1 E fatte che furono queste cose secondo il rito, tutti gl'Israeliti, che si trovarono nelle citta di Giuda, andarono a spezzare i simolacri, e tagliare i boschetti, e i demolire i luoghi eccelsi, e a distrugger gli altari non solo in tutto il paese di Giuda, e di Beniamin ma anche ne' paesi di Ephraim, e di Manasse; né si ristettero finché gli ebbero totalmente annichilati: indi tutti i figliuoli d'Israele se ne tornarono alle loro possessioni, e alle loro città.	1 After all this was over, those Israelites who had been present went forth to the cities of Judah and smashed the sacred pillars, cut down the sacred poles, and tore down the high places and altars throughout Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim and Manasseh, until all were destroyed. Then the Israelites returned to their various cities, each to his own possession.
2 Ed Ezechia formò varie classi di sacerdoti, e di Leviti secondo i loro scompartimenti; e ognuno tanto de' sacerdoti, come de' Leviti avea l'uffizio proprio pegli olocausti, e pelle ostie pacifiche, affinchè esercitassero il lor ministero, e desser lode a Dio, e cantassero alle porte dell'alloggiamento del Signore.	2 Hezekiah reestablished the classes of the priests and the Levites according to their former classification, assigning to each priest and Levite his proper service, whether in regard to holocausts or peace offerings, thanksgiving or praise, or ministering in the gates of the encampment of the LORD.
3 E il re suppliva del suo proprio tesoro all'oblazione dell'olocausto perpetuo della mattina, e della sera, e di quelli dei sabati, e delle calende, e delle altre solennità, come sta scritto nella legge di Mosè.	3 From his own wealth the king allotted a portion for holocausts, those of morning and evening and those on sabbaths, new moons and festivals, as prescribed in the law of the LORD.
4 Egli pure comandò al popolo dimorante in Gerusalemme di dare ai sacerdoti, e Leviti le loro porzioni, affinchè potessero attendere all'adempimento della legge del Signore.	4 He also commanded the people living in Jerusalem to provide the support of the priests and Levites, that they might devote themselves entirely to the law of the LORD.
5 La qual cosa subito che venne alle orecchie del popolo, i figliuoli d'Israele offersero in gran quantità le primizie del grano, del vino, e dell'olio, e anche del miele; e offerser la decima di tutto quello, che la terra produce.	5 As soon as the order was promulgated, the Israelites brought, in great quantities, the best of their grain, wine, oil and honey, and all the produce of the fields; they gave a generous tithe of everything.
6 E que' figliuoli d'Israele, e di Giuda, i quali abitavano nelta città di Giuda, offersero la decima de' buoi, e delle pecore, e la decima delle cose santificate, e offerte per voto al Signore Dio loro; e portate tutte queste cose, ne fecero grandi masse.	6 Israelites and Judahites living in other cities of Judah also brought in tithes of oxen, sheep, and things that had been consecrated to the LORD, their God; these they brought in and set out in heaps.
7 Il terzo mese cominciarono ad ammassare, e finirono al settimo.	7 It was in the third month that they began to establish these heaps, and they completed them in the seventh month.
8 Ed essendosi portati colà Ezechia, e i suoi grandi, vider le masse, e benedissero il Signore, e (lodarono) il popolo d'Israele.	8 When Hezekiah and the princes had come and seen the heaps, they blessed the LORD and his people Israel.
9 Ed Ezechia domandò ai sacerdoti, e ai Leviti il perchè tutte quelle masse di roba stesser per terra.	9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps,
10 E Azaria della stirpe di Sadoc, primo Sacerdote rispose, e disse: Dopo che principiarono ad offerirsi le primizie nella casa del Signore, noi ne abbiam mangiato a sazietà, ma moltissimo è quello, che è avanzato, perchè il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo: e gli avanzi sono in quella quantità, che tu vedi.	10 and the priest Azariah, head of the house of Zadoc, answered him, "Since they began to bring the offerings to the house of the LORD, we have eaten to the full and have had much left over, for the LORD has blessed his people. This great supply is what was left over."
11 Ordinò pertanto Ezechia, che si preparassero de' granaj nella casa del Signore.	11 Hezekiah then gave orders that chambers be constructed in the house of the LORD. When this had been done,
12 E fatto questo, vi riposer dentro fedelmente tanto le primizie, come le decime, e le offerte di voto. E ne fu data la custodia a Chonenia Levita, e in secondo luogo a Semei suo fratello;	12 the offerings, tithes and consecrated things were deposited there in safekeeping. The overseer of these things was Conaniah the Levite, and his brother Shimei was second in charge.
13 E dopo di questo a Jahiel, e ad Azaria, e a Nahath, Asael, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliei, e Jesmachia, e a Mahatli, e a Banaia deputati, con dipendenza da Chonenia, e da Semei suo fratello per comando del re Ezechia, di Azaria Pontefice della casa di Dio ai quali rendevasi conto di ogni cosa.	13 Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath and Benaiah were supervisors subject to Conaniah and his brother Shimei by appointment of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the prefect of the house of God.
14 E Core figliuolo di Jemma Levitae portinaio della porta orientale avea la custodia di quelle cose, che si offerivan spontaneamente al Signore, e delle primizie, e delle cose offerte pel Santo de Santi.	14 Kore, the son of Imnah, a Levite and the keeper of the eastern gate, was in charge of the free-will gifts made to God; he distributed the offerings made to the LORD and the most holy of the consecrated things.
15 E sotto di lui erano Eden, e Beniamin, Jesue, e Semeia, e Amaria, e Sechenia nelle città sacerdotali per distribuire fedelmente le porzioni loro ai fratelli minori, e maggiori:	15 Under him in the priestly cities were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah and Shecaniah, who faithfully made the distribution to their brethren, great and small alike, according to their classes.
16 E (oltre i maschi dai tre anni insu) a tutti quelli, che avean ingresso nel tempio del Signore, e tutto quello, che conveniva per ogni giorno ai diversi ministeri, e ufficj secondo le loro distribuzioni.	16 There was also a register by ancestral houses of males thirty years of age and over, for all priests who were eligible to enter the house of the LORD according to the daily rule to fulfill their service in the order of their classes.
17 Ai sacerdoti secondo le loro famiglie, e ai Leviti dai venti anni in su secondo la divisione delle schiere, e ordini di essi;	17 The priests were inscribed in their family records according to their ancestral houses, and the Levites of twenty years and over according to their various offices and classes.
18 A tutta la moltitudine, e alle mogli loro, e ai figliuoli dell'uno, e dell'altro sesso si dava fedelmente da mangiare di quello, che veniva offerto.	18 A distribution was also made to all who were inscribed in the family records, for their little ones, wives, sons and daughters--thus for the entire assembly, since they were to sanctify themselves by sharing faithfully in the consecrated things.
19 E vi erano de' figliuoli d'Aarone nelle campagne, e ne' sobborghi di ciascheduna città deputati a distribuire le porzioni a tutti i maschi della stirpe de'sacerdoti, e de' Leviti.	19 The sons of Aaron, the priests who lived on the lands attached to their cities, had in every city men designated by name to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to every Levite listed in the family records.
20 Ezechia adunque fece tutto quello, che abbiam detto, in tutto il paese di Giuda: e fece quel, che era ben fatto, e retto, e giusto dinanzi al Signore Dio suo,	20 This Hezekiah did in all Judah. He did what was good, upright and faithful before the LORD, his God.
21 In tutto quello, che esigeva il ministero della casa del Signore, secondo la legge, e le cerimonie, bramoso di cercare con tutto il cuor suo il suo Dio: ed ei lo fece, e fu prosperato.	21 Everything that he undertook, for the service of the house of God or for the law and the commandments, was to do the will of his God. He did this wholeheartedly, and he prospered.
