1 Lamentación. De David. La que cantó a Yahveh a propósito del benjaminita Kus.	1 A plaintive song of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, the Benjaminite.
2 Yahveh, Dios mío, a ti me acojo, sálvame de todos mis perseguidores, líbrame;	2 LORD my God, in you I take refuge; rescue me; save me from all who pursue me,
3 ¡que no arrebate como un león mi vida el que desgarra, sin que nadie libre!	3 Lest they maul me like lions, tear me to pieces with none to save.
4 Yahveh, Dios mío, si algo de esto hice, si hay en mis manos injusticia,	4 LORD my God, if I am at fault in this, if there is guilt on my hands,
5 si a mi bienhechor con mal he respondido si he perdonado al opresor injusto,	5 If I have repaid my friend with evil-- I spared even those who hated me without cause--
6 ¡que el enemigo me persiga y me alcance, estrelle mi vida contra el suelo, y tire mis entrañas por el polvo! Pausa.	6 Then let my enemy pursue and overtake me, trample my life to the ground, and leave me dishonored in the dust.Selah
7 Levántate, Yahveh, en tu cólera, surge contra los arrebatos de mis opresores, despierta ya, Dios mío, tú que el juicio convocas.	7 Rise up, LORD, in your anger; rise against the fury of my foes. Wake to judge as you have decreed.
8 Que te rodee la asamblea de las naciones, y tú en lo alto vuélvete hacia ella.	8 Have the assembly of the peoples gather about you; sit on your throne high above them,
9 (Yahveh, juez de los pueblos.) Júzgame, Yahveh, conforme a mi justicia y según mi inocencia.	9 O LORD, judge of the nations. Grant me justice, LORD, for I am blameless, free of any guilt.
10 Haz que cese la maldad de los impíos, y afianza al justo, tú que escrutas corazones y entrañas, oh Dios justo.	10 Bring the malice of the wicked to an end; uphold the innocent, O God of justice, who tries hearts and minds.
11 Dios, el escudo que me cubre, el salvador de los de recto corazón;	11 A shield before me is God who saves the honest heart.
12 Dios, el juez justo, tardo a la cólera, pero Dios amenazante en todo tiempo	12 God is a just judge, who rebukes in anger every day.
13 para el que no se vuelve. Afile su espada el enemigo, tense su arco y lo apareje,	13 If sinners do not repent, God sharpens his sword, strings and readies the bow,
14 para sí solo prepara armas de muerte, hace tizones de sus flechas;	14 Prepares his deadly shafts, makes arrows blazing thunderbolts.
15 vedle en su preñez de iniquidad, malicia concibió, fracaso pare.	15 Sinners conceive iniquity; pregnant with mischief, they give birth to failure.
16 Cavó una fosa, recavó bien hondo, mas cae en el hoyo que él abrió;	16 They open a hole and dig it deep, but fall into the pit they have dug.
17 revierte su obra en su cabeza, su violencia en su cerviz recae.	17 Their mischief comes back upon themselves; their violence falls on their own heads.
18 Doy gracias a Yahveh por su justicia, salmodio al nombre de Yahveh, el Altísimo.	18 I praise the justice of the LORD; I celebrate the name of the LORD Most High.
