1 Rühme dich nicht des morgigen Tages, denn du weißt nicht, was der Tag gebiert.	1 Boast not for to morrow, for thou knowest not what the day to come may bring forth.
2 Rühmen soll dich ein anderer, nicht dein eigener Mund, ein Fremder, nicht deine eigenen Lippen.	2 Let another praise thee, and not thy own mouth: a stranger, and not thy own lips.
3 Schwer ist der Stein und eine Last ist der Sand, doch der Ärger mit einem Toren ist schwerer als beide.	3 A stone is heavy, and sand weighty: but the anger of a fool is heavier than them both.
