri i tuoi monti; sulle tue alture, per le tue pendici, in tutte le tue valli cadranno i trafitti di spada.	8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .
9 In solitudine perenne ti ridurrò e le tue città non saranno più abitate: saprete che io sono il Signore.	9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.
10 Poiché hai detto: “Questi due popoli, questi due territori saranno miei, noi li possederemo”, anche se là è il Signore,	10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,
11 per questo, com’è vero che io vivo – oracolo del Signore Dio –, io agirò secondo quell’ira e quel furore che tu hai dimostrato nell’odio contro di loro e mi farò conoscere in mezzo a loro quando farò giustizia di te:	11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,
12 saprai allora che io sono il Signore. Ho udito tutti gli insulti che tu hai proferito contro i monti d’Israele, dicendo: “Sono deserti; sono dati a noi perché li divoriamo”.	12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.
13 Contro di me avete fatto discorsi insolenti, contro di me avete moltiplicato le parole: ho udito tutto.	13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!
14 Così dice il Signore Dio: Poiché tutto il paese ha gioito, farò di te una solitudine:	14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.
15 poiché tu hai gioito per l’eredità della casa d’Israele quando era devastata, così io tratterò te: sarai ridotto a una solitudine, o monte Seir, e anche tu Edom, tutto intero. Sapranno che io sono il Signore.	15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "
