1 (Per la fine per colei che ottiene l'eredità. Salmo di David).	1 Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David.
2 Porgi l'orecchio alle mie parole, o Signore, ascolta il mio grido.	2 O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.
3 Piegati al suono della mia preghiera, o mio re e mio Dio.	3 Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.
4 E' a te che innalzo la mia pre­ghiera; Signore, al mattino tu ascolti la mia voce.	4 For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.
5 Al mattino sto davanti a te, e guardo, chè tu non sei un Dio a cui piaccia l'iniquità.	5 In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.
6 Chè non sta presso di te il maligno, nè gl'ingiusti posson reggere alla tua presenza.	6 And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.
7 Tu hai in odio tutti quelli che fanno il male, tu mandi in rovina tutti i menzogneri. Il Signore ha in abbominio l'uomo sanguinario e fraudolento.	7 You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.
8 Io però, per la tua gran misericordia, entro nella tua casa, mi prostro nel tuo santo tempio colla riverenza a te dovuta.	8 But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.
9 Signore, guidami nella tua giustizia, per riguardo ai miei nemici, rendi diritta dinanzi a te la mia via.	9 Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.
10 Perchè sulla loro bocca non c'è sincerità, il loro cuore è un abisso.	10 For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.
11 La loro gola è un sepolcro aperto, colle loro lingue van tessendo inganni. Condannali, o Dio. Sian delusi nei loro disegni, per tanta loro empietà disperdili, perchè ti hanno irritato, o Signore.	11 Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.
12 E si rallegrino tutti quelli che sperano in te. Essi giubilino in eterno, e tu abita in loro; e in te si gloriino tutti quelli che amano il tuo nome.	12 But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.
13 Perché tu benedici il giusto. O Signore, tu ci copri colla tua grazia come con uno scudo.	13 For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.
