Ezechiele 29

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 L'anno decimo, nel decimo mese, agli undici del mese, la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:	1 In the tenth year, on the twelfth day of the tenth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,
2 « Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia contro Faraone re d'Egitto, e profetizza su di lui e su tutto l'Egitto;	2 'Son of man, turn towards Pharaoh king of Egypt and prophesy against him and against the whole ofEgypt.
3 parla e di': Così parla il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o Faraone, re d'Egitto, o gran dragone che riposi in mezzo ai tuoi fiumi, e dici: « Mio è il fiume: io mi son fatto da me ».	3 Speak and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt- the greatcrocodile wal owing in his Niles who thought: My Nile is mine, I made it.
4 Io metterò un freno alle tue mascelle, e farò che i pesci dei tuoi fiumi s'attacchino alle tue squame, e ti trarrò di mezzo ai tuoi fiumi, e tutti i tuoi pesci staranno attaccati alle tue sigiarne.	4 I shal put hooks through your jaws, make your Nile fish stick to your scales, and pul you out of yourNiles with al your Nile fish sticking to your scales.
5 E ti getterò nel deserto con tutti i pesci del tuo fiume: tu cadrai per terra, e non sarai nè raccolto, nè sepolto: ti ho dato in pasto alle bestie della terra e agli uccelli del cielo.	5 I shal drop you in the desert, with al your Nile fish. You will fal in the wilds and not be taken up orburied. I shall give you as food to the wild animals and the birds of heaven,
6 E tutti gli abitanti dell'Egitto sapranno che io sono il Signore, perchè tu fosti im sostegno di canna per la casa d'Israele,	6 and all the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, for they have given no more support thana reed to the House of Israel.
7 e quando ti presero in mano, ti rompesti, e lacerasti loro tutta la spalla, e quando si appoggiarono su di te andasti in pezzi, e facesti rompere a tutti i loro reni.	7 Wherever they grasped you, you broke in their hands and cut their hands al over. Whenever theyleaned on you, you broke, making al their limbs give way.
8 Per questo cosi parla il Signore Dio: Ecco che io farò venire contro di te la spada, e sterminerò in te uomini e giumenti.	8 "So, the Lord Yahweh says this: I shal send the sword against you to denude you of human andanimal.
9 E la terra d'Egitto diventerà un deserto, una solitudine, e sapranno che io sono il Signore. Perchè tu hai detto: « Il fiume è mio, sono io che l'ho fatto »,	9 Egypt wil become a desolate waste, and they wil know that I am Yahweh. Because he thought: TheNile is mine, I made it,
10 per questo, eccomi a te e ai tuoi fiumi, e ridurrò la terra d'Egitto a solitudine desolata dalla spada, dalla torre di Siene fino alla frontiera dell'Etiopia.	10 very well, I am against you and your Niles. I shal make Egypt a waste and a desolation, from Migdolto Syene and beyond to the frontiers of Ethiopia.
11 Non vi passerà piede umano, non vi camminerà piè di giumento, e sarà disabitato per quarant'anni.	11 No human foot wil pass through it, no animal foot will pass through it. For forty years it wil remainuninhabited.
12 E ridurrò la terra d'Egitto a deserto in mozzo a terre deserte, e le sue città, in mezzo a città distrutte, saran desolate per quarant'anni, e disperderò gli Egiziani fra le nazioni, e li disseminerò al vento per le terre.	12 I shal make Egypt the most desolate of countries; for forty years its cities wil be the most desolate ofwasted cities. And I shall scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them among the countries.
13 Però così parla il Signore Dio: Passati che siano quarant'anni, io radunerò gli Egiziani di mezzo ai popoli tra i quali furon dispersi,	13 The Lord Yahweh, however, says this: After forty years have passed, I shal gather the Egyptiansback from the nations where they were dispersed.
14 e farò tornare gli schiavi d'Egitto, e li farò abitare nella terra di Fatures, nel paese di loro origine, e vi formeranno un umile regno,	14 I shal bring the Egyptian captives back and re-instal them in the land of Pathros, in the country oftheir origin. There they wil constitute a modest kingdom.
15 che sarà il più piccolo tra i regni e non s'innalzerà più sopra le nazioni: li ridorrò a piccol numero, perchè non dominino più sulle nazioni.	15 Egypt wil be the most modest of kingdoms and no longer dominate other nations; for I shal reduce it,so that it will not rule other nations ever again.
16 E non saran più nella fiducia della casa d'Israele, e non insegneranno l'iniquità, che fuggano e li seguano; e sapranno che io sono il Signore Dio ».	16 It wil no longer be anything for the House of Israel to trust in, but wil be a reminder of the guilt whichlay in turning to it for help. And they will know that I am Lord Yahweh." '
17 L'anno ventisettesimo, nel primo mese, al primo del mese, la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:	17 In the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed tome as fol ows:
18 « Figlio dell'uomo, Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, ha fatto servire il suo esercito con penosa servitù contro Tiro: tutte le teste son diventate calve, tutte le spalle sono state scorticate, e non è stata data alcuna mercede per Tiro, nè a lui ne al suo esercito per il servizio che mi ha reso contro di lei.	18 'Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken his army in a great expedition against Tyre.Their heads have al gone bald, their shoulders are al chafed, but even so he has derived no profit, either forhimself or for his army, from the expedition mounted against Tyre.
19 Per questo cosi parla il Signore Dio: Ecco che io farò entrare Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, nella terra d'Egitto e ne farà prigioniero il popolo, e ne prenderà le spoglie e ne porterà via le ricchezze, e saranno il salario del suo esercito.	19 Since this is so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I shall hand Egypt over to Nebuchadnezzar kingof Babylon. He wil carry off its riches, loot it, put it to the sack; that wil be the wages for his army.
20 Pel servizio che ha reso contro Tiro gli ho data la terra d'Egitto, perchè egli ha fortificato per me — dice il Signore Dio.	20 As wages for the trouble he has taken, I am giving him Egypt instead (for they have been working forme)-declares the Lord Yahweh.
21 In quel giorno rifiorirà la potenza della casa d'Israele, e ti darò d'aprir la bocca in mezzo ad essi: e sapranno che io sono il Signore ».	21 "That day, I shall raise up a new stock for the House of Israel and al ow you to open your mouthamong them. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '
