Salmos 90

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Oración. De Moisés, hombre de Dios. Señor, tú has sido para nosotros un refugio de edad en edad.	1 [Prayer Of Moses, man of God] Lord, you have been our refuge from age to age.
2 Antes que los montes fuesen engendrados, antes que naciesen tierra y orbe, desde siempre hasta siempre tú eres Dios.	2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world came to birth, from eternity to eternityyou are God.
3 Tú al polvo reduces a los hombres, diciendo: «¡Tornad, hijos de Adán!»	3 You bring human beings to the dust, by saying, 'Return, children of Adam.'
4 Porque mil años a tus ojos son como el ayer, que ya pasó, como una vigilia de la noche.	4 A thousand years are to you like a yesterday which has passed, like a watch of the night.
5 Tú los sumerges en un sueño, a la mañana serán como hierba que brota;	5 You flood them with sleep -- in the morning they wil be like growing grass:
6 por la mañana brota y florece, por la tarde se amustia y se seca.	6 in the morning it is blossoming and growing, by evening it is withered and dry.
7 Pues por tu cólera somos consumidos, por tu furor anonadados.	7 For we have been destroyed by your wrath, dismayed by your anger.
8 Has puesto nuestras culpas ante ti, a la luz de tu faz nuestras faltas secretas.	8 You have taken note of our guilty deeds, our secrets in the ful light of your presence.
9 Bajo tu enojo declinan todos nuestros días, como un suspiro consumimos nuestros años.	9 Al our days pass under your wrath, our lives are over like a sigh.
10 Los años de nuestra vida son unos setenta, u ochenta, si hay vigor; mas son la mayor parte trabajo y vanidad, pues pasan presto y nosotros nos volamos.	10 The span of our life is seventy years -- eighty for those who are strong -- but their whole extent isanxiety and trouble, they are over in a moment and we are gone.
11 ¿Quién conoce la fuerza de tu cólera, y, temiéndote, tu indignación?	11 Who feels the power of your anger, or who that fears you, your wrath?
12 ¡Enseñanos a contar nuestros días, para que entre la sabiduría en nuestro corazón!	12 Teach us to count up the days that are ours, and we shal come to the heart of wisdom.
13 ¡Vuelve, Yahveh! ¿Hasta cuándo? Ten piedad de tus siervos.	13 Come back, Yahweh! How long must we wait? Take pity on your servants.
14 Sácianos de tu amor a la mañana, que exultemos y cantemos toda nuestra vida.	14 Each morning fill us with your faithful love, we shal sing and be happy all our days;
15 Devuélvenos en gozo los días que nos humillaste, los años en que desdicha conocimos.	15 let our joy be as long as the time that you afflicted us, the years when we experienced disaster.
16 ¡Que se vea tu obra con tus siervos, y tu esplendor sobre sus hijos!	16 Show your servants the deeds you do, let their children enjoy your splendour!
17 ¡La dulzura del Señor sea con nosotros! ¡Confirma tú la acción de nuestras manos!	17 May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us, to confirm the work we have done!
