1 E fatte che furono queste cose secondo il rito, tutti gl'Israeliti, che si trovarono nelle citta di Giuda, andarono a spezzare i simolacri, e tagliare i boschetti, e i demolire i luoghi eccelsi, e a distrugger gli altari non solo in tutto il paese di Giuda, e di Beniamin ma anche ne' paesi di Ephraim, e di Manasse; né si ristettero finché gli ebbero totalmente annichilati: indi tutti i figliuoli d'Israele se ne tornarono alle loro possessioni, e alle loro città.	1 And when these things had been celebrated according to ritual, all of Israel who had been found in the cities of Judah went forth, and they broke apart the idols and cut down the sacred groves. They demolished the high places and destroyed the altars, not only out of all Judah and Benjamin, but also out of Ephraim as well as Manasseh, until they utterly destroyed them. And all the sons of Israel returned to their possessions and cities.
2 Ed Ezechia formò varie classi di sacerdoti, e di Leviti secondo i loro scompartimenti; e ognuno tanto de' sacerdoti, come de' Leviti avea l'uffizio proprio pegli olocausti, e pelle ostie pacifiche, affinchè esercitassero il lor ministero, e desser lode a Dio, e cantassero alle porte dell'alloggiamento del Signore.	2 Then Hezekiah appointed the companies of the priests and Levites by their divisions, each man in his proper office, certainly as much for the priests as for the Levites, for the sake of holocausts and peace offerings, so that they might minister and confess and sing, at the gates of the camp of the Lord.
3 E il re suppliva del suo proprio tesoro all'oblazione dell'olocausto perpetuo della mattina, e della sera, e di quelli dei sabati, e delle calende, e delle altre solennità, come sta scritto nella legge di Mosè.	3 Now the portion of the king, from his own substance, was such that they could offer a holocaust always, in morning and in evening, also on the Sabbaths, and the new moons, and the other solemnities, just as it was written in the law of Moses.
4 Egli pure comandò al popolo dimorante in Gerusalemme di dare ai sacerdoti, e Leviti le loro porzioni, affinchè potessero attendere all'adempimento della legge del Signore.	4 And now he instructed the people living in Jerusalem that they were to give portions to the priests and Levites, so that they would be able to attend to the law of the Lord.
5 La qual cosa subito che venne alle orecchie del popolo, i figliuoli d'Israele offersero in gran quantità le primizie del grano, del vino, e dell'olio, e anche del miele; e offerser la decima di tutto quello, che la terra produce.	5 And when this had reached the ears of the multitude, the sons of Israel brought an abundance of first-fruits of grain, wine, and oil, and also honey. And they offered a tenth part of all that the soil brings forth.
6 E que' figliuoli d'Israele, e di Giuda, i quali abitavano nelta città di Giuda, offersero la decima de' buoi, e delle pecore, e la decima delle cose santificate, e offerte per voto al Signore Dio loro; e portate tutte queste cose, ne fecero grandi masse.	6 Then too, the sons of Israel and Judah, who were living in the cities of Judah, brought tithes of oxen and sheep, and tithes of the holy things that they had vowed to the Lord their God. And carrying all these things, they made many stacks.
7 Il terzo mese cominciarono ad ammassare, e finirono al settimo.	7 In the third month, they began to lay out the foundations of the stacks. And in the seventh month, they finished them.
8 Ed essendosi portati colà Ezechia, e i suoi grandi, vider le masse, e benedissero il Signore, e (lodarono) il popolo d'Israele.	8 And when Hezekiah and his rulers had entered, they saw the stacks, and they blessed the Lord and the people of Israel.
9 Ed Ezechia domandò ai sacerdoti, e ai Leviti il perchè tutte quelle masse di roba stesser per terra.	9 And Hezekiah questioned the priests and Levites, as to why the stacks were laid out in this way.
10 E Azaria della stirpe di Sadoc, primo Sacerdote rispose, e disse: Dopo che principiarono ad offerirsi le primizie nella casa del Signore, noi ne abbiam mangiato a sazietà, ma moltissimo è quello, che è avanzato, perchè il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo: e gli avanzi sono in quella quantità, che tu vedi.	10 Azariah, the high priest from the stock of Zadok, answered him, saying: “Since the first-fruits began to be offered in the house of the Lord, we have eaten and been satisfied, and much remains. For the Lord has blessed his people. Then what was left over is this great abundance, which you see.”
11 Ordinò pertanto Ezechia, che si preparassero de' granaj nella casa del Signore.	11 And so Hezekiah instructed that they should prepare storage places for the house of the Lord. And when they had done so,
12 E fatto questo, vi riposer dentro fedelmente tanto le primizie, come le decime, e le offerte di voto. E ne fu data la custodia a Chonenia Levita, e in secondo luogo a Semei suo fratello;	12 they faithfully brought in the first-fruits, as well as the tithes and all that they had vowed. Now the overseer of these things was Conaniah, a Levite; and his brother, Shimei, was second.
13 E dopo di questo a Jahiel, e ad Azaria, e a Nahath, Asael, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliei, e Jesmachia, e a Mahatli, e a Banaia deputati, con dipendenza da Chonenia, e da Semei suo fratello per comando del re Ezechia, di Azaria Pontefice della casa di Dio ai quali rendevasi conto di ogni cosa.	13 And after him, there was Jehiel, and Azariah, and Nahath, and Asaahel, and Jerimoth, and also Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, who were overseers under the hands of Conaniah, and his brother, Shimei, by the authority of Hezekiah, the king, and Azariah, the high priest of the house of God, to whom all these things belonged.
14 E Core figliuolo di Jemma Levitae portinaio della porta orientale avea la custodia di quelle cose, che si offerivan spontaneamente al Signore, e delle primizie, e delle cose offerte pel Santo de Santi.	14 Yet truly, Kore, the son of Imnah, a Levite and the porter of the eastern gate, was the overseer of the things that were being offered freely to the Lord, and of the first-fruits, and of the things consecrated for the Holy of Holies.
15 E sotto di lui erano Eden, e Beniamin, Jesue, e Semeia, e Amaria, e Sechenia nelle città sacerdotali per distribuire fedelmente le porzioni loro ai fratelli minori, e maggiori:	15 And under his charge were Eden, and Benjamin, Jeshua, and Shemaiah, and also Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, so that they would distribute faithfully to their brothers, the small as well as the great, their portions
16 E (oltre i maschi dai tre anni insu) a tutti quelli, che avean ingresso nel tempio del Signore, e tutto quello, che conveniva per ogni giorno ai diversi ministeri, e ufficj secondo le loro distribuzioni.	16 (except for the males from three years old and upward) for all who were entering the temple of the Lord, and for whatever was needed for the ministry, throughout each day, as well as for the observances according to their divisions.
17 Ai sacerdoti secondo le loro famiglie, e ai Leviti dai venti anni in su secondo la divisione delle schiere, e ordini di essi;	17 And so, for the priests, by their families, and for the Levites, from the twentieth year and upward, by their orders and companies,
18 A tutta la moltitudine, e alle mogli loro, e ai figliuoli dell'uno, e dell'altro sesso si dava fedelmente da mangiare di quello, che veniva offerto.	18 and for the entire multitude, as much for the wives as for their children of both sexes, provisions were offered faithfully from whatever had been sanctified.
19 E vi erano de' figliuoli d'Aarone nelle campagne, e ne' sobborghi di ciascheduna città deputati a distribuire le porzioni a tutti i maschi della stirpe de'sacerdoti, e de' Leviti.	19 Then too, men were appointed of the sons of Aaron, throughout the fields and the suburbs of each city, who would distribute portions to all the males among the priests and Levites.
20 Ezechia adunque fece tutto quello, che abbiam detto, in tutto il paese di Giuda: e fece quel, che era ben fatto, e retto, e giusto dinanzi al Signore Dio suo,	20 Therefore, Hezekiah did all these things (which we have said) in all of Judah. And he worked what is good and upright and true before the Lord his God,
21 In tutto quello, che esigeva il ministero della casa del Signore, secondo la legge, e le cerimonie, bramoso di cercare con tutto il cuor suo il suo Dio: ed ei lo fece, e fu prosperato.	21 for the whole service of the ministry of the house of the Lord, in accord with the law and the ceremonies, desiring to seek his God with his whole heart. And he did so, and he prospered.
