1 [Ein Wallfahrtslied.] Aus der Tiefe rufe ich, Herr, zu dir:	1 A song of ascents. Out of the depths I call to you, LORD;
2 Herr, höre meine Stimme! Wende dein Ohr mir zu, achte auf mein lautes Flehen!	2 Lord, hear my cry! May your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
3 Würdest du, Herr, unsere Sünden beachten, Herr, wer könnte bestehen?	3 If you, LORD, mark our sins, Lord, who can stand?
4 Doch bei dir ist Vergebung, damit man in Ehrfurcht dir dient.	4 But with you is forgiveness and so you are revered.
5 Ich hoffe auf den Herrn, es hofft meine Seele, ich warte voll Vertrauen auf sein Wort.	5 I wait with longing for the LORD, my soul waits for his word.
6 Meine Seele wartet auf den Herrn mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen. Mehr als die Wächter auf den Morgen	6 My soul looks for the Lord more than sentinels for daybreak. More than sentinels for daybreak,
7 soll Israel harren auf den Herrn. Denn beim Herrn ist die Huld, bei ihm ist Erlösung in Fülle.	7 let Israel look for the LORD, For with the LORD is kindness, with him is full redemption,
8 Ja, er wird Israel erlösen von all seinen Sünden.	8 And God will redeem Israel from all their sins.
