Ezechiele 30

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 «Figlio dell’uomo, profetizza e di’: Così dice il Signore Dio: Gemete: “Ah, che giorno!”.	2 'Son of man, prophesy and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Howl: Disaster day!
3 Perché il giorno è vicino, vicino è il giorno del Signore, giorno di nubi sarà il giorno delle nazioni.	3 For the day is near, the day of Yahweh is near; it wil be a day dark with cloud, a time of doom for thenations.
4 La spada verrà sull’Egitto e ci sarà l’angoscia in Etiopia, quando cadranno in Egitto i trafitti, le sue ricchezze saranno asportate e le sue fondamenta disfatte.	4 "The sword wil come on Egypt, and anguish on the country of Cush when the slaughtered fal inEgypt, when her riches are carried away and her foundations are destroyed.
5 Etiopia, Put e Lud e stranieri d’ogni specie e Cub e i figli del paese dell’alleanza cadranno con loro di spada.	5 Cush, Put and Lud, all Arabia, Cub and the children of the country of the covenant will fal by thesword with them.
6 Così dice il Signore: Cadranno gli alleati dell’Egitto e sarà abbattuto l’orgoglio della sua forza: da Migdol fino a Siene cadranno di spada. Oracolo del Signore Dio.	6 "Yahweh says this: "The supports of Egypt wil fall; the pride of her strength wil crumble; they will fal by the sword from Migdol to Syene -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
7 Sarà un deserto fra terre devastate e le sue città fra città desolate.	7 "They will be the most desolate of desolate countries, and its cities the most ruined of cities.
8 Sapranno che io sono il Signore quando darò fuoco all’Egitto e tutti i suoi sostenitori saranno schiacciati.	8 And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I set fire to Egypt and al its supports are shattered.
9 In quel giorno da parte mia partiranno su navi messaggeri a spargere il terrore in Etiopia, che si crede sicura. E in essa, come nel giorno dell’Egitto, vi sarà spavento: ecco, già viene quel giorno.	9 "That day, I shal send messengers by ship to terrify the carefree Cushites, and anguish wil overtakethem on the day of Egypt -- it is coming now!
10 Così dice il Signore Dio: Farò cessare l’opulenza dell’Egitto per mezzo di Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia.	10 The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal destroy the huge population of Egypt at the hand ofNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
11 Egli e il suo popolo, il più violento dei popoli, saranno inviati a devastare il paese e sguaineranno la loro spada contro l’Egitto e riempiranno il terreno di cadaveri.	11 He and his people, the most barbarous of nations, wil be brought to ravage the country. They wildraw the sword against Egypt and fil the country with corpses.
12 Farò seccare il Nilo e darò il paese in mano a nazioni barbare, devasterò il territorio e ciò che contiene, per mezzo di stranieri. Io, il Signore, ho parlato.	12 I shal dry up the courses of the Nile and sel the country to the wicked. I shal lay the whole countrywaste and everything in it, at the hand of foreigners. I, Yahweh, have spoken.
13 Così dice il Signore Dio: Distruggerò gli idoli e farò sparire gli dèi da Menfi. Non ci sarà più principe nella terra d’Egitto, spanderò il terrore nella terra d’Egitto,	13 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall destroy the foul idols and take the false gods away from Noph.Egypt wil be left without a ruler. I shall spread fear through Egypt.
14 devasterò Patros, darò fuoco a Tanis, farò giustizia su Tebe.	14 I shal lay Pathros waste, set Zoan on fire, inflict my punishments on No.
15 Scatenerò l’ira su Sin, la roccaforte d’Egitto, sterminerò la moltitudine di Tebe.	15 I shal vent my fury on Sin, the bastion of Egypt; I shall wipe out the throngs of No.
16 Metterò a fuoco l’Egitto: Sin si torcerà dal dolore, Tebe sarà squassata, Menfi sarà smantellata dai nemici in pieno giorno.	16 I shal set fire to Egypt; Sin will be seized with convulsions; a breach wil be opened at No and thewaters flood out.
17 I giovani di Eliòpoli e di Bubasti cadranno di spada e queste città andranno in schiavitù.	17 The young men of On and Pi-Beseth wil fal by the sword and the cities themselves go into captivity.
18 A Tafni si oscurerà il giorno, quando vi spezzerò i gioghi imposti dall’Egitto e verrà meno in lei l’orgoglio della sua potenza; una nube la coprirà e le sue figlie saranno condotte schiave.	18 At Tahpanhes day will turn to darkness when I shatter the sceptres of Egypt there, when the pride ofher strength ceases. A cloud will cover Egypt itself, and its daughters will go into captivity.
19 Farò giustizia dell’Egitto e sapranno che io sono il Signore».	19 Such wil be the punishments I inflict on Egypt. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '
20 Nell’anno undicesimo, nel primo mese, il sette del mese, mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	20 In the eleventh year, on the seventh day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,
21 «Figlio dell’uomo, ho spezzato il braccio del faraone, re d’Egitto; egli non è stato curato con medicamenti né fasciato con bende per fargli riprendere forza e maneggiare la spada.	21 'Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; you can see that no one has dressedhis wound by applying remedies to it, by bandaging it and by dressing it, to make it strong enough to wield thesword.
22 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro il faraone, re d’Egitto: gli spezzerò il braccio ancora valido e gli farò cadere la spada di mano.	22 This being so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt; I shal breakhis arms, the sound one and the broken one, and make the sword drop from his hand.
23 Disperderò gli Egiziani fra le genti e li disseminerò in paesi stranieri.	23 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries.
24 Invece rafforzerò le braccia del re di Babilonia e nella sua mano porrò la mia spada: spezzerò le braccia del faraone, che gemerà davanti a lui come geme uno ferito a morte.	24 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand. I shal breakPharaoh's arms and, confronted with his enemy, he wil groan like a dying man.
25 Fortificherò le braccia del re di Babilonia, mentre le braccia del faraone cadranno. Sapranno che io sono il Signore, quando porrò la mia spada nella mano del re di Babilonia ed egli la stenderà sulla terra d’Egitto.	25 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh wil fall. And they wilknow that I am Yahweh, when I put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon and he wields it againstEgypt.
26 Disperderò gli Egiziani fra le genti e li disseminerò in paesi stranieri: sapranno che io sono il Signore».	26 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries; and they wil know that Iam Yahweh." '
