3 Fino a quando avrà il sopravvento su di me il tuo nemico?	3 May Yahweh cut away every smooth lip, every boastful tongue,
4 Volgi a me il tuo sguardo ed esaudiscimi, o Signore, mio Dio. Illumina gli occhi miei, affinchè io non m'addormenti mai nella morte,	4 those who say, 'In our tongue lies our strength, our lips are our al ies; who can master us?'
5 Affinchè il mio nemico non dica mai: « L'ho vinto! » I miei avversari esulteranno s'io vacillo;	5 'For the poor who are plundered, the needy who groan, now wil I act,' says Yahweh, 'I wil grantsalvation to those who sigh for it.'
6 Ma io ho riposta ogni mia speranza nella tua grazia.
