1 Il venticinquesimo anno della nostra deportazione, sul cominciar dell'anno, ai dieci del mese, quattordici anni dopo la rovina della città, in quel medesimo giorno, la mano del Signore fu sopra di me e mi condusse là.	1 In the twenty-fifth year of our transmigration, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck, on this very day, the hand of the Lord was placed upon me, and he brought me to that place.
2 In visioni divine mi condusse nella terra d'Israele, e mi pose sopra un monte altissimo, sul quale appariva costruita una città volta a mezzogiorno.	2 In the visions of God, he brought me into the land of Israel, and he released me on an exceedingly high mountain, on which there was something like the edifice of a city, verging toward the south.
3 Mi fece entrar dentro, ed ecco un uomo che aveva nell'aspetto l'apparenza del bronzo, ed aveva in mano una cordicella di lino e una canna per misurare. Egli stava sulla porta.	3 And he led me into that place. And behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a linen rope in his hand, and a measuring reed in his hand. And he was standing at the gate.
4 Questo medesimo uomo mi disse: « Figlio dell'uomo, mira coi tuoi occhi, ascolta coi tuoi orecchi, ed applica il tuo cuore a tutte le cose che io ti farò vedere, essendo tu condotto qui perchè ti siano mostrate; e tutto quello che vedi annunzialo poi alla casa d'Israele ».	4 And the same man said to me: “Son of man, look with your eyes, and listen with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I will reveal to you. For you have been brought to this place, so that these things may be revealed to you. Announce all that you see to the house of Israel.”
5 Ed ecco che un muro esterno circondava da ogni parte la casa e l'uomo, che aveva in mano una canna della misura di sei cubiti, e un palmo, misurò la larghezza dell'edificio, che era di una canna, e l'altezza, che era pure di una canna.	5 And behold, there was a wall outside of the house, encircling it all around, and in the man’s hand was a measuring reed of six cubits and a palm. And he measured the width of the edifice with one reed; likewise, the height with one reed.
6 Poi venne alla porta che guardava la via orientale, ne salì gli scalini, e misurò la soglia della porta, che era una canna in larghezza, cioè ogni soglia era larga una canna.	6 And he went to the gate which looked toward the east, and he ascended by its steps. And he measured the width of the threshold of the gate as one reed, that is, one threshold was one reed in width.
7 Ed ogni camera era una canna in lunghezza e una in larghezza, e tra una canna e l'altra v'erano cinque cubiti.	7 And a chamber was one reed in length and one reed in width. And between the chambers, there were five cubits.
8 Anche la soglia della porta presso il vestibolo della porta, nell'interno, era di una canna.	8 And the threshold of the gate, next to the inner vestibule of the gate, was one reed.
9 E misurò il vestibolo della porta, che era di otto cubiti, ed aveva la fronte di due cubiti; il vestibolo era al di dentro.	9 And he measured the vestibule of the gate as eight cubits, and its front as two cubits. But the vestibule of the gate was inside.
10 Or le camere alla porta orientale eran tre da un lato e tre dall'altro, e avevan tutt'e tre la medesima misura, e una medesima misura avevan le fronti da ambe le parti.	10 Moreover, the chambers of the gate, toward the way of the east, were three from one side to the other. The three were of one measure, and the fronts were of one measure, on both sides.
11 Poi misurò la larghezza della soglia della porta, che era di dieci cubiti, e la lunghezza della porta, che era di tredici cubiti.	11 And he measured the width of the threshold of the gate as ten cubits, and the length of the gate as thirteen cubits.
12 E davanti alle camere v'era un chiuso d'un cubito, e con un sol cubito finiva dall'una e dall'altra parte, e le camere, che eran di sei cubiti, erandiqua e di là.	12 And before the chambers, the border was one cubit. And on both sides, the border was one cubit. But the chambers were six cubits, from one side to the other.
13 E misurò la porta dal tetto di una camera fino al tetto dell'altra, venticinque cubiti di larghezza, le porte eran di faccia alle porte.	13 And he measured the gate, from the roof of one chamber to the roof of another, twenty-five cubits in width, from door to door.
14 E fece le facciate per sessanta cubiti, e davanti alla facciata v'era l'atrio della porta tutt'all'intorno.	14 And he found the fronts to be sixty cubits. And at the front, there was a court for the gate on every side all around.
15 E dalla facciata della porta alla facciata del vestibolo della porta interiore v'eran cinquanta cubiti.	15 And before the face of the gate, which extended even to the face of the vestibule of the gate of the interior, there were fifty cubits.
16 E (misurò) le finestre oblique nelle camere e nelle loro facciate, che eran dentro la porta da ogni parte all'intorno. Cosi pure nei vestiboli v'erano delle finestre al di dentro tutt'aill'intorno, e davanti alle facciate vi erano delle palme scolpite.	16 And there were slanting windows in the chambers and at their fronts, which were within the gate on every side all around. And similarly, there were also windows in the vestibules all around the interior, and there were images of palm trees before the fronts.
17 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio esteriore, e vidi delle camere, e nell'atrio il pavimento era lastricato a pietre tutt'all'intorno e vi erano trenta stanze intorno al pavimento.	17 And he led me away to the outer court, and behold, there were storerooms and a layer of pavement stones throughout the court. Thirty storerooms encircled the pavement.
18 E il pavimento di faccia alle porte era più basso, secondo la lunghezza delle porte.	18 And the pavement in front of the gates, along the length of the gates, was lower.
19 E misurò la larghezza dalla facciata della porta inferiore fino alla facciata dell'atrio interiore, dalla parte di fuori: cento cubiti, ad oriente e a settentrione.	19 And he measured the width, from the face of the lower gate to the front of the outer part of the inner court, to be one hundred cubits, to the east and to the north.
20 Anche la porta dell'atrio esteriore, che guardava a settentrione, la misurò nella lunghezza e nella larghezza.	20 Likewise, he measured the gate of the outer court, which looked to the way of the north, to be as much in length as in width.
21 E le sue camere, tre da una parte e tre dall'altra, e la sua facciata e il suo vestibolo avevan le misure della prima porta: cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	21 And its chambers were three from one side to the other. And its front and its vestibule, in accord with the measure of the former gate, were fifty cubits in its length and twenty-five cubits in width.
22 Le sue finestre, il vestibolo e le sculture avevan le medesime misure della porta che guardava ad oriente: vi si saliva per sette gradini, ed aveva davanti un vestibolo.	22 Now its windows, and the vestibule, and the engravings were in accord with the measure of the gate which looked to the east. And its ascent was by seven steps, and a vestibule was before it.
23 E la porta dell'atrio interiore era di faccia alla porta settentrionale e a quella orientale; e dall'una all'altra porta misurò cento cubiti.	23 And the gate of the inner court was opposite the gate of the north, and that of the east. And he measured from gate to gate as one hundred cubits.
24 Poi mi condusse dalla parte di mezzogiorno e ne misurò la facciata e il vestibolo, che avevan le misure come sopra.	24 And he led me to the way of the south, and behold, there was a gate which looked toward the south. And he measured its front and its vestibule to be the same as the measures above.
25 E (misurò) le sue finestre e i vestiboli all'intorno, che eran come le altre finestre, cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	25 And its windows and the vestibule all around were like the other windows: fifty cubits in length and twenty-five cubits in width.
26 Vi si saliva per sette gradini ed aveva di faccia il vestibolo, e nella sua facciata v'eran di qua e di là delle palme scolpite.	26 And there were seven steps to ascend to it, and a vestibule before its doors. And there were engraved palm trees, one on each side, at its front.
27 E vi era pure la porta dell'atrio interiore dalla parte del mezzogiorno, e da una porta all'altra, dalla parte del mezzogiorno, misurò cento cubiti.	27 And there was a gate at the inner court, on the way to the south. And he measured from one gate to another, on the way to the south, to be one hundred cubits.
28 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio interiore alla porta del mezzogiorno, e misurò la porta, che aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	28 And he led me into the inner court, to the south gate. And he measured the gate to be in accord with the measures above.
29 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo avevan le medesime misure. Le sue finestre e il suo vestibolo avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	29 Its chamber, and its front, and its vestibule had the same measures. And its windows and its vestibule all around were fifty cubits in length, and twenty-five cubits in width.
30 Il vestibolo, che girava all'intorno, era lungo venticinque cubiti e largo cinque.	30 And the vestibule all around was twenty-five cubits in length, and five cubits in width.
31 E il suo vestibolo menava all'atrio esteriore: aveva delle palme nella facciata, e saliva per otto gradini.	31 And its vestibule was toward the outer court, and its palm trees were at the front. And there were eight steps to ascend to it.
32 Poi mi fece entrare nell'atrio interiore dalla parte orientale, e misurò la porta, che aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	32 And he led me into the inner court, along the way of the east. And he measured the gate to be in accord with the measures above.
33 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo come sopra, e le sue finestre e il suo vestibolo all'intorno avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque in larghezza.	33 Its chamber, and its front, and its vestibule were as above. And its windows and its vestibules all around were fifty cubits in length, and twenty-five cubits in width.
34 E (misurò) il vestibolo, quello dell'atrio esteriore; aveva sulla facciata, di qua e di là, palme' scolpite, e vi si saliva per otto gradini.	34 And it had a vestibule, that is, at the outer court. And the engraved palm trees at its front were on one side and the other. And its ascent was by eight steps.
35 Poi mi condusse alla porta che guardava a settentrione e la misurò, aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	35 And he led me to the gate which looked toward the north. And he measured it to be in accord with the measures above.
36 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo, e le sue finestre all'intorno avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	36 Its chamber, and its front, and its vestibule, and its windows all around were fifty cubits in length, and twenty-five cubits in width.
37 Il suo vestibolo guardava l'atrio esteriore: aveva nella facciata di qua e di là, palme scolpite, e vi si saliva per otto gradini.	37 And its vestibule looked toward the outer court. And an engraving of palm trees at its front was on one side and the other. And its ascent was by eight steps.
38 Ed ogni camera aveva un'entrata nelle facciate delle porte: ivi lavavano l'olocausto.	38 And at each one of the storerooms, there was a door at the front of the gates. There, they washed the holocaust.
39 Nel vestibolo della porta v'erano due tavole da una parte e due tavole dall'altra, per immolare sopra di esse l'olocausto e per il peccato e per il delitto.	39 And at the vestibule of the gate, there were two tables on one side, and two tables on the other side, so that the holocaust, and the offering for sin, and the offering for transgression could be immolated upon them.
40 E dal lato esteriore, che sale all'ingresso della porta che guarda a settentrione, v'eran due tavole, e dall'altro lato, davanti al vestibolo della porta, due tavole.	40 And at the outer side, which ascends to the door of the gate that goes toward the north, there were two tables. And at the other side, before the vestibule of the gate, there were two tables.
41 Così ai lati della porta v'eran quattro tavole da una parte e quattro tavole dall'altra, otto tavole sulle quali immolavano.	41 Four tables were on one side, and four tables were on the other side; along the sides of the gate, there were eight tables, upon which they immolated.
42 V'erano pure quattro tavole per l'olocausto, fatte di pietre quadrate, lunghe un cubito e mezzo, larghe un cubito e mezzo ed alte un cubito, per mettervi sopra i vasi usati nell'immolare l'olocausto e la vittima.	42 Now the four tables for the holocausts were constructed of square stones: one and a half cubit in length, and one and a half cubits in width, and one cubit in height. Upon these, they placed the vessels, in which the holocaust and the victim were immolated.
43 E avevano tutt'all'intorno delle cornici che si ripiegavano verso la parte interiore, e sopra le tavole eran poste le carni dell'oblazione.	43 And their edges were one palm in width, turned inward all around. And the flesh of the oblation was on the tables.
44 E fuori della porta interiore v'eran le camere dei cantori, nell'atrio interiore che era a lato della porta settentrionale: le loro facciate guardavano una dalla parte del mezzogiorno, l'altra dalla parte della porta orientale che guardava settentrione.	44 And outside the interior gate, there were storerooms for the cantors, in the inner court, which was beside the gate that looks toward the north. And their face was opposite the way to the south; one was beside the east gate, which looked toward the way of the north.
45 E mi disse: « Questa camera che guarda mezzogiorno sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano a guardia del tempio;	45 And he said to me: “This is the storeroom that looks toward the south; it shall be for the priests who keep watch for the protection of the temple.
46 invece la camera che guarda a settentrione sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano al servizio dell'altare: questi sono i figli di Sadoc, i quali, tra i figli di Levi, si avvicinano al Signore per servirlo ».	46 Moreover, the storeroom that looks toward the north will be for the priests who keep watch over the ministry of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, those among the sons of Levi who may draw near to the Lord, so that they may minister to him.”
47 Poi misurò l'atrio, che era quadrato, cento cubiti in lunghezza e cento cubiti in larghezza. L'altare era davanti alla facciata del tempio.	47 And he measured the court to be one hundred cubits in length, and one hundred cubits in width, with four equal sides. And the altar was before the face of the temple.
48 Poi m'introdusse nel vestibolo del tempio, e misurò il vestibolo, cinque cubiti da un lato e cinque cubiti dall'altro, e la larghezza della porta era di tre cubiti da una parte e di tre cubiti dall'altra.	48 And he led me into the vestibule of the temple. And he measured the vestibule to be five cubits on one side, and five cubits on the other side. And the width of the gate was three cubits on one side, and three cubits on the other side.
49 La lunghezza del vestibolo era di venti cubiti e la larghezza di undici cubiti, e vi si saliva per otto scalini; e nella facciata v'eran due colonne, una da una parte e una dall'altra.	49 Now the length of the vestibule was twenty cubits, and the width was eleven cubits, and there were eight steps to ascend to it. And there were pillars at the front, one on this side and another on that side.
