1 Per il capocoro. Del servitore di Jahvè. Di David.	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD. Transgression speaks to the wicked deep in his heart; there is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 Sussurro del peccato al peccatore in fondo al suo cuore; non c’è timore di Dio nel cospetto dei suoi occhi.	2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes that his iniquity cannot be found out and hated.
3 Poiché fece lusinghe ai suoi occhiquanto a scoprire la colpa, ad odiarla.	3 The words of his mouth are mischief and deceit; he has ceased to act wisely and do good.
4 Le parole della sua bocca sono malizia e frode, cessò di comprendere e di fare bene;	4 He plots mischief while on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he spurns not evil.
5 escogitò malizia sul suo giaciglio. Si tenne su una via non buona, non riprova il male.	5 Thy steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, thy faithfulness to the clouds.
6 Jahvè: nei cieli è la tua bontà, la tua fedeltà giunge fino alle nubi.	6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God, thy judgments are like the great deep; man and beast thou savest, O LORD.
7 La tua giustizia è come i monti divini, il tuo giudizio come il grande abisso; tu salvi, o Jahvè, l’uomo e il bestiame.	7 How precious is thy steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge in the shadow of thy wings.
8 Quanto è preziosa la tua bontà, o Dio; tale che i figli dell’uomo all’ombra delle tue ali si rifugiano.	8 They feast on the abundance of thy house, and thou givest them drink from the river of thy delights.
9 Si inebriano dell’adipe della tua casa e il rivo delle tue delizie li disseta.	9 For with thee is the fountain of life; in thy light do we see light.
10 Infatti presso di te è la fonte di vita, nella tua luce vedremo la luce.	10 O continue thy steadfast love to those who know thee, and thy salvation to the upright of heart!
11 Continua la tua grazia a coloro che ti conoscono e la tua giustizia ai retti di cuore.	11 Let not the foot of arrogance come upon me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
12 Non mi raggiunga piede orgoglioso e mano d’empio non mi riduca ramingo.	12 There the evildoers lie prostrate, they are thrust down, unable to rise.
13 Di colpo caddero coloro che fanno il male; furono rovesciati né poterono risorgere.
