Isaia 31

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Guai a coloro che scendono in Egitto a cercare aiuti, e sperano nei cavalli, ed han fiducia nei cocchi, che son molti, e nei cavalieri, chè sono oltremodo vigorosi; e non han posta la loro fiducia nel Santo d'Israele, non han cercato del Signore.	1 Woe to those going down to Egypt for help, who put their trust in horses, who rely on the quantity ofchariots, and on great strength of cavalrymen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult Yahweh.
2 Ma egli, il sapiente, ha fatto venire i disastri e non ha revocate le sue parole, e si alzerà contro la casa dei perversi, contro l'aiuto degli operatori d'iniquità.	2 Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster and he wil not go back on his word; he wil rise against thebreed of evil-doers and against those who protect wrong-doers.
3 L'Egitto è uomo e non Dio, i suoi cavalli son carne e non spirito, il Signore stenderà la sua mano, e chi porge aiuto rovinerà, chi è aiutato cadrà, e saranno annientati tutti insieme.	3 The Egyptian is human, not divine, his horses are flesh, not spirit; Yahweh wil stretch out his hand: theprotector wil stumble, the protected wil fal and all wil perish together.
4 Perchè queste cose mi dice il Signore: « Come un leone ruggente e un leoncello sopra la sua preda, anche se va contro di lui una moltitudine di pastori, non si spaventa alle loro voci, non ha paura del loro numero, così il Signore degli eserciti scenderà a combattere sopra il monte di Sion, sopra la sua collina.	4 Yes, this is what Yahweh has said to me: As a lion or lion cub growls over its prey, when scores ofshepherds are summoned to drive it off, without being frightened by their shouting or cowed by the noise theymake, just so will Yahweh Sabaoth descend to fight for Mount Zion and for its hil .
5 Come gli uccelli, svolazzando (il nido), così il Signore degli eserciti proteggerà Gerusalemme, la proteggerà, la libererà, passerà e la salverà.	5 Like hovering birds, so wil Yahweh Sabaoth protect Jerusalem; by protecting it, he will save it, bysupporting it, he wil deliver it.
6 Ritornate a lui, come vi siete allontanati nell'abisso, o figli d'Israele.	6 Come back to the one whom the Israelites have so deeply betrayed!
7 In quel giorno ognuno getterà via i suoi idoli d'argento, i suoi idoli d'oro, che vi fecero le vostre mani per peccare,	7 For, that day, each of you wil throw away the false gods of silver and the false gods of gold which yourown sinful hands have made.
8 e Assur cadrà per una spada che non è di uomo, e la spada che non è di uomo lo divorerà, e fuggirà, non davanti alla spada, e la sua gioventù pagherà il tributo.	8 Assyria will fal by the sword, not that of a man, wil be devoured by the sword, of no human being, hewil flee before the sword and his young warriors will be enslaved.
9 E la sua forza sarà cacciata via dal terrore, e i suoi principi fuggiranno spaventati — dice il Signore, che ha il suo fuoco in Sion, e il suo focolare in Gerusalemme.	9 In his terror he wil abandon his rock, and his panic-stricken officers desert the standard -- declaresYahweh, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace, in Jerusalem.
