1 - Poi il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne dicendo:	1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
2 «I figli d'Israele s'accamperanno attorno al tabernacolo della testimonianza, ciascuno secondo la sua compagnia ed insegna e bandiera, distinto per famiglia e casata.	2 All the children of Israel shall camp by their troops, ensigns, and standards, and the houses of their kindreds, round about the tabernacle of the covenant.
3 Ad oriente, pianterà le tende Giuda, secondo le compagnie che formano il suo esercito. Capo dei suoi figliuoli sarà Naasson figlio d'Aminadab,	3 On the east Juda shall pitch his tents by the bands of his army: and the prince of his sons shall be Nahasson the son of Aminadab.
4 e il totale de' combattenti della sua tribù è di settantaquattromila e seicento.	4 And the whole sum of the fighting men of his stock, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.
5 Presso a lui s'accampano quelli della tribù d'Issacar, il cui duce è Natanael figlio di Suar,	5 Next unto him they of the tribe of Issachar encamped, whose prince was Nathanael, the son of Suar.
6 e de' cui combattenti il numero totale è di cinquantaquattromila e quattrocento.	6 And the whole number of his fighting men were fifty-four thousand four hundred.
7 Della tribù di Zabulon è principe Eliab figlio di Helon,	7 In the tribe of Zabulon the prince was Eliab the son of Helon.
8 e tutto l'esercito de' combattenti della sua stirpe è di cinquantasettemila e quattrocento.	8 And all the army of fighting men of his stock, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.
9 Così tutti gli annumerati all'armata di Giuda sono centottantaseimila e quattrocento; essi moveranno pei primi, schiera per schiera.	9 All that were numbered in the camp of Juda, were a hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred: and they by their troops shall march first.
10 Dalla parte di mezzogiorno, il campo de' figliuoli di Ruben, con a capo Elisur figlio di Sedeur;	10 In the camp of the sons of Ruben, on the south side, the prince shall be Elisur the son of Sedeur:
11 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti è computato a quarantaseimila e cinquecento.	11 And the whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were forty-six thousand five hundred.
12 Presso di lui s'accampano quelli della tribù di Simeone, con a capo Salamiel figlio di Surisaddai;	12 Beside him camped they of the tribe of Simeon: whose prince was Salamiel the son of Surisaddai.
13 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati in rassegna è di cinquantanovemila e trecento.	13 And the whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.
14 Condottiero della tribù di Gad è Eliasaf figlio di Duel,	14 In the tribe of Gad the prince was Eliasaph the son of Duel.
15 e tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati in rassegna è di quarantacinquemila e seicentocinquanta.	15 And the whole army of his fighting men that were numbered, were fortyfive thousand six hundred and fifty.
16 Così, tutti quelli che appartengono all'armata di Ruben ammontano a centocinquantunmila e quattrocentocinquanta secondo le loro schiere. Moveranno al secondo luogo.	16 All that were reckoned up in the camp of Ruben, were a hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty, by their troops: they shall march in the second place.
17 Di poi verrà portato il tabernacolo della testimonianza, pel ministero dei leviti divisi a schiere. Come verrà smontato, così verrà rimontato. E marceranno ciascuno al suo luogo, nella sua schiera.	17 And the tabernacle of the testimony shall be carried by the officers of the Levites and their troops. As it shall be set up, so shall it be taken down. Every one shall march according to their places, and ranks.
18 Ad occidente starà il campo de' figli di Efraim, con a capo Elisama figlio d'Ammiud.	18 On the west side shall be the camp of the sons of Ephraim, whose prince was Elisama, the son of Ammiud.
19 Tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati a rassegna è di quarantamila e cinquecento.	19 The whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were forty thousand five hundred.
20 Con loro poi la tribù dei figli di Manasse, aventi a capo Gamaliel figlio di Fadassur;	20 And with them the tribe of the sons of Manasses, whose prince was Gamaliel the son of Phadassur.
21 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato a rassegna è di trentaduemila e duecento.	21 And the whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.
22 Duce della tribù de' figli di Beniamino è Abidan figlio di Gedeone,	22 In the tribe of the sons of Benjamin the prince was Abidan the son of Gedeon.
23 e tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di trentacinquemila e quattrocento.	23 And the whole army of his fighting men, that were reckoned up, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.
24 Così, tutti gli annoverati nell'armata d'Efraim sono centottomila e cento. Moveranno al terzo luogo, a schiera a schiera.	24 All that were numbered in the camp of Ephraim, were a hundred and eight thousand one hundred by their troops: they shall march in the third place.
25 A settentrione s'attenderanno i figli di Dan, con a capo Aiezer figlio d'Ammisaddai.	25 On the north side camped the sons of Dan: whose prince was Ahiezar the son of Ammisaddai.
26 Tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di sessantaduemila e settecento.	26 The whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.
27 Presso di loro pianteranno le tende quelli della tribù di Aser, comandati da Fegiel figlio di Ocran.	27 Beside him they of the tribe of Aser pitched their tents: whose prince was Phegiel the son of Ochran.
28 Tutto l'esercito dei suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di quarantunmila e cinquecento.	28 The whole army of his fighting men, that were numbered, were forty-one thousand five hundred.
29 Capo della tribù dei figli di Neftali è Aira figlio d'Enan.	29 Of the tribe of the sons of Nephtali the prince was Ahira the son of Enan.
30 Tutto l'esercito dei suoi combattenti è di cinquantatremila e quattrocento.	30 The whole army of his fighting men, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.
31 Così, tutti gli annoverati nell'armata di Dan sono centocinquantasettemila e seicento, e moveranno gli ultimi».	31 All that were numbered in the camp of Dan, were a hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred: and they shall march last.
32 Il numero dunque de' figli d'Israele, distinti secondo le loro famiglie e cognazioni, e secondo le compagnie degli eserciti, è di seicentotremila e cinquecentocinquanta.	32 This is the number of the children of Israel, of their army divided according to the houses of their kindreds and their troops, six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
33 I leviti però non son computati tra i figli d'Israele, perchè così aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.	33 And the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel: for so the Lord had commanded Moses.
34 Fecero dunque i figli d'Israele tutto quello che il Signore aveva comandato. S'accamparono schiera per schiera, e si misero in marcia secondo le famiglie e casate de' padri loro.	34 And the children of Israel did according to all things that the Lord had commanded. They camped by their troops, and marched by the families and houses of their fathers.
