1 Il venticinquesimo anno della nostra deportazione, sul cominciar dell'anno, ai dieci del mese, quattordici anni dopo la rovina della città, in quel medesimo giorno, la mano del Signore fu sopra di me e mi condusse là.	1 In the twenty-fifth year of our captivity, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth day of the month,fourteen years to the day from the capture of the city, the hand of Yahweh was on me. He carried me away:
2 In visioni divine mi condusse nella terra d'Israele, e mi pose sopra un monte altissimo, sul quale appariva costruita una città volta a mezzogiorno.	2 in divine visions, he carried me away to the land of Israel and put me down on a very high mountain,on the south of which there seemed to be built a city.
3 Mi fece entrar dentro, ed ecco un uomo che aveva nell'aspetto l'apparenza del bronzo, ed aveva in mano una cordicella di lino e una canna per misurare. Egli stava sulla porta.	3 He took me to it, and there I saw a man, whose appearance was like brass. He had a flax cord and ameasuring rod in his hand and was standing in the gateway.
4 Questo medesimo uomo mi disse: « Figlio dell'uomo, mira coi tuoi occhi, ascolta coi tuoi orecchi, ed applica il tuo cuore a tutte le cose che io ti farò vedere, essendo tu condotto qui perchè ti siano mostrate; e tutto quello che vedi annunzialo poi alla casa d'Israele ».	4 The man said to me, 'Son of man, look careful y, listen closely and pay attention to everything I showyou, since you have been brought here only for me to show it to you. Tel the House of Israel everything that yousee.'
5 Ed ecco che un muro esterno circondava da ogni parte la casa e l'uomo, che aveva in mano una canna della misura di sei cubiti, e un palmo, misurò la larghezza dell'edificio, che era di una canna, e l'altezza, che era pure di una canna.	5 Now, the Temple was surrounded on all sides by an outer wall. The man was holding a measuring rodsix cubits long, each cubit a forearm and a handsbreadth. He measured the thickness of this construction -- onerod; and its height -- one rod.
6 Poi venne alla porta che guardava la via orientale, ne salì gli scalini, e misurò la soglia della porta, che era una canna in larghezza, cioè ogni soglia era larga una canna.	6 He went to the east gate, climbed the steps and measured its threshold: one rod deep.
7 Ed ogni camera era una canna in lunghezza e una in larghezza, e tra una canna e l'altra v'erano cinque cubiti.	7 Each guardroom one rod by one rod; and the piers between the guardrooms five cubits thick, and thethreshold of the gate inwards from the porch of the gate: one rod.
8 Anche la soglia della porta presso il vestibolo della porta, nell'interno, era di una canna.	8
9 E misurò il vestibolo della porta, che era di otto cubiti, ed aveva la fronte di due cubiti; il vestibolo era al di dentro.	9 He measured the porch of the gate: eight cubits; its piers: two cubits; the porch of the gate was at theinner end.
10 Or le camere alla porta orientale eran tre da un lato e tre dall'altro, e avevan tutt'e tre la medesima misura, e una medesima misura avevan le fronti da ambe le parti.	10 There were three guardrooms on each side of the east gate, al three of the same size; the piersbetween them al of the same thickness each side.
11 Poi misurò la larghezza della soglia della porta, che era di dieci cubiti, e la lunghezza della porta, che era di tredici cubiti.	11 He measured the width of the entrance: ten cubits; and the width al down the gateway: thirteencubits.
12 E davanti alle camere v'era un chiuso d'un cubito, e con un sol cubito finiva dall'una e dall'altra parte, e le camere, che eran di sei cubiti, erandiqua e di là.	12 There was a rail in front of the guardrooms; each rail on either side was one cubit. And theguardrooms on either side were six cubits square.
13 E misurò la porta dal tetto di una camera fino al tetto dell'altra, venticinque cubiti di larghezza, le porte eran di faccia alle porte.	13 He measured the width of the gate from the back wal of one guardroom to the back wall of the other;it was twenty-five cubits across, the openings being opposite each other.
14 E fece le facciate per sessanta cubiti, e davanti alla facciata v'era l'atrio della porta tutt'all'intorno.	14 He measured the porch: twenty cubits; the court surrounded the gate on al sides.
15 E dalla facciata della porta alla facciata del vestibolo della porta interiore v'eran cinquanta cubiti.	15 From the front of the entrance gate, to the far end of the porch of the inner gate: fifty cubits.
16 E (misurò) le finestre oblique nelle camere e nelle loro facciate, che eran dentro la porta da ogni parte all'intorno. Cosi pure nei vestiboli v'erano delle finestre al di dentro tutt'aill'intorno, e davanti alle facciate vi erano delle palme scolpite.	16 Al round inside the gate there were trel ised windows in the guardrooms and in their piers; similarly,in the porch there were windows all round and palm trees on the piers.
17 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio esteriore, e vidi delle camere, e nell'atrio il pavimento era lastricato a pietre tutt'all'intorno e vi erano trenta stanze intorno al pavimento.	17 He then took me to the outer court, which had rooms and a paved terrace going all the way round;there were thirty rooms on this terrace.
18 E il pavimento di faccia alle porte era più basso, secondo la lunghezza delle porte.	18 This terrace, which came up to the sides of the gates and matched their depth, was the LowerTerrace. He measured the width of the court,
19 E misurò la larghezza dalla facciata della porta inferiore fino alla facciata dell'atrio interiore, dalla parte di fuori: cento cubiti, ad oriente e a settentrione.	19 from the front of the lower gate to the fac ade of the inner court, outside: a hundred cubits (on theeast and on the north).
20 Anche la porta dell'atrio esteriore, che guardava a settentrione, la misurò nella lunghezza e nella larghezza.	20 He measured the length and breadth of the north gate of the outer court.
21 E le sue camere, tre da una parte e tre dall'altra, e la sua facciata e il suo vestibolo avevan le misure della prima porta: cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	21 It had three guardrooms on each side; its piers and porch were of the same size as those of the firstgate: fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
22 Le sue finestre, il vestibolo e le sculture avevan le medesime misure della porta che guardava ad oriente: vi si saliva per sette gradini, ed aveva davanti un vestibolo.	22 Its windows, its porch and its palm trees were of the same size as those of the east gate. There were seven steps up to it, and its porch was at the inner end.
23 E la porta dell'atrio interiore era di faccia alla porta settentrionale e a quella orientale; e dall'una all'altra porta misurò cento cubiti.	23 In the inner court there was, opposite the north gate, a gate like the one opposite the east gate. Hemeasured the distance from one gate to the other: a hundred cubits.
24 Poi mi condusse dalla parte di mezzogiorno e ne misurò la facciata e il vestibolo, che avevan le misure come sopra.	24 He took me to the south side where there was a south gate; he measured its guardrooms, piers andporch; they were of the same size as the others.
25 E (misurò) le sue finestre e i vestiboli all'intorno, che eran come le altre finestre, cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	25 The gateway, as wel as its porch, had windows al round, like the windows of the others; it was fiftycubits long and twenty-five cubits wide,
26 Vi si saliva per sette gradini ed aveva di faccia il vestibolo, e nella sua facciata v'eran di qua e di là delle palme scolpite.	26 and it had seven steps up to it; its porch was at the inner end and had palm trees on its piers, one oneither side.
27 E vi era pure la porta dell'atrio interiore dalla parte del mezzogiorno, e da una porta all'altra, dalla parte del mezzogiorno, misurò cento cubiti.	27 The inner court had a south gate; he measured the distance southwards from one gate to the other: ahundred cubits.
28 Poi mi condusse nell'atrio interiore alla porta del mezzogiorno, e misurò la porta, che aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	28 He then took me into the inner court by the south gate; he measured the south gate which was of thesame size as the others.
29 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo avevan le medesime misure. Le sue finestre e il suo vestibolo avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	29 Its guardrooms, piers and porch were of the same size as the others.
30 Il vestibolo, che girava all'intorno, era lungo venticinque cubiti e largo cinque.	30 The gateway, as wel as its porch, had windows al round; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-fivecubits wide.
31 E il suo vestibolo menava all'atrio esteriore: aveva delle palme nella facciata, e saliva per otto gradini.	31 The porch gave on to the outer court. It had palm trees on its piers and eight steps leading up to it.
32 Poi mi fece entrare nell'atrio interiore dalla parte orientale, e misurò la porta, che aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	32 He took me to the eastern part of the inner court and measured the gate. It was of the same size asthe others.
33 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo come sopra, e le sue finestre e il suo vestibolo all'intorno avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque in larghezza.	33 Its guardrooms, piers and porch were of the same size as the others. The gateway, as well as itsporch, had windows al round; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
34 E (misurò) il vestibolo, quello dell'atrio esteriore; aveva sulla facciata, di qua e di là, palme' scolpite, e vi si saliva per otto gradini.	34 Its porch gave on to the outer court. There were palm trees on its piers on either side and eight stepsleading up to it.
35 Poi mi condusse alla porta che guardava a settentrione e la misurò, aveva le medesime misure come sopra.	35 He then took me to the north gate and measured it.
36 La sua camera, la sua facciata, il suo vestibolo, e le sue finestre all'intorno avevan cinquanta cubiti in lunghezza e venticinque cubiti in larghezza.	36 Its guardrooms, piers and porch were of the same size as the others. The gateway had windows alround; it was fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits wide.
37 Il suo vestibolo guardava l'atrio esteriore: aveva nella facciata di qua e di là, palme scolpite, e vi si saliva per otto gradini.	37 Its porch gave on to the outer court. There were palm trees on its piers on either side and eight stepsleading up to it.
38 Ed ogni camera aveva un'entrata nelle facciate delle porte: ivi lavavano l'olocausto.	38 There was a room, the entrance to which was in the porch of the gateway, where they washed theburnt offerings.
39 Nel vestibolo della porta v'erano due tavole da una parte e due tavole dall'altra, per immolare sopra di esse l'olocausto e per il peccato e per il delitto.	39 And inside the porch of the gateway were slabs, two on either side, for slaughtering the burntofferings, the sacrifice for sin and the sacrifice of reparation.
40 E dal lato esteriore, che sale all'ingresso della porta che guarda a settentrione, v'eran due tavole, e dall'altro lato, davanti al vestibolo della porta, due tavole.	40 Outside, at the approach to the entrance of the north gate, were two slabs, and on the other side, atthe porch end of the gate were two slabs.
41 Così ai lati della porta v'eran quattro tavole da una parte e quattro tavole dall'altra, otto tavole sulle quali immolavano.	41 There were four slabs on one side and four slabs on the other side of the gateway, eight slabs in all,on which the slaughtering was done.
42 V'erano pure quattro tavole per l'olocausto, fatte di pietre quadrate, lunghe un cubito e mezzo, larghe un cubito e mezzo ed alte un cubito, per mettervi sopra i vasi usati nell'immolare l'olocausto e la vittima.	42 There were also four slabs of dressed stone for the burnt offerings, a cubit and a half long, a cubitand a half wide and a cubit high, on which the instruments for slaughtering the burnt offerings and sacrifice wereplaced;
43 E avevano tutt'all'intorno delle cornici che si ripiegavano verso la parte interiore, e sopra le tavole eran poste le carni dell'oblazione.	43 runnels a handsbreadth wide went al round the top, and on these slabs was put the sacrificial flesh.
44 E fuori della porta interiore v'eran le camere dei cantori, nell'atrio interiore che era a lato della porta settentrionale: le loro facciate guardavano una dalla parte del mezzogiorno, l'altra dalla parte della porta orientale che guardava settentrione.	44 Then he took me into the inner court; there were two rooms in the inner court, one on the side of thenorth gate, facing south, the other on the side of the south gate, facing north.
45 E mi disse: « Questa camera che guarda mezzogiorno sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano a guardia del tempio;	45 He told me, 'The room looking south is for the priests responsible for the service of the Temple,
46 invece la camera che guarda a settentrione sarà pei sacerdoti che vegliano al servizio dell'altare: questi sono i figli di Sadoc, i quali, tra i figli di Levi, si avvicinano al Signore per servirlo ».	46 and the room looking north is for the priests responsible for the service of the altar. These are thesons of Zadok, those of the sons of Levi who approach Yahweh to serve him.'
47 Poi misurò l'atrio, che era quadrato, cento cubiti in lunghezza e cento cubiti in larghezza. L'altare era davanti alla facciata del tempio.	47 He measured the court; it was a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide, a square with thealtar standing in front of the Temple.
48 Poi m'introdusse nel vestibolo del tempio, e misurò il vestibolo, cinque cubiti da un lato e cinque cubiti dall'altro, e la larghezza della porta era di tre cubiti da una parte e di tre cubiti dall'altra.	48 He took me to the Ulam of the Temple and measured the piers of the Ulam: five cubits either side;and the width of the entrance was three cubits either side.
49 La lunghezza del vestibolo era di venti cubiti e la larghezza di undici cubiti, e vi si saliva per otto scalini; e nella facciata v'eran due colonne, una da una parte e una dall'altra.	49 The length of the Ulam was twenty cubits and its width twelve cubits. There were ten steps leadingup to it, and there were columns by the piers, one on either side.
