2 O Signore, non mi riprendere nel tuo sdegno, non mi punire nell'ira tua.	2 O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your anger.
3 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, chè son malato, ridonami la salute, perchè le mie ossa sono sconquassate.	3 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, Lord, for my bones have become disturbed,
4 Anche l'anima mia è oltremodo turbata. Ma tu, o Signore, fino a quando...?	4 and my soul has been very troubled. But as for you, Lord, when?
5 Volgiti, o Signore, e libera l'anima mia, salvami per la tua misericordia.	5 Turn to me, Lord, and rescue my soul. Save me because of your mercy.
6 Perchè nella morte non v'è chi si ricordi di te. E nel soggiorno dei morti chi ti canterà lodi?	6 For there is no one in death who would be mindful of you. And who will confess to you in Hell?
7 Io sono sfinito dal piangere. Lavo tutte le notti il mio letto, bagno di lacrime il mio giaciglio.	7 I have labored in my groaning. Every night, with my tears, I will wash my bed and drench my blanket.
8 Il mio occhio è diventato torvo dall'indignazione: sono invecchiato in mezzo a tanti miei nemici.	8 My eye has been troubled by rage. I have grown old among all my enemies.
9 Lungi da me voi tutti, operatori d'iniquità! perchè il Signore ha sentita la voce del mio pianto.	9 Scatter before me, all you who work iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
10 Il Signore ha esaudita la mia supplica, il Signore ha accolta la mia preghiera.	10 The Lord has heard my supplication. The Lord has accepted my prayer.
11 Si vergognino e sian pieni di spavento tutti i miei nemici, sian volti in fuga e svergognati in un batter d'occhio.	11 Let all my enemies be ashamed and together be greatly troubled. May they be converted and become ashamed very quickly.
