1 Or avvenne che l'anno dopo, al tempo in cui i re sogliono andare alla guerra, Gioab radunò l'esercito e il nerbo dei soldati, devastò il paese dei figli di Ammon e, avanzando, assediò Rabba; ma David restò in Gerusalemme. Quando Gioab espugnò e distrusse Rabba,	1 At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, Joab led out the troops and, havingravaged the Ammonites' territory, proceeded to lay siege to Rabbah.
