1 Fece anche un altare di rame, lungo venti cubiti, largo venti cubiti, alto dieci cubiti.	1 He made a bronze altar, twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.
2 Fece il mare di getto, che aveva dieci cubiti, da un orlo all'altro, era perfettamente rotondo, era alto cinque cubiti. Una corda di trenta cubiti abbracciava tutta la sua circonferenza;	2 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.

I buoi eran di getto.	3 Under it and completely encircling it were things like oxen, ten to the cubit round the entire Sea; theoxen were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.
4 Il mare posava sopra dodici buoi, dei quali tre erari volti a settentrione, tre a occidente, tre a mezzodì e gli ultimi tre a levante. Essi sostenevano il mare e le loro parti posteriori eran di dentro sotto il mare.	4 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.
5 Il mare aveva lo spessore d'un palmo, il suo orlo era come quello d'un calice o di un giglio sbocciato, e conteneva tre mila metrete.	5 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup-lily-shaped. It couldhold three thousand bat.
6 Fece anche dieci conche, e ne collocò cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra, per lavarvi tutto quel­lo che doveva essere offerto in olocausto; nel mare poi ci si lavavano i sacerdoti.	6 He made ten basins, putting five on the right and five on the left, for washing in; the things to be offeredas burnt offerings were to be rinsed in these, but the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
7 Fece anche dieci candelabri d'oro secondo la forma prescritta, e li pose nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra.	7 He made the ten golden lamp-stands according to the pattern and placed them in the Hekal, five on theright and five on the left.
8 Così pure dieci mense, e le collocò nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra; ed anche cento fiale d'oro.	8 He made ten tables which he set up in the Hekal, five on the right and five on the left. He also made ahundred golden sprinkling bowls.
9 Fece inoltre l'atrio pei sacerdoti e il gran portico, e, nel portico, le porte, che rivestì di rame.	9 He made the court of the priests and the great court with its gates and plated the gates with bronze.
10 Il mare lo collocò dal lato destro verso levante, dalla parte meridionale.	10 The Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south-east.

14 Fece anche le basi e le conche che pose sopra le basi,	14 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands;
15 e il mare unico, i dodici buoi che eran sotto il mare,	15 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath it;

20 Fece pure d'oro finissimo i candelabri colle lampade, per far lume dinanzi all'oracolo, secondo il rito,	20 the lamp-stands with their lamps to burn, as prescribed, in front of the Debir, of pure gold;
21 e così pure i fiori, le lucerne e le molle d'oro. Tutte que­ste cose furon fatte d'oro finissimo.	21 the floral work, the lamps, the tongs, of gold (and it was pure gold);
22 Anche i braceri, i turiboli, le coppe e i mortai eran di oro finissimo. Le porte del tempio interiore, cioè del Santo dei Santi, eran d'intaglio; e le porte del tempio al di fuori eran d'oro. Così fu compiuto tutto il lavoro che Salomone fece nella casa del Si­gnore.	22 the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; and the entrance to theTemple, the inner doors (for the Holy of Holies) and the doors of the Temple itself, that is of the Hekal, were alsomade of gold.
