BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ten piedad de nosotros, Dios, dueño de todas las cosas, mira y siembra tu temor sobre todas las naciones.	1 Take pity on us, Master, Lord of the universe, look at us, spread fear of yourself throughout al othernations.
2 Alza tu mano contra las naciones extranjeras, para que reconozcan tu señorío.	2 Raise your hand against the foreign nations and let them see your might.
3 Como ante ellas te has mostrado santo con nosotros, así ante nosotros muéstrate grande con ellas.	3 As, in their sight, you have proved yourself holy to us, so now, in our sight, prove yourself great to them.
4 Que te reconozcan, como nosotros hemos reconocido que no hay Dios fuera de ti, Señor.	4 Let them acknowledge you, just as we have acknowledged that there is no God but you, Lord.
5 Renueva las señales, repite tus maravillas, glorifica tu mano y tu brazo derecho.	5 Send new portents, do fresh wonders, win glory for your hand and your right arm.
6 Despierta tu furor y derrama tu ira, extermina al adversario, aniquila al enemigo.	6 Rouse your fury, pour out your rage, destroy the opponent, annihilate the enemy.
7 Acelera la hora, recuerda el juramento, y que se publiquen tus grandezas.	7 Hasten the day, remember the oath, and let people tell of your mighty deeds.
8 Que el fuego de la ira devore al que se escape, y los que hacen daño a tu pueblo hallen la perdición.	8 Let fiery wrath swal ow up the survivor, and destruction overtake those who oppress your people.
9 Aplasta la cabeza de los jefes enemigos, que dicen: «Nadie más que nosotros».	9 Crush the heads of hostile rulers who say, 'There is no one else but us!'
10 Congrega todas las tribus de Jacob, dales su heredad como al principio.	10 Gather together all the tribes of Jacob, restore them their heritage as at the beginning.
11 Ten piedad, Señor, del pueblo llamado con tu nombre, de Israel, a quien igualaste con el primogénito.	11 Take pity, Lord, on the people cal ed by your name, on Israel whom you have made your first-born.
12 Ten compasión de tu santa ciudad, de Jerusalén, lugar de tu reposo.	12 Have compassion on your holy city, on Jerusalem, the place where you rest.
13 Llena a Sión de tu alabanza, y de tu gloria tu santuario.	13 Fil Zion with your praises and your sanctuary with your glory.
14 Da testimonio a tus primeras criaturas, mantén las profecías dichas en tu nombre.	14 Vindicate those whom you created first, fulfil what has been prophesied in your name.
15 Da su recompensa a los que te aguardan, y que tus profetas queden acreditados.	15 Give those who wait for you their reward, let your prophets be proved true.
16 Escucha, Señor, la súplica de tus siervos, según la bendición de Aarón sobre tu pueblo.	16 Grant, Lord, the prayer of your servants, in the terms of Aaron's blessing on your people,
17 Y todos los de la tierra reconozcan que tú eres el Señor, el Dios eterno.	17 so that al the earth's inhabitants may acknowledge that you are the Lord, the everlasting God.
18 Todo alimento traga el vientre, pero unos alimentos son mejores que otros.	18 The stomach takes in all kinds of food, but some foods are better than others.
19 El paladar distingue por el gusto la carne de caza, así el corazón inteligente las palabras mentirosas.	19 As the palate discerns the flavour of game, so a shrewd listener detects lying words.
20 El corazón perverso da tristeza, pero el hombre de experiencia le da su merecido.	20 A perverse character causes depression in others; it needs experience to know how to repay such aone.
21 A cualquier marido acepta la mujer, pero unas hijas son mejores que otras.	21 A woman wil accept any husband, but some daughters are better than others.
22 La belleza de la mujer recrea la mirada, y el hombre la desea más que ninguna cosa.	22 A woman's beauty delights the beholder, a man likes nothing better.
23 Si en su lengua hay ternura y mansedumbre, su marido ya no es como los demás hombres.	23 If her tongue is kind and gentle, her husband is the happiest of men.
24 El que adquiere una mujer, adquiere el comienzo de la fortuna, una ayuda semejante a él y columna de apoyo.	24 The man who takes a wife has the makings of a fortune, a helper to match himself, a pil ar of support.
25 Donde no hay valla, la propiedad es saqueada, donde no hay mujer, gime un hombre a la deriva.	25 When property has no fence, it is open to plunder, when a man has no wife, he is aimless andquerulous.
26 ¿Quién se fiará del ladrón ágil que salta de ciudad en ciudad?	26 Wil anyone trust an armed thief who flits from town to town?
27 Así tampoco del hombre que no tiene nido y que se alberga donde la noche le sorprende.	27 So it is with the man who has no nest, and lodges wherever night overtakes him.
