Isaia 38

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 In quel tempo Ezechia cadde in una malattia mortale, e il profeta Isaia figlio di Amos, andato a trovarlo, gli disse: « Così dice il Signore: — Metti in ordine le tue cose, perchè tu morrai e non potrai vivere ».	1 About then, Hezekiah fel il and was at the point of death. 3 dicendo: « Te me prego, o Signore, e ti scongiuro a ricordarti come io ho camminato dinanzi a te nella verità e con cuore perfetto, e che ho fatto ciò che è buono dinanzi ai tuoi occhi ». Ezechia si mise a piangere dirottamente.	3 'Ah, Yahweh, remember, I beg you, that I have behaved faithful y and with sincerity of heart in yourpresence and done what you regard as right.' And Hezekiah shed many tears.
4 E il Signore rivolse la parola ad Isaia, dicendo:	4 Then the word of Yahweh came to Isaiah,
5 « Va a dire ad Ezechia: Il Signore Dio di David tuo padre dice cosi: — Ho ascoltata la tua preghiera, ho vedute le tue lacrime, ed ecco aggiungerò quindici anni alla tua vita,	5 'Go and say to Hezekiah, "Yahweh, the God of your ancestor David, says this: I have heard your prayerand seen your tears. I shal cure you: in three days' time you will go up to the Temple of Yahweh. I shal addfifteen years to your life.
6 e libererò te e questa città dal re d'Assiria, e la proteggerò.	6 I shal save you and this city from the king of Assyria's clutches and defend this city for my sake and myservant David's sake." '
7 Ecco da parte del Signore il segno che il Signore compirà questa sua parola:	7 'Here', Isaiah replied, 'is the sign from Yahweh that he will do what he has said.

12 La mia vita mi è tolta, portata lungi da me, come la tenda di un pastore. La mia vita è tagliata come dal tessitore la tela. Mentre io ordiva mi ha reciso: dalla mattina alla sera mi finirai.	12 My home has been pul ed up, and thrown away like a shepherd's tent; like a weaver, I have rol ed upmy life, he has cut me from the loom. 17 Ecco si cangia in pace la mia più grande amarezza; tu hai liberata l'anima mia dalla perdizione, ti sei gettati dietro le spalle tutti i miei peccati.	17 At once, my bitterness turns to wel -being. For you have preserved my soul from the pit ofnothingness, you have thrust al my sins behind you.
18 Certo non ti glorificherà l'inferno, non ti loderà la morte, nè quelli che scendono nella fossa spereranno nella tua verità.	18 For Sheol cannot praise you, nor Death celebrate you; those who go down to the pit can hope nolonger in your constancy.
19 I vivi, i vivi canteranno le tue lodi, come fo io in questo giorno: il padre farà conoscere ai figli la tua verità.	19 The living, the living are the ones who praise you, as I do today. Fathers tel their sons about yourconstancy.
20 Signore, salvami, e noi canteremo i nostri cantici per tutti i giorni di nostra vita nella casa del Signore ».	20 Yahweh, come to my help and we will make our harps resound al the days of our life in the Temple ofYahweh.
21 E Isaia fece portare una mas­sa di fichi, ne fece fare un impiastro sulla piaga, per guarirla.	21 'Bring a fig poultice,' Isaiah said, 'apply it to the ulcer and he wil recover.'
22 E Ezechia disse: « Qual segno m'assicurerà di salire alla casa del Signore? »	22 Hezekiah said, 'What is the sign to tel me that I shal be going up to the Temple of Yahweh?'
