1 Per il capocoro. Di David. Salmo. Cantico.	1 For the leader. A psalm of David; a song.
2 Sorge Dio! Si disperdono i suoi nemici e coloro che lo odiano fuggono dalla sua faccia.	2 God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee.
3 Come si dilegua il fumo della fornace, come si squaglia la cera al fuoco, periscono gli empi lontani dal volto di Dio.	3 The wind will disperse them like smoke; as wax is melted by fire, so the wicked will perish before God.
4 Ma i giusti gioiscono, esultano al cospetto di Dio e godono in festa.	4 Then the just will be glad; they will rejoice before God; they will celebrate with great joy.
5 Cantate a Dio, inneggiate al suo nome, fate strada a chi cavalca sulle nubi; Jah è il suo nome ed esultate al suo cospetto!	5 Sing to God, praise the divine name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before this God whose name is the LORD.
6 Padre degli orfani e vindice delle vedove, Dio nella sua santa dimora.	6 Father of the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is the God whose abode is holy,
7 Dio fa abitare ai derelitti una casa; fa uscire i prigionieri nella prosperità; solo i ribelli dimorano in terra arida.	7 Who gives a home to the forsaken, who leads prisoners out to prosperity, while rebels live in the desert.
8 Dio, quando partisti in testa al tuo popolo, quando marciasti per il deserto,	8 God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the desert, Selah
9 tremò la terra, stillarono i cieli al cospetto del Dio del Sinai, al cospetto di Dio, Dio di Israele.	9 The earth quaked, the heavens shook, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.
10 Una pioggia abbondante si riversò, Jahvè e tu confortasti la tua eredità spossata.	10 You claimed a land as your own, O God;
11 Il tuo popolo ne fu ristorato; appresti i tuoi beni ai poveri, Dio.	11 your people settled there. There you poured abundant rains, God, graciously given to the poor in their need.
12 Dio dà la parola: le annunciatrici sono in grande schiera;	12 All you people so numerous,
13 I re degli eserciti fuggono, fuggono e l’ornamento della casa divide le spoglie».	13 b) Every household will share the booty,

17 Perché mirate torvi, monti gibbosi, il monte che Dio prescelse a sua dimora? Jahvè vi abiterà in eterno!	17 You rugged mountains, why look with envy at the mountain where God has chosen to dwell, where the LORD resides forever?
18 I carri di Dio sono a miriadi, a migliaia e migliaia; Dio viene dal Sinai nel santuario.	18 God's chariots were myriad, thousands upon thousands; from Sinai the Lord entered the holy place.
19 Sei salito in alto, hai fatto prigionieri, hai preso doni fra gli uomini; anche i ribelli debbono prostrarsi, Jah, Dio.	19 You went up to its lofty height; you took captives, received slaves as tribute. No rebels can live in the presence of God.
20 Benedetto il Signore giorno per giorno! Ci porta Dio, nostra salvezza.	20 Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, who carries us. Selah
21 Dio è per noi Dio di salvezze e del Signore Jahvè sono gli scampi dalla morte.	21 Our God is a God who saves; escape from death is in the LORD God's hands.
22 Dio fenderà le teste dei suoi nemici, i il vertice irsuto di coloro che avanzano nel loro delitti.	22 God will crush the skulls of the enemy, the hairy heads of those who walk in sin.

26 Precedono i cantori; dietro, i citaredi; nel mezzo, le vergini con i tamburelli.	26 The singers go first, the harpists follow; in their midst girls sound the timbrels.
27 «Nelle adunanze benedite Dio, Jahvè, voi della sorgente di Israele».	27 In your choirs, bless God; bless the LORD, you from Israel's assemblies.
28 C’è Beniamin, il minore, loro capo, i capitani di Giuda a schiere, i i capitani di Zabulon, i capitani di Neftali.	28 In the lead is Benjamin, few in number; there the princes of Judah, a large throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali, too.
29 Comanda, Dio, alla tua forza; conferma, Dio, ciò che facesti per noi.	29 Summon again, O God, your power, the divine power you once showed for us.
