| 14 Riconosciuta la voce di Pietro, per la gioia non aprì, ma corse dentro ad annunziare che Pietro era al portone. | 14 She recognised Peter's voice and was so overcome with joy that, instead of opening the door, she raninside with the news that Peter was standing at the main entrance. |

| 23 Ma all’istante un angelo del Signore lo colpì, perché non aveva reso onore a Dio e, roso dai vermi, spirò. | 23 and at that moment the angel of the Lord struck him down, because he had not given the glory toGod. He was eaten away by worms and died. |
| 24 Intanto l’evangelo cresceva e si moltiplicava. | 24 The word of God continued to spread and to gain fol owers. |
| 25 Barnaba e Saulo, adempiuto l’incarico rien- trarono da Gerusalemme, donde portarono con sé Giovanni soprannominato Marco. | 25 Barnabas and Saul completed their task at Jerusalem and came back, bringing John Mark with them. |
