Isaia 50

BIBBIA TINTORI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Queste cose dice il Signore: « Che è questo libello di ripudio della vostra madre, col quale l'ho mandata via? o chi è il mio creditore al quale vi ho venduti? ecco per le vostre iniquità siete stati venduti, e per le vostre scelleratezze ho ripudiata la vostra madre.	1 Thus saith the Lord: What is this bill of the divorce of your mother, with which I have put her away? or who is my creditor, to whom I sold you: behold you are sold for your iniquities, and for your wicked deeds have I put your mother away.
2 Io venni, e nonv'era nessuno, io chiamai, e nessuno rispose. E' forse, accorciata e divenuta piccola la mia mano, chè non possa riscattarvi, e può essere che non abbia forza per liberarvi? ecco, colle mie sgridate ridurrò a deserto il mare, metterò a secco fiumi; senz'acqua i pesci marciranno e periranno di sete.	2 Because I came, and there was not a man: I called, and there was none that would hear. Is my hand shortened and become little, that I cannot redeem? or is there no strength in me to deliver? Behold at my rebuke I will make the sea a desert, I will turn the rivers into dry land: the fishes shall rot for want of water, and shall die for thirst.
3 Vestirò a nero i cieli, e li coprirò di cilizio.	3 I will clothe the heavens with darkness, and will make sackcloth their covering.
4 Il Signore mi ha donato una lingua erudita, affinchè sostenga colla parola gli stanchi, egli mi tiene erette ogni mattina, mi tiene erette le orecchie, affinchè l'a­AIA li 2 scolti come maestro.	4 The Lord hath given me a learned tongue, that I should know how to uphold by word him that is weary: he wakeneth in the morning, in the morning he wakeneth my ear, that I may hear him as a master.
5 Il Signore Dio m'ha aperto l'orecchio, ed io non resisto, non mi ritiro indietro.	5 The Lord God hath opened my ear, and I do not resist: I have not gone back.
6 Ho abbandonato il mio corpo ai percotitori, le mie guance a chi mi strappa la barba, non ho allontanata la faccia da chi mi oltraggiava, da chi mi sputacchiava.	6 I have given my body to the strikers, and my cheeks to them that plucked them: I have not turned away my face from them that rebuked me, and spit upon me.
7 Il Signore Dio è mio aiuto, per questo non sono stato confuso, per questo ho ridotta la mia faccia come pietra durissima, e so di non rimaner confuso.	7 The Lord God is my helper, therefore am I not confounded: therefore have I set my face as a most hard rock, and I know that I shall not be confounded.
8 Mi sta vicino colui che mi giustifica: chi mi contraddirà? Presentiamoci insieme! Chi è il mio avversario? Si accosti a me!	8 He is near that justifieth me, who will contend with me? let us stand together, who is my adversary? let him come near to me.
9 Ecco, il Signore Dio è mio aiuto: chi è che possa condannarmi? Ecco tutti saran consumati come un vestito, li mangerà la tignola.	9 Behold the Lord God is my helper: who is he that shall condemn me? Lo, they shall all be destroyed as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.
10 Chi è tra voi che tema il Signore e ascolti la voce del suo servo? Chi cammina nelle tenebre ed è senza luce speri nel nome del Signore e si appoggi al suo Dio.	10 Who is there among you that feareth the Lord, that heareth the voice of his servant, that hath walked in darkness, and hath no light? let him hope in the name of the Lord, and lean upon his God.
11 Ecco, voi tutti che accendete il fuoco, ravvolti nelle fiamme, camminate al lume del vostro fuoco, tra le fiamme da voi accese. Questo è stato fatto a voi dalla mia mano, e voi dormirete in mezzo ai dolori.	11 Behold all you that kindle a fire, encompassed with dames, walk in the light of your fire, and in the dames which you have kindled: this is done to you by my hand, you shall sleep in sorrows.
