1 (Pel primo giorno della settimana. Salmo di David). Del Signore è la terra e tutto ciò che essa contiene, il mondo con tutti i suoi abitatori.	1 For the First Sabbath. A Psalm of David. The earth and all its fullness belong to the Lord: the whole world and all that dwells in it.
2 Perchè egli l'ha fondata sopra i mari e l'ha stabilita sui fiumi.	2 For he has founded it upon the seas, and he has prepared it upon the rivers.
3 « Chi può salire al monte del Signore, chi stare nel suo santuario? »	3 Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord? And who will stand in his holy place?
4 « Chi ha senza macchia le mani e puro il cuore, chi non ha ricevuto invano l'anima sua e non ha giurato per ingannare il prossimo ».	4 The innocent of hands and the clean of heart, who has not received his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbor.
5 Questi avrà la benedizione dal Signore e misericordia da Dio suo salvatore.	5 He will receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God, his Saviour.
6 Tale è la generazione di coloro che lo cercano, che cercano la faccia del Dio di Giacobbe.	6 This is the generation that seeks him, that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.
7 « Alzate, o principi, le vostre porte, e voi apritevi, o porte eterne, ed entrerà il re della gloria ».	7 Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.
8 « Chi è questo re della gloria? » « Il Signore forte e potente, il Signore forte nelle battaglie ».	8 Who is this King of Glory? The Lord who is strong and powerful; the Lord powerful in battle.
9 « Alzate, o principi, le vostre porte, e voi apritevi, o porte eterne, ed entrerà il re della gloria ».	9 Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.
10 « Chi è questo re della gloria?» « Il Signore degli eserciti, Egli è il re della gloria ».	10 Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of virtue. He himself is the King of Glory.
