1 Ten piedad de nosotros, Dios, dueño de todas las cosas, mira y siembra tu temor sobre todas las naciones.	1 Come to our aid, O God of the universe, and put all the nations in dread of you!
2 Alza tu mano contra las naciones extranjeras, para que reconozcan tu señorío.	2 Raise your hand against the heathen, that they may realize your power.
3 Como ante ellas te has mostrado santo con nosotros, así ante nosotros muéstrate grande con ellas.	3 As you have used us to show them your holiness, so now use them to show us your glory.
4 Que te reconozcan, como nosotros hemos reconocido que no hay Dios fuera de ti, Señor.	4 Thus they will know, as we know, that there is no God but you.
5 Renueva las señales, repite tus maravillas, glorifica tu mano y tu brazo derecho.	5 Give new signs and work new wonders; show forth the splendor of your right hand and arm;
6 Despierta tu furor y derrama tu ira, extermina al adversario, aniquila al enemigo.	6 Rouse your anger, pour out wrath, humble the enemy, scatter the foe.
7 Acelera la hora, recuerda el juramento, y que se publiquen tus grandezas.	7 Hasten the day, bring on the time;
8 Que el fuego de la ira devore al que se escape, y los que hacen daño a tu pueblo hallen la perdición.	8 Let raging fire consume the fugitive, and your people's oppressors meet destruction.
9 Aplasta la cabeza de los jefes enemigos, que dicen: «Nadie más que nosotros».	9 crush the heads of the hostile rulers.
10 Congrega todas las tribus de Jacob, dales su heredad como al principio.	10 Gather all the tribes of Jacob, that they may inherit the land as of old,
11 Ten piedad, Señor, del pueblo llamado con tu nombre, de Israel, a quien igualaste con el primogénito.	11 Show mercy to the people called by your name; Israel, whom you named your first-born.
12 Ten compasión de tu santa ciudad, de Jerusalén, lugar de tu reposo.	12 Take pity on your holy city, Jerusalem, your dwelling place.
13 Llena a Sión de tu alabanza, y de tu gloria tu santuario.	13 Fill Zion with your majesty, your temple with your glory.
14 Da testimonio a tus primeras criaturas, mantén las profecías dichas en tu nombre.	14 Give evidence of your deeds of old; fulfill the prophecies spoken in your name,
15 Da su recompensa a los que te aguardan, y que tus profetas queden acreditados.	15 Reward those who have hoped in you, and let your prophets be proved true.
16 Escucha, Señor, la súplica de tus siervos, según la bendición de Aarón sobre tu pueblo.	16 Hear the prayer of your servants, for you are ever gracious to your people;
17 Y todos los de la tierra reconozcan que tú eres el Señor, el Dios eterno.	17 Thus it will be known to the very ends of the earth that you are the eternal God.
18 Todo alimento traga el vientre, pero unos alimentos son mejores que otros.	18 The throat can swallow any food, yet some foods are more agreeable than others;
19 El paladar distingue por el gusto la carne de caza, así el corazón inteligente las palabras mentirosas.	19 As the palate tests meat by its savor, so does a keen mind insincere words.
20 El corazón perverso da tristeza, pero el hombre de experiencia le da su merecido.	20 A deceitful character causes grief, but an experienced man can turn the tables on him.
21 A cualquier marido acepta la mujer, pero unas hijas son mejores que otras.	21 Though any man may be accepted as a husband, yet one girl will be more suitable than another:
22 La belleza de la mujer recrea la mirada, y el hombre la desea más que ninguna cosa.	22 A woman's beauty makes her husband's face light up, for it surpasses all else that charms the eye;
23 Si en su lengua hay ternura y mansedumbre, su marido ya no es como los demás hombres.	23 And if, besides, her speech is kindly, his lot is beyond that of mortal men.
24 El que adquiere una mujer, adquiere el comienzo de la fortuna, una ayuda semejante a él y columna de apoyo.	24 A wife is her husband's richest treasure, a helpmate, a steadying column.
25 Donde no hay valla, la propiedad es saqueada, donde no hay mujer, gime un hombre a la deriva.	25 A vineyard with no hedge will be overrun; a man with no wife becomes a homeless wanderer.
26 ¿Quién se fiará del ladrón ágil que salta de ciudad en ciudad?	26 Who will trust an armed band that shifts from city to city?
27 Así tampoco del hombre que no tiene nido y que se alberga donde la noche le sorprende.	27 Or a man who has no nest, but lodges where night overtakes him?
