1 Sparso che fu il sangue de' rei, disse il Signore a Mosè, e ad Eleazaro figliuolo di Aronne,sommo sacerdote:	1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 Fate il novero de' figliuoli d'Israele da venti anni in su, di tutti quelli che sono attialle armi, secondo le loro case e famiglie.	2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, throughout their father's house, all that are able to go to war in Israel.
3 Mosè adunque ed Eleazaro sommo sacerdote parlarono nella pianura di Moab lungo il Giordanodirimpetto a Gerico, a quelli che erano	3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
4 Da venti anni in su, come il Signore avea loro comandato, ed eccone il numero.	4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt.
5 Ruben primogenito d'Israele: di lui fu figliuolo Henoc,dal quale la famiglia degliHenochiti: e Phallu, da cui la famiglia de' Phalluiti:	5 Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben; Hanoch, of whom cometh the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:
6 E Hesron, da cui la famiglia degli Hesroniti: e Charmi, da cui la famiglia de' Charmiti:	6 Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7 Queste sono le famiglie de' discendenti di Ruben: e si trovò in esse il numero diquarantatré mille settecento trenta uomini.	7 These are the families of the Reubenites: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 Figliuolo di Phallu fu Eliab: e di questo furono figliuoli Namuel, e Dathan, e Abiron:	8 And the sons of Pallu; Eliab.
9 Questi Dathan e Abiron principi del popolo, furon quelli che alzaron bandiera contro Mosé eAronne nella sedizione di Core, quando si ribellarono contro il Signore:	9 And the sons of Eliab; Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. This is that Dathan and Abiram, which were famous in the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against the LORD:
10 E quando spalancatasi la terra inghiottì Core, e perirono moltissimi, allorché il fuocodivorò dugento cinquanta uomini. E avvenne il gran prodigio,	10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11 Che essendo perito Core, non perirono i suoi figliuoli.	11 Notwithstanding the children of Korah died not.

13 Zare, da cui la famiglia de' Zareiti: Saul, da cui la famiglia de' Sauliti:	13 Of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites: of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
14 Queste sono le famiglie de' discendenti di Simeon, nelle quali furono in tutto ventidue miladugento uomini.	14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
15 Figliuoli di Gad secondo le loro famiglie: Sephon, da cui la famiglia de' Sephoniti: Aggi,da cui la famiglia degli Aggiti: Suni, da cui la famiglia de' Suniti:	15 The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites: of Haggi, the family of the Haggites: of Shuni, the family of the Shunites:
16 Ozni, dal quale la famiglia degli Ozniti: Her, da cui la famiglia degli Heriti:	16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites: of Eri, the family of the Erites:
17 Arod, da cui la famiglia degli Aroditi: Ariel, da cui la famiglia degli Arieliti:	17 Of Arod, the family of the Arodites: of Areli, the family of the Arelites.

19 Figliuoli di Giuda Her ed Onan, i quali morirono ambedue nella terra di Canaan.	19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan: and Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan.
20 Altri figliuoli di Giuda secondo le loro famiglie furono: Sela, da cui la famiglia de'Selaiti: Phares, da culla: o famiglia de' Pharesiti: Zare, da cui la famiglia de' Zareiti.	20 And the sons of Judah after their families were; of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites: of Pharez, the family of the Pharzites: of Zerah, the family of the Zarhites.
21 Figliuoli di Phares, Hesron, da cui la famiglia degli Hesroniti: e Hamul, da cui la famigliadegli Hamuliti.	21 And the sons of Pharez were; of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.
22 Queste sono le famiglie di Giuda, nelle quali furono in tutto settantasei mila cinquecentouomini.	22 These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and sixteen thousand and five hundred.
23 Figliuoli d'Issachar secondo le loro famiglie: Thola, da cui la famiglia dei Tholaiti; Phua,da cui la famiglia de' Phuaiti:	23 Of the sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites: of Pua, the family of the Punites:
24 Jasub, da cui la famiglia de' Jasubiti: Semran, da cui la famiglia de' Semraniti.	24 Of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites: of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
25 Queste sono le famiglie d'Issachar, nelle quali furono numero sessantaquattro mila, etrecento uomini.	25 These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and four thousand and three hundred.
26 Figliuoli di Zabulon, secondo le loro famiglie: Sared, da cui la famiglia de' Sarediti:Elon, da cui la famiglia degli Eloniti: Jalel, da cui la famiglia de' Jaleiti:	26 Of the sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites: of Elon, the family of the Elonites: of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.
27 Queste sono le famiglie di Zabulon, nelle quali furono numero sessanta mila cinquecentouomini.	27 These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, threescore thousand and five hundred.
28 Figliuoli di Joseph secondo le loro famiglie Manasse ed Ephraim.	28 The sons of Joseph after their families were Manasseh and Ephraim.
29 Di Manasse nacque Machir, da cui la famiglia dei Machiriti. Machir generò Galaad, da cui lafamiglia dei Galaaditi.	29 Of the sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir begat Gilead: of Gilead come the family of the Gileadites.
30 Figliuoli di Galaad furono Jezer, da cui la famiglia de' Jezeriti; ed Helec, da cui lafamiglia degli Heleciti:	30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Jeezer, the family of the Jeezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:
31 E Asriel, da cui la famiglia degli Asrieliti: e Sechem, da cui la famiglia de' Sechemiti:	31 And of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:
32 E Semida, da cui la famiglia de' Semidaiti: ed Hepher, da cui la famiglia degli Hepheriti.	32 And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.
33 Hepher poi fu padre di Salphaad, il quale non ebbe figliuoli, ma solamente delle figlie, inomi delle quali sono: Maala, e Noa, ed Hegla, e Melcha, e Thersa:	33 And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34 Queste sono le famiglie di Manasse: nelle quali furono numero cinquantadue mila settecento.	34 These are the families of Manasseh, and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
35 Figliuoli di Ephraim secondo le loro famiglie furono: Suthala, da cui la famiglia de'Suthaliti: Becher, da cui la famiglia dei Becheriti: Thehen, da cui la famiglia de'Theheniti:	35 These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthalhites: of Becher, the family of the Bachrites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.
36 Figliuolo di Suthala fu Heran, da cui la famiglia degli Heraniti:	36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites.
37 Queste sono le famiglie de' figliuoli di Ephraim, nelle quali furono numero trentadue milacinquecento uomini.	37 These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38 Questi sono i figliuoli di Giuseppe, distinti nelle loro famiglie. Figliuoli di Beniaminsecondo le loro famiglie: Bela, da cui la famiglia de' Belaiti: Asbel, da cui la famigliadegli Asbeliti: Ahiram, da cui la famiglia degli Ahiramiti:	38 The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites:
39 Supham, da cui la famiglia de' Suphamiti: Hupham, da cui la famiglia degli Huphamiti.	39 Of Shupham, the family of the Shuphamites: of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.
40 Figliuoli di Bela: Hered, e Noeman. Da Hered la famiglia degli Herediti: da Noeman lafamiglia de' Noemaniti:	40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites: and of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.
41 Questi sono i figliuoli di Beniamin secondo le loro famiglie, nelle quali furono numeroquarantacinque mila secento uomini.	41 These are the sons of Benjamin after their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
42 Figliuoli di Dan secondo le loro famiglie: Suham, da cui la famiglia dei Suhamiti: questi idiscendenti di Dan, e la loro famiglia:	42 These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan after their families.

45 Figliuoli di Brie: Heber, da cui la famiglia degli Heberiti e Melchiel, da cui la famigliade' Melchieliti.	45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.
46 E il nome della figlia di Aser fu Sara:	46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Sarah.
47 Queste sono le famiglie de' figliuoli di Aser, nelle quali il numero fu di cinquantatré milaquattrocento uomini.	47 These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them; who were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48 Figliuoli di Nephthali secondo le loro famiglie: Jesiel, da cui la famiglia dei Jesieliti:Guni,da cui la famiglia de' Guniti:	48 Of the sons of Naphtali after their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:
49 Jeser, da cui la famiglia delli Jeseriti: Sellem, da cui la famiglia de' Sellemiti:	49 Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50 Questi sono i discendenti di Nephthali secondo le loro famiglie, nelle quali furonoquarantacinque mila quattrocento uomini.	50 These are the families of Naphtali according to their families: and they that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51 La somma de' figliuoli d'Israele, che furono noverati, ell'è questa: secento un mila, esettecento trenta.	51 These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	52 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
53 A questi sarà divisa la terra secondo il numero de' veri nomi in loro dominio.	53 Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54 Ne darai porzione più grande al maggior numero, minore al più piccolo: sarà data la suapossessione a ciascuno secondo il novero, che ora è stato fatto.	54 To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
55 In tal guisa però, che la terra sarà divisa a sorte tra le tribù e famiglie.	55 Notwithstanding the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56 E quello che porterà la sorte, sarà dato o ai più, o a' meno.	56 According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.
57 Questo parimente è il numero de' figliuoli di Levi secondo le loro famiglie: Gerson, da cuila famiglia dei Gersoniti: Caath, da cui la famiglia de' Caathiti: Merari, da cui lafamiglia dei Merariti:	57 And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58 Queste sono famiglie di Levi: la famiglia di Lobni, la famiglia di Hebroni, la famiglia diMoholi, la famiglia di Musi, la famiglia di Core. Or Caath generò Amram:	58 These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat Amram.
59 Il quale ebbe per moglie Jochabed figlia di Levi, la quale nacque a questo nell'Egitto:questa partorì ad Amram suo marito Aronne, e Mosè, e Maria loro sorella.	59 And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 Da Aronne nacquero Nadab e Abiu, ed Eleazar e Ithamar:	60 And unto Aaron was born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
61 De' quali, Nadab e Abiu morirono, quando offersero fuoco straniero dinanzi al Signore.	61 And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before the LORD.
62 E tutti quelli che furono contati, fecero il numero di ventitré mila maschi da un mese insu: perocché questi non furono messi in nota tra' figliuoli d'Israele, né fu data loropossessione alcuna, come agli altri.	62 And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.
63 Questo è il numero de' figliuoli d'Israele descritti da Mosè, e da Eleazaro sacerdote nellapianura di Moab lungo il Giordano dirimpetto a Gerico:	63 These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.
64 Tra' quali non vi fu nissuno di quelli che erano stati prima noverati da Mosè e da Aronnenel deserto del Sinai.	64 But among these there was not a man of them whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 Perocché il Signore avea predetto, che sarebbono tutti morti nella solitudine. E non nerimase nissuno, eccettuato Caleb figliuolo di Jephone, e Giosuè figliuolo di Nun.	65 For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
