Ezechiele 32

1 Nell’anno dodicesimo, nel dodicesimo mese, il primo del mese, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	1 And it happened that, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
2 «Figlio dell’uomo, intona un lamento sul faraone, re d’Egitto, dicendo: Leone fra le nazioni eri considerato; ma eri come un coccodrillo nelle acque, erompevi nei tuoi fiumi e agitavi le acque con le tue zampe, intorbidendone i corsi.	2 “Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, and you shall say to him: You are like the lion of the Gentiles, and like the dragon that is in the sea. And you brandished a horn among your rivers, and you disturbed the waters with your feet, and you trampled upon their rivers.
3 Così dice il Signore Dio: Tenderò contro di te la mia rete con una grande assemblea di popoli e ti tireranno su con la mia rete.	3 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: I will spread my net over you, with the multitude of many peoples, and I will draw you into my dragnet.
4 Ti getterò sulla terraferma e ti scaglierò al suolo. Farò posare su di te tutti gli uccelli del cielo e sazierò di te tutte le bestie della terra.	4 And I will throw you upon the land. I will cast you upon the surface of the field. And I will cause all the birds of the air to live upon you. And I will satiate the beasts of the entire earth with you.
5 Spargerò per i monti la tua carne e riempirò le valli della tua carogna.	5 And I will place your flesh upon the mountains. And I will fill up your hills with your decaying flesh.
6 Farò bere alla terra il tuo scolo, il tuo sangue, fino ai monti, e i burroni saranno pieni di te.	6 And I will irrigate the earth with your rotting blood upon the mountains. And the valleys will be filled with you.
7 Quando cadrai estinto, coprirò il cielo e oscurerò le sue stelle, velerò il sole di nubi e la luna non brillerà.	7 And I will cover heaven, when you will have been extinguished. And I will cause its stars to grow dark. I will shroud the sun with gloom, and the moon will not give her light.
8 Oscurerò tutti gli astri del cielo su di te e stenderò sulla tua terra le tenebre. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	8 I will cause all the lights of heaven to grieve over you. And I will bring darkness upon your land, says the Lord God, when your wounded will have fallen in the midst of the land, says the Lord God.
9 Renderò sgomento il cuore di molti popoli, quando farò giungere la notizia della tua rovina alle genti, in regioni a te sconosciute.	9 And I will provoke the heart of many peoples to anger, when I will have led in your destruction among the Gentiles, over the lands that you have not known.
10 Per te farò stupire molti popoli e tremeranno i loro re a causa tua, quando brandirò la spada davanti a loro. Nel giorno della tua rovina ognuno tremerà ad ogni istante per la sua vita.	10 And I will cause many peoples to be stupefied over you. And their kings will be afraid, with great horror, over you, when my sword will begin to fly above their faces. And suddenly, they will be struck with astonishment, each one concerning his own life, on the day of their ruination.
11 Poiché così dice il Signore Dio: La spada del re di Babilonia ti raggiungerà.	11 For thus says the Lord God: The sword of the king of Babylon will come to you.
12 Abbatterò la tua gente con la spada dei prodi, i più feroci tra le nazioni; distruggeranno l’orgoglio dell’Egitto e tutta la sua gente sarà sterminata.	12 By the swords of the strong, I will cast down your multitude. All these nations are invincible, and they will lay waste to the arrogance of Egypt, and so its multitude will be destroyed.
13 Farò perire tutto il suo bestiame sulle rive delle grandi acque, che non saranno più intorbidite da piede d’uomo, né unghia d’animale le intorbiderà.	13 And I will perish all its cattle, which were above the many waters. And the foot of man will no longer disturb them, and the hoof of cattle will no longer trouble them.
14 Allora farò ritornare tranquille le loro acque e farò scorrere i loro fiumi come olio. Oracolo del Signore.	14 Then I will cause their waters to be very pure, and their rivers to be like oil, says the Lord God,
15 Quando avrò fatto dell’Egitto una terra desolata, priva di quanto contiene, quando avrò percosso tutti i suoi abitanti, allora sapranno che io sono il Signore.	15 when I will have set the land of Egypt in desolation. And the land will be deprived of her plenitude, when I will have struck all its inhabitants. And they shall know that I am the Lord.
16 Questo è un lamento e lo si canterà. Lo canteranno le figlie delle nazioni, lo canteranno sull’Egitto e su tutta la sua gente». Oracolo del Signore Dio.	16 This is the lamentation. And they shall lament it. The daughters of the Gentiles shall lament it. They shall lament it over Egypt and over its multitude, says the Lord God.”
17 Nell’anno dodicesimo, il quindici del mese, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	17 And it happened that, in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth of the month, the word of the Lord came to me saying:
18 «Figlio dell’uomo, intona un canto funebre sugli abitanti dell’Egitto. Falli scendere, insieme con le figlie di nazioni potenti, nella regione sotterranea, con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	18 “Son of man, sing mournfully over the multitude of Egypt. And cast her down, both her and the daughters of the robust nations, to the lowest part of the earth, with those who descend into the pit.
19 Di chi tu saresti più bello? Scendi e giaci con i non circoncisi.	19 Whom do you exceed in beauty? Descend and sleep with the uncircumcised!
20 Cadranno fra gli uccisi di spada; la spada è già consegnata. Colpite a morte l’Egitto e tutta la sua gente.	20 They will fall by the sword in the midst of the slain. The sword has been given. They have dragged her down, with all her people.
21 Gli eroi più potenti si rivolgeranno a lui e ai suoi aiutanti e dagli inferi diranno: “Vieni, giaci con i non circoncisi, con i trafitti di spada”.	21 The most powerful among the strong will speak to him from the midst of hell, those who descended with his helpers and who went to sleep uncircumcised, slain by the sword.
22 Là è Assur e tutta la sua gente, intorno al suo sepolcro, tutti uccisi, trafitti di spada;	22 Assur is in that place, with all his multitude. Their graves are all around him: all of the slain and those who fell by the sword.
23 poiché le loro sepolture sono poste nel fondo della fossa e la sua gente è intorno al suo sepolcro: tutti uccisi, trafitti di spada, essi che seminavano il terrore nella terra dei viventi.	23 Their graves have been placed in the lowest parts of the pit. And his multitude was stationed on all sides of his grave: all of the slain, and those who fell by the sword, who formerly spread terror in the land of the living.
24 Là, intorno al suo sepolcro, è Elam e tutta la sua gente. Tutti uccisi, trafitti di spada, scesi non circoncisi nella regione sotterranea, essi che seminavano il terrore nella terra dei viventi. Ora portano la loro ignominia con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	24 Elam is in that place, with all his multitude, on all sides of his grave, all those who were slain or who fell by the sword, who descended uncircumcised to the lowest part of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.
25 In mezzo ai trafitti posero il suo giaciglio e intorno al suo sepolcro tutta la sua gente, tutti non circoncisi, trafitti di spada; perché avevano seminato il terrore nella terra dei viventi, portano la loro ignominia con quelli che scendono nella fossa. Sono stati collocati in mezzo ai trafitti di spada.	25 They have appointed him a place to lie among all his people, in the midst of the slain. Their graves are all around him. All these are uncircumcised and were slain by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living, and they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit. They have been stationed in the midst of the slain.
26 Là, intorno al suo sepolcro, è Mesec, Tubal e tutta la sua gente: tutti non circoncisi, trafitti di spada, perché avevano seminato il terrore nella terra dei viventi.	26 Meshech and Tubal are in that place, with all their multitude. Their graves are all around him: all these are uncircumcised, and they were slain and fell by the sword. For they spread their terror in the land of the living.
27 Non giaceranno al fianco degli eroi caduti da secoli, che scesero negli inferi con le armi da guerra, con le spade disposte sotto il loro capo e con gli scudi sulle loro ossa, perché tali eroi erano un terrore nella terra dei viventi.	27 But they shall not sleep with the strong, and with those who also fell uncircumcised, who descended to hell with their weapons, and who placed their swords under their heads, while their iniquities were in their bones. For they were the terror of the strong in the land of the living.
28 Così tu giacerai fra i non circoncisi e con i trafitti di spada.	28 Therefore, you also will be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and you will sleep with those who were slain by the sword.
29 Là è Edom, i suoi re e tutti i suoi prìncipi che, nonostante il loro valore, sono posti con i trafitti di spada: giacciono con i non circoncisi e con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	29 Idumea is in that place, with her kings and all her commanders, who with their army have been given to those who were slain by the sword. And they have slept with the uncircumcised and with those who descend into the pit.
30 Là sono tutti i prìncipi del settentrione, tutti quelli di Sidone, che scesero con i trafitti, coperti di vergogna nonostante il terrore sparso dalla loro potenza; giacciono non circoncisi con i trafitti di spada e portano la loro ignominia con quelli che scendono nella fossa.	30 All the leaders of the north are in that place, with all the hunters, who were brought down with the slain, fearful and confounded in their strength, who have gone to sleep uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword. And they have borne their disgrace, with those who descend into the pit.
31 Il faraone li vedrà e si consolerà per tutta la sua gente; il faraone e tutto il suo esercito saranno trafitti di spada. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	31 Pharaoh saw them, and he was consoled over all his multitude, which was slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his army, says the Lord God.
32 Poiché aveva seminato il terrore nella terra dei viventi, il faraone con tutta la sua gente giace in mezzo ai non circoncisi, con i trafitti di spada». Oracolo del Signore Dio.	32 For I have spread my terror in the land of the living, and he has gone to sleep in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who were slain by the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord God.”
