Ezechiele 11

1 - E lo spirito mi sollevò e mi trasportò alla porta orientale della casa del Signore che guardava contro il sol nascente, ed ecco all'ingresso della porta, venticinque uomini e in mezzo ad essi vidi Jezonia, figlio di Azur e Peltia figlio di Banaia, principi del popolo.	1 And the Spirit lifted me up, and he brought me to the east gate of the house of the Lord, which looks toward the rising of the sun. And behold, at the entrance to the gate were twenty-five men. And I saw, in their midst, Jaazaniah, the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
2 E mi disse: «Figlio dell'uomo, sono questi i macchinatori di disegni iniqui, i suggeritori di pessimi consigli nella città,	2 And he said to me: “Son of man, these are men who devise iniquity. And they offer a wicked counsel in this city,
3 che vanno dicendo: - Non si sono forse fabbricate delle case anche da poco tempo? Questa è la caldaia e noi siamo le carni! -	3 saying: ‘Was it so long ago that houses were being built? This city is a cooking pot, and we are the meat.’
4 Perciò pronuncia una predizione su di loro, un vaticinio, o figlio dell'uomo».	4 Therefore, prophesy against them, prophesy, O son of man.”
5 E mi invase lo spirito del Signore e mi disse: «Parla; così dice il Signore: - Voi avete parlato così e così, casa d'Israele, ed io ho conosciuto i pensieri del vostro cuore.	5 And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and he said to me: “Speak: Thus says the Lord: So have you spoken, O house of Israel. And I know the thoughts of your heart.
6 Voi avete trucidato tanta gente in questa città e avete riempite le sue strade di uccisi. -	6 You have killed very many in this city, and you have filled its streets with the slain.
7 Perciò così dice il Signore Dio: - Gli uccisi da voi, che avete disseminato in mezzo alla città, sono le carni e la città è la caldaia, ma voi vi tirerò fuori da essa.	7 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Your slain, whom you have placed in its midst, these are the meat, and this city is the cooking pot. And I will draw you out of its midst.
8 V'incute terrore la spada e io farò piombare la spada su di voi, dice il Signore,	8 You have dread the sword, and so I will lead the sword over you, says the Lord God.
9 e vi farò uscire di mezzo ad essa e vi darò in mano dei nemici e agirò a rigor di giustizia.	9 And I will cast you out of its midst, and I will give you over to the hand of the enemies, and I will execute judgments among you.
10 Cadrete sotto la spada: ai confini di Israele vi giudicherò, e conoscerete ch'io sono il Signore.	10 You will fall by the sword. I will judge you within the borders of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord.
11 Questa città non sarà per voi una in mezzo ad essa, ma ai confini d'Israele vi giudicherò.	11 This city will not be a cooking pot for you, and you will not be like meat in its midst. I will judge you within the borders of Israel.
12 E conoscerete che io sono il Signore, perchè non avete camminato sulla via dei miei precetti e non avete praticato i miei statuti, ma avete operato secondo le pratiche delle genti che stanno intorno a voi -».	12 And you shall know that I am the Lord. For you have not walked in my precepts, and you have not accomplished my judgments. Instead, you have acted in accord with the judgments of the Gentiles, who are all around you.”
13 E avvenne che, mentre io pronunziava il vaticinio, Peltia, figlio di Banaia cascò morto, ed io mi prostrai sopra la faccia gridando con gran voce ed esclamai: «Ahi, ahi, ahi, Signore Dio! Sterminerai tu dunque tutti gli avanzi d'Israele?».	13 And it happened that, when I prophesied, Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, died. And I fell upon my face, and I cried out with a loud voice, and I said: “Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God! Will you cause the consummation of the remnant of Israel?”
14 E il Signore mi comunicò la sua parola dicendo:	14 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
15 «O figlio dell'uomo, ai tuoi fratelli, ai fratelli e ai congiunti tuoi, e tutti gli altri della famiglia d'Israele, gli abitanti di Gerusalemme hanno detto: - Voi andatevene lontano dal Signore, la terra è stata data in retaggio a noi. -	15 “Son of man, your brothers, the men among your close relatives, your brothers and the entire house of Israel, are all among those to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said: ‘Withdraw far from the Lord; the earth has been given to us as a possession.’
16 Ciò nonostante il Signore Dio dice: - Siccome li ho mandati lontano tra le genti e li ho dispersi per varie contrade, io sarò a loro santuario di breve durata nei paesi dove saranno arrivati. -	16 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Since I have caused them to be far away, among the Gentiles, and since I have dispersed them among the lands, I will be a little sanctuary for them within the lands to which they have gone.
17 Dirai quindi: - Così dice il Signore Dio: Io vi raccoglierò di mezzo ai popoli e vi radunerò dai paesi nei quali vi trovate dispersi e vi ridarò il suolo d'Israele;	17 Because of this, say to them: Thus says the Lord God: I will gather you from among the peoples, and I will unite you, from the lands into which you were dispersed, and I will give the soil of Israel to you.
18 vi rientreranno ed estirperanno da esso tutte le occasioni di peccato e ogni cosa abominevole.	18 And they shall go to that place, and they shall remove all the offenses and all its abominations from that place.
19 E darò loro un cuore unanime, un nuovo spirito infonderò nel loro interno, e strapperò dai loro precordi il cuore di sasso e vi sostituirò un cuore di carne.	19 And I will give them one heart. And I will distribute a new spirit to their interior. And I will take away the heart of stone from their body. And I will give them a heart of flesh.
20 Affinchè camminino sulla via dei miei precetti, e osservino i miei statuti e li mettano in pratica; ed essi siano il mio popolo e io sia il loro Dio.	20 So may they may walk in my precepts, and observe my judgments, and accomplish them. And so may they be my people, and I will be their God.
21 Ma in quelli che col cuore vanno dietro alle occasioni di peccato e alle cose abominevoli, farò pesare la pena dei loro traviamenti sopra il loro capo-».	21 But as for those whose heart walks after their offenses and abominations, I will set their own way upon their head, says the Lord God.”
22 Allora i cherubini si librarono sopra le loro ali colle ruote insieme e la gloria del Dio d'Israele al di sopra di loro.	22 And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels with them. And the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
23 E la gloria del Signore si sollevò dal di dentro della città e andò a posarsi sul monte che sta a oriente della città.	23 And the glory of the Lord ascended from the midst of the city and stood above the mountain, which is to the east of the city.
24 E lo spirito mi rapì e mi riportò in Caldea, in mezzo agli esiliati, tutto in visione nello spirito di Dio; e sparì da me la visione che aveva veduto.	24 And the Spirit lifted me up, and he brought me into Chaldea, to those of the transmigration, in a vision, in the Spirit of God. And the vision that I had seen was raised up, away from me.
25 E riferii agli esiliati tutto quello che da parte del Signore mi era stato mostrato.	25 And I spoke, to those of the transmigration, all the words of the Lord that he had revealed to me.
